For those of you with blogs, you’ll understand that it isn’t necessary to take a site down in order to make changes to it. You create your post and when you are ready to publish it, the software makes all of the changes for you. I’m told that most of the software like that the CCAA appears to be using is the same, there is an admin panel you log into to make changes and when you tell it to save or publish, it does.

The site quite often goes down without a change being made. And, there have been times that a change has been made and we didn’t see any downtime on the site. But, since the two so often come at the same time, there is this big excitement that I see anytime it goes down. Maybe we should start keeping some kind of log of when it goes down and when it changes, to try to figure out once and for all if they are taking it down to update it. They really shouldn’t need to, but this is a government agency, isn’t it.

But, back to the subject at hand, I will state once again, that when we are finally done with “the move” this is one subject I’m going to be more than happy to put to rest.
