We got our referral today too, although not until almost 4:00pm and by then I was a mess.
Her name is Chen Sheng Kang. She was born on Dec 29, 2005 and is in Hunan Province. We are THRILLED. Will post pictures soon.

I have a question. Our dear friends are waiting to hear something from their agency. Their LOD 7/26/05. The agency apparently feels that it could be another few days before they find out anything. Our friends live in the Midwest (USA). Any thoughts or comments that would help?
For the record…I am a mother of four and I thought that I had a lot of patience but our friends and all of you have shown me a whole new side of patience. I really admire them and all of you!

Hello everyone – I very happily announce the referral of our TWIN girls from Fuijan. They are 11 mos. old. That is all the info. we have for now.

We got our referral today! Our new little daughter is Xiang Zhi Ning (fragrant iris), soon to be Joey Xiang-Zhi. She will be 2 years old this Thursday the 28th. She is in Guangning SWI, Guangdong Province. We are just ecstatic, the age we requested and such a little cutie!!

She is said to be healthy, beautiful, and has LOTS of hair.

I care about the cut off, I am loking at the ages:
24mos, 14mos, (2) 8mos, (2)9mos, 10mos, 11mos, 6 mos.
a few younger ones than I would have expected from what our agency tells us. I understand that the one 24 mos requested an older child. What are you all hearing on the ages?

Some of the people from our agency received 9 months, 8 months, 7 months, we received 6 months, and I was told that there was actually a baby who is 5 1/2 months. We are all so excited with the news. I cannot wait until tomorrow to read about all the rest of the referrals.

I actually get tears in my eyes looking at the photos,they are so beautiful and can’t wait for more. I have to say yesterday, as exciting as it was for all of those who got referrals, I went into a funk thinking how much longer I have to wait. although Guangzhou is known for it’s rich and diverse cuisine…not sure if I have the stomach for some of what I’ve seen. (oh that rhymed haha). i think nachos are a safe bet.

Long time obsessive reader, first time poster.
The pics of these beautiful babies inspired me to register and to say a huge CONGRATS to everyone who got their referrals!
RQ, I’ve read many people thank you for your efforts and I would like to loudly echo their sentiments. This website is a lifeline for us and with a March 2006 LID we definitely need it.
By the way, you are pretty famous already. My wife (if I call her “Big Mamma”, she’ll hurt me) and I have been to a few China adoptions events (picnic, rah rah fests, etc) and almost everybody we talked to read this site religously. We actually stopped going to these events because it became depressing to be there without a child of your own. But they are going to be great when Emma is finally here, FCCNY is awesome.
Well, we got two dogs and cat to take care of and speaking of which, I’m being yelled at (3 second intervasls) by a big and furry black and white kitty (17 years old and bossy) who needs some wet food…

I’m with you BigDaddy. March 2006 LID and the only place we get any info. is from RQ… Long live the Queen!! Without this site we would feel like we were waiting alone in a very deep, dark hole.

We were matched with our beautiful daughter this morning. She is 11 months old. Her Chinese name is Fu Bao Yuan. She is in the Fuling SWI. We are going to call her Rachel. She is our second daughter from Fuling. Big sister Tara is 5 years old. She came home from China 4/02.
