I don't think they could possibly be going to DTC dates. That would be a major change in policy and would be met with a huge backlash for people with upcoming LIDs. Besides the fact that we have conflicting information (which happens almost every month) what would indicate they are going to DTC dates?

I think it is obvious what is going on this time. I bet they have switched gears and are going according to DTC dates rather than LID dates. (Or more accurately the day they signed for the FED EX, etc package) That would explain why we are hearing so many different dates for the cut off.

What we need is for all the people who have been told the cut off is XXX we need to know when that group of dossiers were mailed.

We have two groups of people from our agency whose dossiers went to China 12AUG and 26AUG but both have a 9SEP LID. I have a feeling they will end up being split into two groups at referral.

RQ can we get some data of this. How far are we according to DTC dates. Have we made it to AUGUST if we go by DTC dates?

Good Luck everyone! I am going to bed. I hope that wonderful things happen to all who are waiting ( referrals begin to arrive ), while I sleep!

Having survived the wait, I know what everyone is going through but also know that there is not much I can say to help those still waiting. But I will share a few thoughts starting with the op 3 things people said during my wait that drove me absolutely nuts:

1. Once you have your daughter you will forget all about the wait.

2. Just relax and enjoy your last days/weeks/months before parenthood (and that was from our agency).

3. Your daughter just isnt ready for you yet.

Now I know these do work for some, but even the first one doesn't really hold true for me after the fact. Yes it is hard to imagine having a different daughter than we do now but I don't think it would be wrong to say I still would have rather waited 6 months less even if it meant I had a different daughter today.

I guess what I am saying is I think it is ok to feel frustrated, annoyed, angry even. There is a lot about this process that could be improved with so little effort that would make the wait so much more bearable for everyone.

Hang in there everyone.
