Okay, this comes from one person, but they’ve been around a while so I don’t think they’d send something bogus.
There is one largish well known agency saying this is a well planned move to ensure this does not impact the adoption process. The CCAA will not close, they will move departments one by one.

Our China only agency said that the CCAA was moving and would NOT close, business as usual :)
July 17th, 2006 at 7:36 pm
our large chinese only agency said also that they are moving, there will be no disruption of the process and they would not close down.
July 17th, 2006 at 7:38 pm
Ditto. Our large China only sent out an email that the CCAA will not close down and they are moving each department one by one.

RQ,
Sorry you’re having a bad day. HATE mosquitoes too! Live in Maine - they’re the state bird !
So I’ve been reading everything these past few days and here are my thoughts:
I will be very happy if CCAA comes out with referrals through the 13th this month. It is two days more than last month - they are heading in the right direction.
I too have heard from our large China only agency about the move and they say the same as your source - “The CCAA will not close, they will move departments one by one.” I believe my agency when they say this as they have never once given me false information.
I feel for the families who are just now logging in. But at the very least, they are going into this knowing the wait will be long. When we logged in we were thinking 6-7 months and then each month was like extracting teeth with tweezers…
As for the SWI’s not having enough babies - bunk - I truely believe that it is all about the “paper ready” problem. Hopefully this too shall pass.
Dh and I are on our 11th month wait right now and are praying that we can travel before the end of the year and avoid re-doing the dreaded I-171H. Ehhh, it’s only money.
I just keep reminding myself that this is all about the children and not me… I can wait in the comfort of my own home, surrounded by loved ones, with the knowledge that the wait WILL end soon. My child does not have this luxury.
And so until my turn comes and the CCAA releases our referal, I’ll keep reading this great site and stay on this roller coaster (no matter how much I want to hurl).
Thank you RQ, for bringing information to this group and giving us a place to hang out while we wait for our children to come home.
8/24/05 I see a faint light at the end of the tunnel

Our largish, C.O. agency sent us this message, too.

Thanks to all of you that have agencies that will tell you something, ours is not good at sharing info.

To be honest, I was surprised that we got this info, as our agency doesn’t seem to be communicative about most things.

Thanks everyone, I really needed some good news tonight. LID 7/6
July 17th, 2006 at 10:05 pm
our agency said the same:
Business as usual. Each department moving separately, no closures, and it is not expected to affect business. They said it has been well planned and in process for several weeks now.
July 17th, 2006 at 10:12 pm
If it’s so well planned, then we should see referrals very soon. That shouldn’t change either. :)
July 17th, 2006 at 10:21 pm
hoping they are in next week :) I hope it is ALL of July, and thru July 20 at least…I think they will hire more people? hopefully….

I feel much better now. Thanks for the info., folks. Our agency reveals ZIP!
:-D

Our agency NEVER shares any news. They post an information sheet every three months or so, containing news one has got to know a long time ago. So thank you everyone for making the news you know public!
July 18th, 2006 at 6:48 am
Our agency sent an email stating the same thing. Moving department by department with no impact on adoptions.
July 18th, 2006 at 7:40 am
I echo the thanks to all those who can share their agency info. Ours never proactivly communicates with us and when we ask them things they always get back to us with very vague and polititical sounding answers. We have no rapport with our agency whatsoever…I wish I had known to ask about this when selecting one. I only asssumed for the money we were paying that speaking with us was part of the “services”.

sooo I’m guessing TA’s for this last group anytime now…?
referrals going out early next week?
anyone else feeling that vibe? :)
July 18th, 2006 at 8:59 am
tgredthread - Do the TA’s usually arrive just before the referral batch? In the past have we received info on this from say Spain when the TA’s have been sent? Thanks!
July 18th, 2006 at 9:57 am
it seems that the TA’s arrive roughly about a week before referrals go out if I’m not mistaken.
?? Usually RQ starts posting about people seeing TA’s coming in…usually from the European countries first. I don’t typically see anything from our agency until a couple of days after.
I just kind of have a feeling we should begin seeing some postings anytime now. :D

Thanks for the info. This helps ease my mind (and set me off in a bit of panic too). We’re LID July 5, 05 and our lives are pretty much in limbo, waiting for this referral. My elder daughter keeps on talking about her Mei Mei like she’s some imaginary friend and I keep on putting off a long weekend.
We’re planning on taking the weekend, hoping those TA’s come in for everyone, to be followed by lots and lots of referrals.
