August 15th??? Maybe????
I posted this morning in the forum that on one of the European boards there is a post that says that tater says (of the next batch) that “it is provable that arrives until day 15.”
I asked for clarification of the translation of this post because I just couldn’t be sure from the machine translation exactly what they were saying.
I’m now told that it looks like tater is saying that it is probable that they could make it to 8/15.
I do not believe this is an absolute. The way it’s worded I’ll give this one an r2 or maybe an r3. Still, it’s an exciting rumor.

RQ – any rumors from Tater about when they will be coming? I’m so hoping this week. Since they have a probable date, does that mean that they could be send soon?
I thought we haven’t been seeing dates until they were in the mail or mailing really soon afterwords.

I’m not sure referrals up to 8/15 would mean completing August in two months. The beginning of August was very light for LIDs, but the end of August looks huge in the RQ polls. I still think we’re looking at a December referral for us if they hit 8/15 this month… But I would LOVE to be proven wrong!

I sure hope this rumor is correct. Our large, China only agency doesn’t have any LIDs between July 28, 2005 and August 23, 2005. So when my agency announces that referrals have arrived they will say that only the July 27, 2005 families received their referrals. There will be no mention that any part of August was referred. That’s a shame for people who aren’t aware of the RQ site. Before I became aware of this site, I asked my agency if there were any agencies that had early August 2005 LIDs and I was told “probably not.” Hmmm….

Okay! A rumor! This would be a lot of days, but I know the stats for August. Hmmmm… I’m going to have to let this one rattle around my brain for a day. It is very exciting to think about, but I too have said WAY too many times “I’ll know more with this next batch”. Just a little guarded this time around.

It is so hard not to get too excited—how do you control your excitement. Isn’t tater the one that is usually almost always right? I can hardly believe it is almost here. Trying to hold back a little to avoid disappointment is almost impossible.

Hmmmmmmmm. What a rumor to ponder…. I hope the lovely spud is correct. That would mean a ton of folks I know would receive referrals. I am still not getting my hopes up. With an Oct. LID it will take forever to get to us.
Hey RQ- Just out of curiosity, are there a ton of LIDS in September? I can’t remember right now… We are early October so that helps a little bit, especially since Oct is soooooo freakin’ huge!!

The way that it’s worded worries me a little. When I read this on RQ’s other thread I took it to mean something different. I like RQ’s take on it much better! I would feel better if one of Tater’s own clarified this for us.

I am back–told you I couldn’t stay away long. I am excited about this rumor, but trying to be “guarded” for my 9 year old son’s sake. He is soooooo ready for his little sister. He has waited patiently since March 2005 when we first began this process and now he is asking and wanting to know “How much longer” Maybe this week I can surprise him with the good news and a picture.

That’s what I found funny. All along I was under the impression that there were no LIDs at all between 07-28-05 and 08-23-05 (because that’s what my agency basically told me). Once I discovered RQ and saw that a lot of people had early August 2005 LIDs, I was quite suprised.

This is great news!! I hope they get through at least that much of Aug! It seems to me that the early rumors from Tatiur are usually correct. I hope the translation is accurate. I am keeping fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes crossed that this is a good one. I hope I can drive to the library today!

A reply in the forum seems to indicate this rumor, or the translation, may not be accurate. I do hope the rumor is true, but I know many people want to be a bit guarded at this point.

Fun Rumor today!! This morning my SW came over to update our HS, as our I-171H expires Dec 28th and being from MI where they can’t get paper processed in less than 3 months, I’ll get the honor of sending in another $545. I’m hoping this rumor is true as I’ll hold off sending in my renewal paperwork and gamble!!!!

You are talking about TWO different agencies. There is not only one large china only agency. Pandaexpress you are with the same agency we have. They did not lie to you. They do not have any LID between 7/27/05 and 8/23/05. After 7/27/05 their next LID is 8/24/05. They would not know about other agencies LID’s. They could only make an assumption about other agencies, which as you said was “probably not”. And, if you look at the polls you will see there are VERY few early Aug LID’s.

Ugh! 9/29 LID and still praying to travel this year. With the one year anniversary coming up, trying not to be depressed. I SOOO want to believe this rumor, but too many let downs recently. Here’s to TATER being correct, and the translation being accurate. I can’t imagine how rushed I would feel if this rumor is correct, but sure would like to feel the RUSH!

Happy Hour, in the Detroit USCIS section of the Forum somebody said the Detroit office is now processing paperwork in 4-6 weeks. Sure hope they keep up that pace, when I submitted my first form last year it took 3 months.

I don’t know the language of the agency but as a foreign language teacher, I can tell you that the word “probable” in the langugae I teach, looks like the verb “to prove” which is what a translator would refer to.
That is not the part that concerns me. It is the “until day 15″ that has been wondering… is it refering to the 15th of the month or fifteen days (on the calendar) which, BTW, would bring us to August 8th.

but yeah there’s that translation thing. is it to the 15th of Aug…is it 15 days (8/6) or would it be 15 business days which would be to 8/12.
ouch my brain.

I translated the post to say “probably reach as far as” the 15th.
We need to keep in mind that this person found this on their December/January message board, and another person responded that this was contradicted on their August/September message board and that it was false. Soooo, I think we still have no idea what the cut-off date is.

To be honest… I don’t really consider this good news! Everybody here knows I am the optimistic one and I will stay that way. But, good news for me would be more like almost all august done or even more… ;)!
To stay in the 14 months range, they have to do august and september real fast. Half the month would mean 16 months of wait soon… Anyway, I’ll wait and see (and keep smiling)! 8)!

I have been trying to talk to my agency (large, china only) for a while about how they tell people who are just signing up that the wait time is 14-16 months or whatever the current lead time is. I think people who are just starting out need all the information, and this site explains it so logically.

Well, I’ve been reading all day at work and I hope everything turns out right. I’ve been writing 8/19 all day instead of 9/18, maybe my brain is trying to get out what my heart hopes—referrals through the 19! I just want some of August, I’ll hope for the 14,15,18 or 19th so long as they finish August in October.

CWS and Cungar, – So sorry I’ve been off for a while…..(had to have a crown fitted on my tooth :-( ) Anyway, My Michigan agency is telling me to hurry up and send in my renewal for my I-171H as I expire Dec 28. They are saying give it 3 months. I’ve been checking elsewhere, and some ‘Lucky” folks are getting it through in Michigan in much less time.. (they need to speed up! They are going through Detroit and they take forever. They used to go through a woman in Sault Ste. Marie, and they were processed SO fast! like 3 weeks! ) My agency is warning me to get it sent in and I’m hoping for a huge batch of referrals where I would feel comfortable believeing that I’m getting my referral in October, if the referrals are slim, My paperwork will be sent in as soon as my husband has yet another medical for this marathon event! I’m concerned enough about $$ to gamble and not pay the $545. I think I’m going to try and get in touch with some at the USCIS in MI.. Probably another act of congress!
Sorry for the long dissertation, but I’m gambling spending another $545 when I’m concerned about paying for the trip!! I guess the worse thing is we have to wait another month to travel, I believe…
Come on US Congress… make the silly I-171H last 24 months for pete’s sake!!!!!

It’s 12:37 pm here in West-Europe and I just read some European boards (OK, I shall not tell which country) where everybody is asking the same question : where o where does the rumor August 15 come from?
Is it really tater it looks like telling this ?
I’m freakin’ out, because my Lid is august,23 and I’m already planning my adoption leave (in my head) for the month of December with a possible referral at the end of October :^)

It is not only anticipating the arrival of our baby from China, but the difficulty of watching our daughter in law and son wait and wait and wait for this reality. I just respect all of you with your acts of faith in this process. these babies will be so lucky to be your child! I am also waiting for a daughter and son in law’s baby boy from Guatemala. My daughter spent 3 days and nights with him….and is in such pain now at the separation and the wait. Bring all of these babies home!!!! That is the prayer!!!!
