Poll through Oct 28th
This poll covers daily LID’s from August 10, 2005 through October 28, 2005.
If you have a 2006 Log In Date please do not vote your date in this poll.
I know that many of you are wanting a monthly poll showing all months that are waiting. I don’t believe that polls that far out are very accurate, but I will do one for you when we are through with this poll (probably after the next referrals come out).
Meanwhile, this poll is for those who were logged in last year between August and October.

Ok, how twisted is it that I feel I’ve reached a milestone by making it into a daily poll? (And just barely at that!) I suppose hope springs eternal. As an aside, I had my second China-related dream during the wait for Number 2 the other night, and it took place in a VERY odd dream-world with riverboats and mountains, Jamaicans, red-haired working class Polish folks, all English-speaking Chinese, one instance of someone trying to translate “excuse me” into Chinese and the answer was “Chongqingville” or something like that and an empty roller coaster (I laughed when I wore up about *that*). There was also a buffet, puddles of water adn I kept being separated from my “travel group”. Some imagery, eh? Ya think there’s any stress here? ;o)

RQ, I know this is off the subject. Sorry about that but, we received our referral and have been blessed with a precious 17 month old daughter from Guangdong. The question is, have you heard anymore about weather the stay is at 3 weeks or did it go back to or stay at 2. It would be wonderful if it was still 2 so that we will be able to have some time at home with her before having to go back to work.

Off topic questions can always be put into the forum.
Several agencies are reporting that the stay is now only lengthened by two or three days (so you have the child in your custody a couple of days before you sign the paperwork to adopt them).

Thank you so much for putting a new poll up! I am very curious to see what the numbers are for September and early October. Our small-medium sized agency has five families that received referrals yesterday (LID 7/25) and has four families with LIDs of August 31st. There are no more LIDs at our agency until ours, which is seven families on Oct. 13th. I would love it if September did prove to be small, so that you and the other Sept. LIDs would get referral by end of year, with us right behind. :-)

just a quick question: rq, if you think the outlook looks good for the ccaa to pick up the speed, do you think it will effect the next batch? and also, we are adamant we are getting a Nov. referral… for many different reasons… and you gave me a glimmer of hope stating that it looks good for them to pick it up now. how light is the end of Aug and first of Sept? we celebrate our 1 year LID-versary this Fri! :-)

I very specifically said I did not think they would speed up enough for a stabilization.
I posted the rumors that point to a speed up and then said I’m not counting on things to speed up.
I’m still guessing late September will get a referral in 2007.

As the poll is beginning to display, it seems to be that 24Aug is a biggie… I believe that we have approx. 66 families from my agency w/24Aug LIDS.
RQ – what is the average number of referrals per month?…approx. 1400? I thought I read that somewhere.
Do we know the approx. number of total referrals that were just released in Sept?

Not surprising, 9/29 is showing up large on the poll. I know that my agency has about 50-100 for that day. I assume that is a large number even for my large China-only agency. Am I correct? With that size group, do you think it will be broken up between orphanages? Do you know how large groups have been handled in the past?

that is an excellent question, emilyB. i had the same thought… we are LID 9/29,too. the thing that irks me the most though is we were DTC on 8/24! sure wish we would have made LID before 9/29… but alas, here we are still waiting and it’s completely out of our control! shucks!
we have about 5 or 6 families at our agency with the same LID .. at least that’s what i know of from people telling everyone about it on our board.

I would love to know what happened last fall at ccaa with regards to log in. Certain dates — 9/29, 8/24 seem to be so heavily loaded. Its hard for me to imagine — did they just let all the files stack up and up and then finally log them all in on that day? Why????
I feel your pain about dtc to lid — it took 32 days for me. Heres hoping they do all of September together for you!!

Wow-I am surprised that there are so many LID’s for 9/29. We as well are in this batch, but our DTC was 9/23, so maybe we were one of the last few dossiers thrown into this LID. I imagine we may see referrals get cut short right before 9/29 b/c it seems like it is such a large group. The funny thing is, the 9/29′rs yahoo group is fairly small at this point.

so hopefully with 8/24 and 9/29 being so heavy, perhaps they will zoom thru the rest of Aug in Oct and zoom thru Sept perhaps (?????) covering all of Sept or at least doing 1/2 in Nov and the other half in Dec. but i still want a Nov. referral!!! renewing the 171 is just eating at me right now… inconceivable!!!

I think this is the first time I’ve seen that 9/29 is larger than our small/medium sized agency’s list. I thought the 30-35 LID’s from our agency were the only ones. I guess we’re coming out of the woodwork now. Well at least there’s comfort in numbers, right?
BTW, is there a 9/29/05 only yahoo group or is it the Sept DTC one?
