I’ve put together an image showing the poll results after a couple of hours.
We knew that August 24th was big, and this poll is showing this as well.
It also appears that September 29th is another monster day. However, the week before and after September 29th appear (so far) to be pretty barren so this day may not be so bad. Poll (c) is just bizarre, you really have to wonder what was going on at the CCAA during this period of time. Then again, maybe it will even itself out as more people register their LID.
I’d like to again point out that you should only register your LID. If you know people who aren’t online do not vote for them. The idea here is to get the people who are online to vote. We won’t get everyone, but we should get a representative sample that will allow us to make assumptions based on percentages.

Well, we know that the week following 9/29 was when the CCAA was closed for their holiday. As for the 10 days prior? Who knows. But wouldn’t it be great if the polls continue to show those days as small? Perhaps all of September could be done in one month (Dec?). Now that would be great since Oct is HUGE!
September 26th, 2006 at 11:02 pm
hmmm interesting.
thinking 8/24 isn’t out of the question for this next match.
the question is, does the CCAA go for a smaller group again or do another 16days or 18days.
this last group was 7/22 to 8/9 which was what…18days? now obviously they’re going off of LIDs/children and not pure days to match. i don’t see why they couldn’t get through the 24th though.
I’ll throw down my speculations (WAGs) this way. if they do a weinie batch they’ll do through the 23rd. If they do a decent batch they do through the 24th. if they pull another “we actually matched kinda far in our world” batch…i say they get to the 29th. (sorry 8/30 and 8/31 no offense)

as my sis would say..October looks “freakishly huge”.
whoa…. (in my Keanu impersonation)
September 26th, 2006 at 11:16 pm
tg - you are really something!
Has the RQ put you on her “payroll” yet?
I must say I return over & over to
’see how you’re doing’!!!
What an amazing couple of days indeed.
How ARE you and the DW?
Nice to know you are “NEXT” - right?
September 26th, 2006 at 11:41 pm
I think the lack of votes in October is VERY accurate. I only remember because I was just starting my paperchase and I can remember that LID took about 6-8 weeks. It was the beginning of a lot of the slow downs we see today still occuring. During this time my agency didn’t see any LID for weeks. Really strange since they send files over every Friday.
September 26th, 2006 at 11:46 pm
Do September plus October averaged together make a “normal” sized month. If so, the projections with days per month would be right on, even if October is a blue whale?
Grasping at those straws and hoping…
LID 10/26 and glad to see this info clearly even if it is not great for those of us in the “back 40″ of October.
September 26th, 2006 at 11:48 pm
sax-
lol ummm no I have not received such an offer…lol
what’s that phrase…”just know i’m easy but not cheap..” LOL
the DW rolls her eyes when i say that.
the DW and I are doing fine…today I mailed our agency all our paperwork and money (gulp) for the re-do on our I-171H oh..and a little organisation known as the USCIS, sent them something and some money as well. *sigh* we still need to get with our SW, but we should get our redone I-171H soon enough.
we’re pretty much over the shock of missing out by one day. now we’re pretty much in the “woohoo we’re next” phase which should soon be followed in a couple of weeks by the “oh my god it’s almost here” phase.
I have to say it was great seeing the new referral pics. that helps alot. seeing those cute little ones and saying “that’s us in a few weeks” did the trick. :)
September 26th, 2006 at 11:58 pm
People have been saying that October looks really big, but in this poll it appears to be a similar size to August - not as bad as I had feared.

Yea, you know that’s right!
Seeing the little faces of those precious kids makes it all worth the wait and the agony of not knowing “WHEN”.
We got our referral this afternoon from our splendid agency (same one as you guys, I am almost certain)
Feel free to take a look at sweet Lucy:

Oh, Sax, your Lucy is gorgeous! What a sweetie.
It’s the best, looking at all the referral photos. We peer, we cry, we laugh. And we wonder.
September 27th, 2006 at 5:18 am
RQ, I’m a first-time poster with a 10/12/05 LID. It’s exciting to finally be able to participate in the poll! I’ve been visiting your site almost daily for the past several months, and I just want to add my voice to the many and thank you for all you do. Congratulations to all the families who just received referrals. We can’t wait until we see the face of our precious Anna Claire!!!
September 27th, 2006 at 7:22 am
RQ - THANK YOU so much for putting this new poll together so quickly!
Saxncin - Congratulations! Lucy is beautiful!!!!
September 27th, 2006 at 7:49 am

Canuckdude-
Keep in mind there are a bunch of folks that don’t come on this forum..(gasp) October is much bigger than August. Evidently, there was a glitch of some sort and very few dossiers were logged in in September. My large agency had 0 dossiers LID that month. We were DTC 9/7/05 and LID 10/10/05. All my agencies dossiers that were DTC in Sept. were LID in Oct. My agency has approx. 100 for Oct. alone.
It looks comparative on the poll, yes, but…. it is bigger. If memory serves me correctly, it is about as big as June was.RQ- please correct me if I am wrong on this one!!
Claire LID 10/10
September 27th, 2006 at 9:07 am
So if very few were LID in September they should be able to do September fairly quickly and begin October sooner. Right?
LID late March
September 27th, 2006 at 9:09 am
Yes, October is bigger than August. We don’t know exactly how much bigger, and as we get more people registering their LID we’ll have a good idea.
This is only a couple of hours into the poll being open, within about a week we should see a more accurate picture, but the early information is interesting.
Ya’ll can help make this more accurate by spreading the word so people will come and register their LID. The more people who “vote” the bigger data set we have.
September 27th, 2006 at 9:27 am
TG - I love your “maybe to August 29th” theory. I know it’s just a theory, and pretty optimistic, but I keep telling myself that if they get a few days past 8/24, with a 9-9 LID I think we could see her face in November. Of course, if they do all of September in December, then we’d travel with the RQ, which does have its own appeal… I’d definitely have to dig out those Thin Mints!
Sax - Lucy is just yummy, eyes full of wonder and deep thoughts. So many beautiful babies as always this month!
September 27th, 2006 at 9:32 am
Goodmorning everyone!
Thanks so very much for all the kind words…
we are so delighted to be rounding the corner into the homestretch of this journey!!!!
Wouldn’t it be fun to have an “RQ-baby Reunion” someday?!
It’s an absolute pleasure to watch all of these dreams unfold.
Thank you so sincerely AGAIN, Rumor Queen!!!!!!
Happy Day -
September 27th, 2006 at 9:46 am
I sent the word out to the Yahoo October group..
September 27th, 2006 at 10:12 am
Would love to know if anyone else in our RQ-family will be headed to Kaili City in the Guizhou Province in November…
WAVE THOSE PURPLE BANDANAS!!!!!!!!!
September 27th, 2006 at 10:21 am
Well, I guess I, FINALLY, have give up on “AoA” (All of August). Now I am switching to OSSU (October Super Speed Up).
The CCAA may not have referred more children, but they did cover more days. And since they only send out complete days it doesn’t mean more days are completed, just that more days just not more in the sequence. I mean, theoretically, they *could* have September 11 (or further) finished and have one sticky dossier holding up September 10.
The review room rumors we hear show that eventhough they may not have completely finished January or February somebody there is looking at March already.
The CCAA releases info in a very linear way but demonstrates that they don’t work that way, internally.
In other words I don’t see any reason that there couldn’t be an OSSU.
Eternally Hopefull!!!!

waiting4Ash…i think i’m going to have to pass the ‘hopeful-and-optimistic’ eternal torch to you! (you know…kinda like that olympic torch thing. very timely wouldn’t you say? hehe) you can carry it into the coming months for that speed up in the process that we’re all hoping for. :)
September 27th, 2006 at 1:29 pm
tg-
you mean when you are home with your baby you won’t be coming here 50 times daily to check rumors?? I can’t imagine what else you will have to do with your time…
: D wfp
September 27th, 2006 at 3:27 pm
lol well, i probably will hop on and off of here still…maybe not the 50 times a day though…lol who knows. :)
September 27th, 2006 at 3:33 pm
I’m really hoping we can start to have conversations about parenting in the forum for those who are home. Maybe I should create a “home with baby” room?
We’ve all shared so much during the wait, I’d like to see us share some of the parenting stuff, too.

saxncin:
Our now 11 year old daughter was born in Kaili in 1995. Our agency has only gone back to Guizhou once since then, as far as I know. We actually received our daughter in Guiyang, which I believe is the capital of Guizhou province. My wife travelled to Kaili to complete some of the paperwork while I took care of our new daughter in Guiyang, and I believe it was a 12 hour bus ride on dirt roads back then. I also believe that the facilities in Kaili were not very modern then. Hopefully Kaili is more accessible, and modern, now. Our 11 year old is going with us to China this time, and we hope to be able to include a visit to Kaili.
Good luck!
September 27th, 2006 at 5:41 pm
emilyandrachelsdad - Thanks for your comments. It does seem as though the Kaili City orphanage is “off the beaten path”. Are you going back there for another adoption soon?
RQ - I think a “Home With Baby” room is such a fabulous idea.
September 27th, 2006 at 7:31 pm
Hi, I am also a first time poster with a 10/21 LID. We were DTC 09/12 but not LID until 10/21 and I have heard of others in this situation from Sept. Our Agency has no LID between Sept 8 and Oct 19th even though they sent groups of files almost every week. So maybe September really is as barren as it seems. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
September 29th, 2006 at 2:33 pm
saxncin:
We would love to go to Kaili for our next child (we are LID 10-20-05), but it seems unlikely since our agency has only traveled there twice in 11 years.
