And let it dry hanging over the shower curtain rod. Not pretty but.... I was real careful about the items I brought and choose darker colors and patterned shirts that wouldn't show those little smudges (I am a bit of a neat freak), and fabrics that would dry more quickly. I did a lot of layers and everything went together so I could make a lot of combinations. We both took our older socks and undies and then just threw them away before we left China (more room for the good stuff). Two roll on bags for everything with an empty large duffle stuffed in the bottom of one. We could move through those airports pretty slick and not have to worry about our baggage getting lost or messed with. For our return trip we packed all our dirty clothes and soft things into the duffle and checked that. The carry ons held our boughten "treasures". We did laundry in the hotel. Another thought for husbands with good backs...We brought a back pack baby carrier. We loved not having to struggle with a stroller up stairs and over bumpy roads. Plus our daughter was close and at eye level. She loved it.....Just some food for thought.... my 2 cents of BTDT for you packers….We went carry on only.
