yipee! I am hoping that as an early Jan LID, that may mean we’re already done and just waiting for the rest of Jan.

    Yipppee!!

At least that is some progress! Now if only the matching and referrals will pick-up the pace a bit so we can get our referral before we have to renew all the 171 paperwork!

I am fascinated by how far ahead the review room is in front of the matching room. I know it isn’t true but sometimes I hope it means that they like to be prepared if the get an avalanche of paper ready babies.

    Congrats to the December LIDers.

    One month closer.

    Hi,

I´ve heard that on the MarchDTC-list, there are some people being asked for more information from the CCAA. So, as being a MayDTC:er, I hope they soon review May! I´m eager to know that we still fit for China!

    A question for RQ.

Does the amount of time a particular month takes in the review room reflect how many LIDs there are? Have you noticed a trend, a heavy month takes three months in review but a light month takes three weeks kind of thing.

It would make logical sense, but so far not everything the CCAA does makes sense to me. I wonder if there are other factors that may make a light month take a long time.

  20. amygum Says:

Wow that was quick compared to November! I hope this is a good sign!

  21. chinagirl6886 Says:

Great news! Maybe this will be enough to get me out of my slump and actually send in the adoption application, soon! Now come on referrals – make it a big one up through August 15th would be terrific. Even more would be better, but 3 weeks would cause most of us to do the happy dance! Kathryn

  22. wunone16 Says:

I must say as a 12/7/05 LID, I am pleased to see this now all I can hope for is a speed up in referrals. My agency had told me about a week and a half ago that we were out of review and they still believe that wait times will remain in the 12-13 month range. They also strongly believe that we will not have to redo our I-171. Let’s hope their optimistic views are on the money.

  23. waitingforOliviaFL Says:

Yippee!!! I could do a cartwheel right now!!! We are out of review LID 12/14/05!! I FINALLY have SOMETHING exciting to tell my friends and family!!! Whoo, hoo!!!

  24. still_a_waitin Says:

Congratulations to all of the December ’05 LID’s.

Now you can rest assured that any new rules and regulations will not apply to you. I know we all assume that any new rules and regulations will only apply to those not yet LID. However, it’s great to know that you are past review. That should give you some peace of mind!

  25. maranara Says:

yay! congrats to all you december lid’ers! :) here’s hoping for speedy referrals…

Wow! That sounds like good news! The time between november and december was not that long. I know It does not mean anything theorically… but something is telling me that this could be the start of a big speed up! ;)!

  32. 2dogs1cat Says:

I am thinking along the same lines as jj2china – does the length of time a month stays in review coincide with the referrals in any way?

  33. RumorQueen Says:

Logically there will be some correlation – if there are a lot of LID’s then it takes longer to review them as well as match them.

However, since some reviewers could be well ahead of other reviewers, I’m not sure we should put too much into it.

That being said, I’ve been working on an analysis of just that. But, since July is the first month that we are sure of how long it took in the review room, we really haven’t been able to see if there is a correlation yet. When this next batch comes out (or when we know for sure what the next batch will be) I will put together something showing how future months will go based on how long July took and looking out how long other months have taken in the review room. And then we’ll see whether there is a correlation in the coming months.

  37. ragdoll cat Says:

Yea, December LIDers, congratulations on passing, and getting closer to the matching room!

RQ, I look foward to seeing your analyis on the review room correlation time frame. I know Nov. and Dec. were in the review room at the end of May. Also, curious, do agencies know when their agency has passed through the review room?

Again, congrats to December…here’s hoping for a quick Jan., Feb., March…etc….

  38. PJ Mama Says:

That was fast. A sign of a speed-up (eternally the optomist I guess).

  39. Mamman Says:

Does anyone know until what date the CCAA had reviewed before this december date came up? I forgot. And does anyone know for how long that date was there? I mean, when did the other date come up? (Wow… this was REALLY hard to explain ;-) I hope someone understands what I’m asking!)

    RQ-

God bless for all you do for everyone who visits this sight. I am a first time responder but have been an active visitor since May! Could you explain what it means to December LID’s that they are currently out of review? I’ve been told that the review and matching rooms work independently, and a speed up in one doesn’t constitute a speed up in the other. Is this true? And, what would be your best guess for a wait time for a Dec05 LID? Thanks…

  45. AwaitingMaddie Says:

Holy Crap! It doesnt seem that long ago when they had posted that LID thru the end of November was out of Review 1. This is awesome news. I asked my agency (an agency based in the midwest) if anyone had been asked questions from the CCAA for DEC, JAN, or FEB lids, and our coordinator said that they hadnt received any clarification requests for LIDs for those months.
