Does anyone know of anyone with a LID later than the 13th? I know everyone has been agreeing that it really is the 13th as the cutoff, but since CCAA hasn’t changed, I’m just curious (and not yet willing to admit) if they maybe did do past the 13th, even if just by a few days??

One thing i noticed is that the babies in this referral batch seem a bit older than the last batch. I’m not seeing loads of 6-7 month olds like we saw last time. I wonder what accounts for that?

Oh my God! Each baby is more beautiful than the next! I’m sure you all just want to get to your babies and take all those clothes off of them (LOL!) and make them as comfy as possible. Don’t some of them just look so uncomfortable in all those clothes? Oh I am jealous!!!!! Congrats to all of you!

gingergus, I agree that they seem to be a slightly bit older bunch than we’ve had in the past 3 months or so because there aren’t that many 6-month olds , but I’d say that they’re back to the average 10 months old, with some that are older and some that are younger.

Congrats to you that have your pictures!! We still haven’t heard anything else from our agency. We were told that we would get an email with at least some basic info last night and that’s the last we heard. We checked constantly until after 1:00 am but no word. :( I’m a little cranky today but I’ll live. Thanks for sharing your pictures everyone!!!! What gorgeous, sweet little faces!! XOXO

I’ve seen referrals from at least three orphanages in Hunan, including Yongzhou, which was directly implicated in the scandal.
We’ve been seeing referrals from Hunan, and last month we saw referrals from one of the implicated orphanages. This month we see Yongzhou - so it would appear that things are back to normal in Hunan.
I know that there were orphanages outside of Hunan that were also rumored to be implicated, and rumored that adoptions from those orphanages had stopped. I wonder if some of the older referrals we are seeing this time is a result of those orphanages being allowed to finally send paperwork in?

our agency tell that the cut-off was 14 of july from CCAA.
We only have 3 agency in norway, they are all small, like our country.

I know last February the CCAA didn’t update their site until after the referrals were out. I was just wondering if you would happen to remember what the lag time was for the site update after the referrals…

They updated it that night. But I’m still not very concerned that they have’t updated it yet.
I know one agency is saying they are having technical difficulties, but I’m not sure that make sense. They got into it to change the address to the new one, and that happened after it was down for the move, and after it was down for the upgrade. So, they have been back into it after the move AND after the upgrade. So I’m not sure I buy that they can’t get back into it to update it.
I’m guessing it’s just not a priority right now.

Congrats to all the new families!!! We finally received some basic info on our baby! The package will be delivered tomorrow with pictures. Her name is Jia Sha Qi and she was found at the gates of a school in Qichun, Hubei province. She’s in foster care. Her birthday is Oct. 18 so I hope we get to China before then. In April she weighed 14.5 lbs. and is described and being very cute, outgoing, smart, and she sounds like she has a temper! My goodness. Her foster family sounds wonderful!!!! My mind is just racing right now so I need to get my baby fix. I’m off to look at referral pictures. Such cute babies! ((hugs))

I keep having this wishful thinking that the reason the CCAA hasn’t updated their website is because they are going to send more referrals this month…. Now, wouldn’t that be a great thing? What do you think, RQ, does that ever happen???

RQ - about the update to the CCAA web page - my large china only agency who tells us nothing - did say that the reason that the web site hasn’t been updated is because of technical difficulties - although it’s a bit ironic that they know nothing about anything else, refuse to communicate with us except for chatty upbeat newsletters, and irrelevant supposedly weekly updates that say - wow we know nothing, but hey for what its worth they were saying don’t worry about the website it’s a technical glitch.
Oh and they also told me to stop reading the blogs because they were so wrong and would only upset me-of course if it weren’t for you rumor queen I would still know nothing - I also wonder if they understand that given the cyber community those of us with non-communicative - no service adoption agencies, are very interested in those agencies who send e-mails on any topic -even to tell clients they were sorry that they didn’t make the cuttoff - I was so jealous that somebody had an agency who actually cared about how their clients felt about the wait, I certainly don’t get that feeling from mine. Anyway, for what its worth - apparently the web page is allegedly not being updated due to technical problems-

Our agency has been really supportive here in Ky. They have never completely tried to discourage us from listening to the “rumors”, but have only said take into consideration that you can’t always believe a rumor and that they cannot verify it unless they have “concrete evidence”. Our family advocate even seems interested in what rumors are actually out there going around. We have had an unusually long wait, but I think it is due to China and not our agency. They have really been there to talk or whatever we needed and make time for us. They have really taken care of us. Believe me, I have been calling pretty much every day, and they never seem bothered by me and my frustrations. They have seemed genuine in their concern for us and our worries and never made us feel silly about how we feel or downplayed our feelings. I really feel bad for families with unsupportive agencies. I can only imagine how much more agonizing that would be to the situation. Anyway, congratulations to all families getting referrals. These babies are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck on quick TA’s.
