Several April people have been asked questions. It would appear that some of April is in the review room
February and March people are still being asked questions, too. So this does not mean that all of April is being reviewed at this time.

Seriously??? We have a LID of Feb. 9/06 and I sincerely thought we were through the review room by now. This is surprising I have to admit…

It is my impression that even if you make it through the review room, you can still be asked questions up until you receive your referral, correct? I thought I read about that somewhere. If so, I find it a bit unsettling, like we are never really through review until we have referral in hand.

hooray for some good news! :)

Hi RQ….question.
Technically, if Dec cleared the review room 9/19, hasn’t Feb been in review since then? The reason I ask is that on the CCAA update link to the right, the days in review seems to reflect only the month about to clear. One might think that if Feb cleared in the next day or two that we only spent about a month in review when we were in the “wings” for awhile?

Wow! I belong to the March DTC yahoo group with 325+ members. So far nobody has posted being asked any questions nor are they aware of anyone else with a March LID being asked either.
I wasn’t even sure we were there yet as it’s surprising nobody we know has been questioned.

I am with a conservative large china only agency and although I myself have not been asked questions the agency states Feb, Mar, and April are in review.
I am assuming they know this because clients are being asked questions but you never know.

patientlywaiting,
I believe that I am with the same agency as you are. I have always noticed that in the past, they usually only show 2 months in the review room at any given time. I thought it was a good sign that they have already gotten to their April families and us Feb & March people were already reviewed. I also have a early March LID. Do you think it’s just wishful thinking on my part?

Wahoo!! It’s encouraging to see something happening with April.

Hello Everyone
I am really happy to hear that April is in the review room. Why is CCAC asking so many questions of everyone? And if someone has been asked questions in the review room can they please share with us what they have been asking about maybe give us a scenerio or example? Im really worried about my dossier and have been loosing alot of sleep over it lately.

I figured at least part of March would be in since Febuary has been in for a few weeks now. I hoped someone must have moved on by now.
I guess I will have to start watching the phone for the area code of our agency.
Worried Mom: there is a whole thread in the forum about what questions get asked in the review room. At the top right click forum, I think it is in the Rumours area.

The questions are usually to do with finances and health. If your agency checked and rechecked your dossier correctly to meet the needs of what China wants to see in your dossier then there shouldn’t be a problem, unless an agency has not adhered strictly to the adoptive parent guidelines as outlined by China. We did a special needs adopition, and China is very particular on this process. Our agency had 3 different people check our dossier before it was sent off to China. I have only heard of one family not receiving a referral after submitting DTC. This is very rare, and happened about 6 years ago. I was told this by a very large China only agency. The reason they shared this with me was because I was extremely concerned about my high blood pressure, and I wanted to make sure that this was not something that the CCAA could reject me for. Of course, the agency did not go into details, and said they went to bat for this family with all they had, but it did not work out for them. Our agency for our SN’s child said that we really needed to be specific with our covering letter from my Cardiologist. He outlined that my condition was not life threatening, and is being treated with great success and that I have had all relevant tests that clear me for any heart problems. Some people who have medical conditions and do have the attached letter from their medical doctor did not have all bases covered in their letters. This happened to someone we know.
The CCAA questioned their dossier. Their agency contacted them, they had to go back to the doctor, and have the doctor re-write the letter to suit their needs, and then the agency fed-exed it off to China. This took about 2 weeks, and did not delay their process. I don’t know of anyone who had their dossier delayed because of questions.
Hope this helps. It is no big deal. However, I am not sure how picky the CCAA is now.
We are just so glad that we got to bring our
ds home in May 2006 before the delays for TA.
