On top of the other things reported earlier we have:
- One agency reports that they will receive two packages Monday. They aren’t sure, but think that one has TA’s and the other has referrals.
- Another agency also reports that they will receive two packages Monday. They feel that one is probably referrals but won’t speculate about what may be in the other one.
- At least one agency received referrals today.

Holy Moses, one agency received referrals and other’s won’t until Monday. Sounds like things were really messed up at the CCAA last week. I’m so ready to see the new referral pics . . . .

I have been watching the boards like a hawk and an Oklahoma FCC yahoo group has a post of a referral received today. No agency named, no LID listed. I have requested this info.

There is one referral that has been posted on the June DTC group. The baby is from Guangdong and has an August birthday. No LID, no agency named. Someone else also posted on the same group about receiving a TA today.

My agency (medium sized, multi-program) reported today that they are tracking two in-bound packages, due to arrive on Monday and they expect referrals and TA’s.

I also know of someone in OKC that received their referral today. They were using All God’s Children - their little girl is just beautiful!!!!!

At 5:11 p.m. the following was posted on our agencies forum:
“Referrals are coming in. The first one had a LID of 6/29/05, so far that is the only one. It is from an agency in Portland Oregon. Someone also posted a TA. ”
Could this be? I hope and pray that this is true. Bring on October!

Congratulations!!!!! to all the families being brought together at this time. For those still waiting it is soooooo worth it..I promise you that. I know that those words really don’t change anything or make you feel better but know I am praying for you.
Still waiting for TA hoping for next week so that we can go get our son by his 2nd birthday (August 11th).

A bit OT but I enjoyed a wonderful dinner party with friends tonight. One of the guys present was a dear friend. He adopted from Guatemala and received his referral for Will at 5 mos. He got him home at 2.5 years. Can you imagine the heartache in that? I am so happy that China refers not an obscene amount of time before travel. Young Will is just beautiful and I cant imagine waiting TWO YEARS to bring him home. My friend Jeff has much more patience than me…that much is apparent!

cjrcnm, 2 years to wait after referral would be unimaginable.
Friends of mine adopted their son from Ethiopia and waited 14 months to referral and then 6 months to travel.
Other friends adopted their little girl from Taiwan and all up it was a 3 year process with their baby’s referral at 2 months of age and travel to collect her 6 months later when she was 8 months old. Can you imagine missing out on so much of your child’s precious babyhood????
I will be an absolute basket case once I have that little referral photo - my dh reckons he’ll have to sedate me to stop me getting on the very next plane! He’s absolutely right about that ;-)
To all those waiting for referrals and TA’s - I’m hoping both are SOOOOOOOON.

There was just an article in our paper about a family in our town who adopted from Russia. They went over and saw their daughter and came home. Then the travel got all delayed and it took them another year before they could get her. I can’t imagine.
So excited for all the referrals coming in! Saw some TA’s come in and looks like people are traveling really soon!

cjrcnmm - the process is backwards in guatemala as for china (we looked in to both countries, since our agency has great programs in both)…you get your referral very quickly after you send your dossier (my friends got theirs in three weeks)…you do all that waiting from referral to travel, rather than lid to referral. with our agency, you make a trip during the wait to meet your child. i couldn’t do it…i couldn’t imagine leaving my child in the orphanage and going home.
anyways, any referrals at all are good news…any progress is good in my book.
