One year, it’s official

Here is the latest spreadsheet, assuming referrals arrive Monday.

As you can see, we are now officially at the one year wait. Even if you average the shortest and longest wait it’s still more than 12 months this time. The out-of-touch “expert” on APC may have to admit that we’ve now gone over a year.

As always, you can click on the “CCAA Updates & Referrals” Link in the sidebar to see a full sized version of this spreadsheet.

well, I suppose if the CCAA decides, as has been mentioned several times, to TRY and keep things around 12-13 months…now’s the time. I would imagine it would have to be a month at a time…perhaps getting through to the 18th as being speculated…then 3-4 weeks after. I remember last year they were matching mid month to mid month I think…???

Here’s to hoping at least some rumour comes true.

I’m with tgredthread. With an 8/30 LID I would be ecstatic to see an October referral and be jumping out of my skin to see a September one.

I was so excited when I read that title! At first I thought that the CCAA had made an announcement :( anyway, I am crossing fingers and toes that they try to stay at 12 months, although I think I would ideally like 13 months since I am reading blogs of those in China picking up kids and its really hot there! LOL not meant to offend anyone that I may be more interested in weather rather than my child!

    oscar1elmo-

i don’t think it’s offensive to hope that you’re in China when the weather is half-way decent. I know we’ve hoped to be there in either spring or fall. I wouldn’t mind the cold, but I’m not good with really high temps (and humidity). I think knowing the ’stress’ and uncertainty of trying to bond and hang with your new child, the last thing you want is to feel miserable because of the weather (and pollution on top of it).

    :)

I’m terrified of the cold! I think I own one sweater, and it’s made of cotton. If we hold at 12-13 months, I’ll be there in deepest darkest winter. But I’d go to Antarctica for our Chinita.

I think, depending on where you end up, winter isn’t tooooo bad there. but rosie you said it. :)

WHAT IS THE WORD on JUly???? Some are saying it is a BIG month (# of dossiers), but from looking quickly at the numbers, looks like all of July is about the same, a little less, than June 16-28?? So they should be able to move through July at a good pace…And August is smaller…and September…
How does Oct. compare? (I’m NOv. LID…can you tell)

  8. tgredthread Says:

    violet-
i’ve hear that july was alittle bit smaller than June (however my agencies says they sent about the same amount of dossiers both months). August is supposed to be relatively smaller. I don’t know how September stacks up, but I saw someone post on here they thought Oct was fairly large.
    But this too is speculation…

    :)

We recently heard from our China-only agency that they were moving into their ’slow’ summer period. It sounds, from that message, that agencies may regularly receive less dossiers during the summer months than they do during other months.
