CCAA site, another source
The CCAA site is still down. For it to be down this long I wonder if maybe they had a hardware failure or something. The server seems to have had problems for a while (crashing when we overload it), so maybe it finally went kerplunk? Or maybe it’s something else.
I have an interesting email that I’m still processing in my head. Basically, it’s someone who has more information than us who is concerned that we are getting our hopes up that things are about to speed up, when this person doesn’t believe that is going to happen. Some convincing points were made, most of which I was (understandably) asked to not divulge. And I’m in a bit of a rush this morning and I don’t have time to figure out what I can safely talk about right now – but give me some time and I’ll get the most important points out.
I’d really like to hear from my old source about this, it’s been a long time since I’ve heard from them.
I am not an adrenaline junkie, I don’t really like these ups and downs. We’re not far from the point of the month where we start hearing actual estimates of how far the CCAA thinks they are going to get this time.

Hmmm…maybe they are moving the server as part of the move. Wow! That would mean they would actually be moving! So I guess that can’t be it.

Urghhh. I feel like I am on that roller coaster again and I’m not liking it. I usually am pretty good at realizing that rumors are rumors but it seems the rumors have been pretty consistant this month and then this one just blew me away. I hope your source is wrong! I guess we should know either way by the end of next week! I’m keeping all of my fingers, toes, and everything else crossed hoping that CCAA completes the rest of June and all of July. A girl can dream can’t she????

I’m having a hard time believing we are about to start flying too. If I remember right the CCAA has said they expect it to get worse before they expect it to get better, didn’t they? (or someone said that in response to what the CCAA told them)
I think it’s completely possible that they will match more days for a few months and then slow down again.
It’s never boring that’s for sure!

it IS possible that the rumors start with us, make their rumor-y way around, and come back to us. I have a feeling alot of people are looking at the polls and making their own conclusions…oh well. it was nice while it lasted…can’t wait to hear more about these “convincing” points…

I am taking everything I read on this site with a grain of salt. You just have to. Just because 357 of us are crossing our toes and fingers and eyes and whatever, wishing for something to be true doesn’t mean that it is true. I really think that we need to keep our hearts in check and HOPE for good news….but always remember that we cannot hold ANY rumor as truth until we actually hear from the CCAA itself via update. I don’t mean to make you sad, I am among you, the most hopeful for a BIG batch, but after having set myself up in the past, and being burned, time after time again, I just can’t do that to myself anymore. With that said, it’s DEFINITELY about time we get some good news…some pleasant surprise….and maybe it’s just our turn to get that.
I just checked the CCAA website again too, and since I do not believe they would update this early in the month, I am hoping that it is indeed the move, once and for all, and that they are getting that out of the way so that by next week, week and a half, they can really concentrate on getting out those referrals in their new, larger facility. I think that would benefit us all if that were true. RQ is right; the site has not been down for this long in the past, that it almost has to be the server…..due to the move or something. Just my $.02
