my referral is from guandong—-this news really sucks…..my friend said she had the baby only 1 day when they had the adoption…she was very put off by that because she thought part of the reason you are there so long is to see if the baby is ok, a good fit, bond, etc…..then adopt……that makes sense, however, dragging all this out just means i will be stuck there far from home, my husband and daughter, our doctors, etc. paying outrageous hotel bills because our agency puts us in the white swan the whole time

I am a novice with the tracking RQ does, but is there an overwhelming majority from Guandong?

It seems like my agency doesn’t get too many referrals from Guandong and our trips are usually right at 2 weeks, 13-15 days is what I’ve usually seen.

Ah, and think of how much more money we will spend in China ( hotels, restaurants, goods etc.) if we all have to add a week to our stays. I am wondering if this plays a part as well.

It’s important because that is the way the CCAA intends for it to work. They want families to spend enough time in China to get a feel for the country, to learn about the country, so they can teach their children about the country they were born in.

They’ve always said a two week stay, but some agencies discovered a way around that for families adopting from this province, and now the CCAA is fixing it so that agencies can’t do that anymore.

Say what? Yes we stayed only 9 days with our first from GZ. Why is it so important that we stay 2 weeks? I’m confused!

More news. My agency did verify that in fact the CCAA is presently moving. They had been gradually shifting over to new office but right now the are doing the big part of the move, This could delay referrals a bit and possibly when they do come out they may not have accplished as many as we all hope. No one coulfd be more dissappointed as we are LID 7-26. Praying now all dossier make it safely to new office. Agency also confirms there will be a new required lenhth of stay for Guangdong Prov. although they felt wording is ambiguous as to the exact new system and timeframe requirments.
