This rumour is the best one yet. Let's just hope it turns out to be true. For us we were DTC 9/23/05 and LID 10/31/05. It would be the difference of maybe making December versus maybe making February or March.

I can"t believe it could finally be here!! It has been a long and totally unexpected fourteen months. My thanks RQ, for all your hard work, and to everyone else here. I would have been totally in the dark if I had not had this site. I don't post much, but I read a lot and this site has kept me sane. Let's hope they get deep into August - we all deserve a break!
LID 19/08/05

Our agency actually emailed us when our dossier was delivered to the CCAA, so we know our date for that. But does all this mean that CCAA are using 'date of receipt' for referrals? Even though we all currently use the LID to track the dossier's progress through the process? Should we create a new acronym for this date? DOR usually means 'date of referral.' Ideas anyone?

Well, I know this is complete conjecture on this agency's part, but that would be absolutely freakin' cool with me!!
We were DTC 9/7/05 and LID 10/10/05. Yep, we were part of the whole LID snafu last fall.
However, I am still saving $$$ so it would actually help my shopping if it was a little bit further away! ;-) I would love to see my daughter(s) before January at least, but, alas, I am not overly optimistic..

MTdaddy-
I completely understand your "middle child syndrome" on this one. I was pretty peeved about the fact that people DTC after us got September LIDs and we got October.. What the heck happened there?!? I am still not overly fond of the fact that it happened, but it is not these people's faults, it solely lies on whomever logs in dossiers in China. (sigh)

Claire
DTC 9/7/05
LID 10/10/05 (yep, it's been a year and a week now..)

MT Daddy and Neumanium - we are right there with you guys. DTC on 9/9 and LID on 10/21. IF this turns out to be true, it might just be what we need to avoid having to redo our I-600(A)!

MT Daddy - I have visions of our two dossiers being knocked off the desk somehow and accidentally kicked under a file cabinet. I wonder what happened to them? I'm dreaming up some pretty funny theories...

CAT, I TOTALLY agree with you.... could very well be a temporary thing. Only to benefit those that really need the benefit and to positively affect those that do have Oct. LID's.

Neumanium... that made your gap 51 days, right? Ouch.

I was wrong, we don't have y'all beat!

EmilyB... I can understand your hoping for this rumor to be false, but for people with DTC 2 or 3 weeks ahead of you... do you really think it was right that they got an LID 2 to 3 weeks after you?

Yep. I got middle-child syndrome. I just keep thinking, "it's not FAIR." But, so little is... and, i'm okay with that.

I may be the only one that hopes this rumor is not true. I guess I am selfish. My DTC is 9/22/05 and my LID is 9/29/06. Therefore, I a lot of people would push ahead of me. Great for them, bad for me, my DH, and my DD.

Here's hoping this one is wrong...sorry...
