But I will share a few thoughts starting with the op 3 things people said during my wait that drove me absolutely nuts: 1. Once you have your daughter you will forget all about the wait. 2. Just relax and enjoy your last days/weeks/months before parenthood (and that was from our agency). 3. Your daughter just isnt ready for you yet. Now I know these do work for some, but even the first one doesn't really hold true for me after the fact. Yes it is hard to imagine having a different daughter than we do now but I don't think it would be wrong to say I still would have rather waited 6 months less even if it meant I had a different daughter today. I guess what I am saying is I think it is ok to feel frustrated, annoyed, angry even. There is a lot about this process that could be improved with so little effort that would make the wait so much more bearable for everyone. Hang in there everyone.
