Kitkat and Roberta-
When you switched to SN, did you have to pull out of the NSN? For a Waiting Child, we don't pull out of NSN until we accept a WC (and there is no referral with WC). I thought going with WC was the same as switching to SN, but are these two separate processes? Confused.

Kitkat-
I'm confused by your statement about your agency tending to get "SN referrals once every 3 to 4 months." Is there a distinction between SN referrals and chosing from an agency's Waiting Child list? We're thinking about putting in a SN request for our agency's WC list, but there wouldn't be an actual referral in our name (CCAA wouldn't know we're the interested party until we send a Letter Of Intent). Our agency keeps the WC list for 3 months then it takes about a month to get a new list. Is that the 3-4 months you mean? Our agency's list expires at the end of this month so we're hoping for a new one in about a month. I don't know if all agencies are on the same schedule??

KitKat,
Our small agency just received a small batch of SN referrals last week. We too switched from NSN to SN with a LID of 12/7/05. They told us that they did not expect referrals until Dec/Jan also and were surprised to get them, as were we. We are hoping that since Dec. is now officially out of review, that our travel approval will move quickly! (We accepted our referral yeterday!) Good luck to you! Apparently if our agency and yours did not receive them at the same time, then you are correct in assuming they are not all sent at once....??? Hopefull you will be surprised like we were!

We have been logged in for a little over 7 months with the CCAA and went SN one month ago. Our agency told me that they tend to get SN referrals once every 3 to 4 months and I believe they are not looking to get anymore until close to december/January so that is kinda a bummer but only time will tell if our daughter is SN or NSN either way I plan to follow the Lord on this one he knows what will fit best into our family. I am guessing by the previous post that not all agencies receive SN referrals at the same time???? Anyone know this answer????
Thanks

We were in the program as NSN and logged in 12/7/05.

We accepted a SN girl yesterday, and the petition is going over today.

So, Breezy (or anyone) - based on prior tracking, someone who's through review, even if NSN, could get SN TA relatively quickly?

Our agency will be accepting SN requests for their next Waiting Children list at the end of the month (when the current list expires). We were told that it generally takes about a month to get a new WC list so we're hoping that means the end of October. However, they said it took three months to get their last WC list. Wonder if the delay had anything to do with the move?? I'm hoping they'll get the new list sooner than later, that the list will have a match for our request (AYAP girl with congenital heart defect) and that our SN TA will come quickly. Hope this is realistic.

I was really looking forward to traveling as a group and having the comraderie that comes from experiencing Gotcha Day together. I am kind of sad that if we switch to SN, we'll have to travel alone and miss out on that, but maybe we'll be able to meet up with a NSN group from our agency at the White Swan.

We're LID Dec 16 so we're officially out of the review room :)

Is there a confirmed correlation between speed of SN TAs and being out of the review room? Has anyone been out of review and still taken 100+ days?
