The next referrals, When?
The last six batches have come at 28, 31, 29, 31, 34, and 25 days apart. The least is 25 the most is 34 and the average is a little over 30.
Referrals started arriving this month on 8/24. The soonest we would expect to see them would be September 18th, the latest September 27th and if we follow the average then that would be the 23rd which is a Saturday so we’ll have to say the 25th.
In simple terms that means we can expect referrals between 9/18 and 9/27 with the most likely day being 9/25.
Unless the new way of doing things that put the leaky faucet out of the loop means we will continue to see a shorter referral cycle, in which case it might be closer to 9/18 than 9/25.

Not to get ahead of ourselves as this is speculation based on a sample size of one, but if they did reduce the cycle time to 25 days, that would mean a couple of extra batches per year (14 instead of 12). Which would make the timeline mildly better.

good point canuckdude…that would give the appearance that things were picking up alittle bit. emphasis on ‘give the appearance’. They’d have to still do more days than what they’ve been averaging lately though in order for it to really work out.
i think. ?

I am so amused that we continue to seek out some kind of rhyme or reason to the goings-on within the CCAA.
Never gonna happen…
(seems they pride themselves on that fact)

oh i know. my wife says that as well. but yet she has her moments where she caves in alittle…lol
that being said, shall we vote that in as one of the ‘great mysteries of life’? ‘How does the CCAA truly operate?’.
Personally, since the answer isn’t 42…and we may really never know, I’ll just say I’m glad that they do what they do regardless and leave it at that. (wouldn’t want anyone to think i was being disrespectful and all that) ;)

My little brain insists that I try to impose order on the chaos, even if it’s irrational!
August 31st, 2006 at 8:14 pm
ROTFLOL…..42! *giggle* 42….the answer IS 42. ;) I think it’s time to watch that movie again (or possibly read the book this time).
I’m so far away from a referral that I’m numb…and prepared for a 24-36 month wait at this point. I think sending out referrals every 25 days, giving us 14 batches would be interesting to project out as well. Sounds like something for my Dh who had to create his own spreadsheet for projections.

TG — nice reference to Hitchhiker and I agree . . . would love to know but willing to leave it a mystery.

Hey, looking forward to seeing referrals by the eighteenth gives me something on which to focus, something to look forward to. Sure beats they h#ll out of ,”Who knows when”.

Yeah, sometimes I think they get off on being unpredictable, too.
But, I am sure that if we could get Charlie Eppes from Numbers on the case he’d find a pattern for us in a nice packaged 60 minute process.
And no, you don’t have to remind me that he is a fictional character. I’m well aware of that.
I, too, must try to find some kind of pattern to the chaos.

The possible soonest is September 18th, and I’m having my baby shower on the 16th. I thought for sure I’d have a picture to show off. Oh well, I guess I can’t control everything!!!!

cutiebug94, I’d never dream of putting any kind of limit on what the CCAA can or cannot do. It could come sooner (or later) than my projections, I’m just saying that based on the past six months this is what we can expect.

Come on referrals….July 25 LID
August 31st, 2006 at 9:25 pm
why do i feel like John Crichton wondering what Scorpy will do? CCAA is a total mystery. If I could file an FOIA with them, it’d be all over
August 31st, 2006 at 10:34 pm
I’m new and my head hurts! My heart hurts!!!
RQ give us some happy rumors! Let’s say: “September 18th w/ALL of August!” lol All together now! Optimism… EVERYONE!
August 31st, 2006 at 11:39 pm
okay…so we can’t have AOA (all of august in august) and so we’re not close to doing an AOS (all of september in…)
wait…
oh, that acronym could be interesting…all of september in september…(don’t think too hard…)
such a shame we haven’t got through to september’s LIDs yet…LOL
and before i turn in for the night, yes, I flipped the calendar page from August to September…noticing again that come the morning, Sept 22nd is just 3 weeks away. i should just not look at a calendar for the last part of this wait. ugh. lol

It must be contagious Little Ladybug. I have the same symptoms. I just want out of the freaking review room. I am optimistic that Nov and Dec will come out of the review room at the same time. Optimism…or glutton for punishment?

So grateful for the few little drops.

I am with Canuckdude, I want some order, so I did the math. If they continue with 25 days between referrals it would actually speed things up a bit. With 25 days between referrals they could do referrals 14.6 times a year. Over two years they would get 29 “months” of referrals done in two years. Interesting.
