Status update
NSN TA’s are arriving at some agencies while other agencies are still waiting.
Two agencies seem to be expecting SN TA’s any day now.
Some agencies expect referrals today, others say the batch is complete but hasn’t been mailed yet.
Not many agencies are giving a cut-off date, most that are, are saying either August 23rd or 24th. The August 28th rumor is looking pretty shaky. There also appears to be an August 26th rumor floating around out there.
Most agencies seem to agree that matches have been made. I truly do not understand what it would hurt for the CCAA to allow us to know the cut-off date. What can possibly be gained by forcing us to wait for the information? I understand the cultural differences, please don’t try to cast this in that light. Wouldn’t it just be common courtesy to let us know information as soon as it is available?

RQ – TOTALLY agree with you – I think that at this time of the month what you just said seems to make me the craziest… what exactly do they have to gain by keeping this such a huge secret??

I don’t understand why they don’t post the cut-off date either…you would think they would do it as soon as they knew…just to get it done. This might have been answered before, but is there a “usual” time frame in relationship to recieving referrals, that the site is updated? Or is there no realationship whatsoever (that is my guess)?

RQ — I agree with you 100%. While it is only a matter of days (or maybe hours…) that we know officially, it is tough on the parents to be with LID dates around the bubble. Issuing the info now would go a long way towards building good will.

Remember everyone, they are giving us a lesson in patience. It will make us all better parents someday. I don’t know about you, but it aint working for me! =)

I just don’t understand if the referrals are done why they haven’t been sent. Our very conservative agency posted that information on Tuesday. Why would they hold them? I’m with you RQ, it seems cruel to make everyone crazy by not announcing the cut-off. If you know it, post it.

Luna-I agree. I have kids, and I have never had my patience tested by them like this. Making us wait like this doesn’t make you a better parent, it just makes you crazy.

The CCAA is just like my Mother (and, yes, we have to call her “mother”). She was forever telling us “we’ll just have to wait and see” even when she already knew the answer….vacations, new puppy, what’s for dinner, etc. My revenge is going to be teaching Hailey Rose the most annoying word for “grandmother” that I can find. Suggestions?
If we’re not in this group, I can live with it….won’t like it, but I can live with it. I just want to KNOW!

I got the strong feeling from my agency that we won’t see anything definite until Monday.
Now, I don’t know about you all, but I can’t wrap my brain around the fact that I have to go through another weekend not knowing.

smalltowngirl, our agency receives them via fax. They have already notified us, NO TA’s today. Hoping for tomorrow for us. YOU may receive yours TODAY!!

Our NSN TA arrived just moments ago!!! We’re leaving on the 16th now instead of the 23rd. We need to kick the packing thing into high gear!!!

We sent our acceptance letter in on 9/26 and our agency confirmed they had them off to China to arrive before they went off on holiday.

Hey Gang,
The rest of our travel group got their TA’s today. All of our acceptances were sent on the 26th. They are waiting on their visa appointments but our agency thinks they will be able to go with us on the 9th!
