Thank you jfkof3. I just went there and then went directly and bought the cleft palate bottles to take as a gift. Have a restful weekend to all. Hopefully more good news of Monday.

OK, Where is emanuel's site? I want to look there too. I too enjoyed the conversation last night. I actually did read the Brian Stuy post and as said it was enlightening and a bit unnerving. We at least see light at the end of this tunnel. Has anyone heard anymore about surprise boy referrals? I saw a few on some blogs. they are precious. LID 9/15

okay...a promise from all the Aug LIDders...
I, being a grown man, am not ashamed to say that when it's time to get our referral, I am going to be doing the 'Snoopy Dance' all over the place. It's fun and will be great to teach your kid when they're alittle older (i'm going to teach it to my daughter)

so you guys (Ohioan for 'all of you') have to do that with me. okay?! :) if not, hey, i can snoopy dance by myself (think the wife has her own celebratory dance or something...hehe)

that's all I have for now...must get back to work: everyone have a great weekend! :)

My dh was adopted domestically too and he had such a wonderful experience. It is true that some people feel negatively about being adopted but I think there are many more who have a good experience. It breaks my heart to hear the negative stories about people who are so hurt by it. I guess all I can do is love her and give her the best life that I can that includes her culture. I wish that the babies could all stay in China for them, but I am glad to have the chace to be a mommy to one. If the choice is an instition there or a loving family here I guess the love and family outways the rest for me. Every child should have someone who loves them like they are the best thing ever and that is what I hope to give her. I do hope things speed up because we are 11/23/05 lid and I can not wait to see her little face! The referrals this time really made me think she is real! :)

This Aug Lidder is getting really antsy!! It does finally feel like it is getting closer like you said tgredthread!

I also want to thank everyone for the discussion yesterday.
When I saw that the topic was going towards how adopted children feel etc, I deliberately quit reading. BUT after I read RQ's comment this morning I went back and reread the thread--you are ALL AWESOME!! I am adopted domestically ( a LOOONNNGGG time ago!). I have had so many negative experiences with this topic because I am a HAPPY adoptee. I have had people tell me I am in denial because I think my adoption was a great thing. I am always open to others and the fact that they feel differently and am okay with that. I don't even tell people anymore on these sites that I am one of those weird happy adoptees because of what they say. You all are amazing. I have never read a more positive or civil thread on this topic-thank you so much for giving me faith back in adoptees and adopted parents that they can talk nicely and intelligently about this! I love this site!!!
