Sorry I misquoted.

I meant stopping accepting new dossiers, even for a short time. I would hope they would institute quotas first rather than cut off LIDs entirely even for a temporary period.

In 2002/2003 the CCAA had a quota per agency because they received too many dossiers. It turned out that the waiting time after the quota decreased enourmesly. Although it's very frustrating for the people who are at the point of loggin in, I believe at the end it's best for all. What's the use of having your dossier in China and not knowing when to receive a referral, because of the 20000 they already have? Because of the quota back in 2002 we had to wait 9 months before our dossier could be sent to China, but we had our referral within 8 months. In total 17 months. Anyway I don't want to hurt anyone, but I am not complaining if the waittime will be 14-15 months although an earlier referral is always welcome :-)

The rumor is not that they would close IA. Just that they would stop accepting new dossiers for a while. Presumably they would continue with review and referrals and would start accepting dossiers again once they had it down to a manageable level.

I’m thinking the rumour of closing IA (even temporarily) is going to remain a rumour. China prides itself on how stable their program is this would jeopardize that image. I am so happy the roller coaster will end (for this month) on Monday. I am will be chanting AOA, AOA all weekend.

I stand corrected on one point. When referrals leave on Friday they have arrived on Monday.

But, when they leave on a Mon-Wed it's at least two business days.

So, I'm guessing Monday or Tuesday if they were mailed on Friday.

I just deleted a post because someone talked about doing something illegal. Please don't post that you've done something illegal.

I rarely delete posts, but this one was pretty obvious in what they had done.
