An update, but not the one we wanted
The CCAA put up a New Years Greetings message, but did not change the box.
So we know that they were working, but we don’t know the cut-off, or when (or if) referrals have been sent.
Some agencies are saying the box will continue to be updated until the new Pay for Information system is in place. Other agencies are saying they are done with the box. To my thinking, if they were done with the box they would take the box down. But, as we already know, the CCAA doesn’t exactly think like I do.
I’ll be around some today so, as always, if anyone happens to hear something from your agency please let me know. With the CCAA working this weekend I think it is possible that if there is news that agency personnel may find something out and let their people know.

Hang in there RQ. I know this past week, but have felt really long for all you Sept LIDers. SOB all the way.

I don’t have news…but like all September waitees …just waiting for news!!! - I think it is most likely that the CCAA will update tonight. I came into the waiting game late…but I seem to think/remember that updates are usually released on Sunday nights (China’s Mondays). Eyes and fingers crossed!!

The CCAA is closed Monday, Tuesday, and I’m pretty sure Wednesday, too.
I wouldn’t expect an update at this point until Wednesday night our time at the earliest.

Thanks, RQ. It is so easy to be in the dark when I missed a day or two on the RQ site!! :) So at this point, Thursday is the earliest that we will see a change on the CCAA site, right? And this is then also a record wait to get a CCAA update?!
OH OH OH…I will not miss the intrigue and ups and downs on the never ending emotional rollercoaster!! Here’s to a speedy couple days until referrals come out! 09/13/05
p.s. Love the Tee idea!!

4th hand info: A May 2006 LID (in France) was asked a date related clarifying question. I haven’t seen much hopeful info, and I’m very depressed about all of this inertia, but this sounded like something. The CCAA can’t bottle up all the little drips & drabs . . .

I keep telling myself that I refuse to clean out the baby’s room until I get a referral. It could possibly be laziness, but I like to look at it as stubborn refusal. Instead of stocking up on baby items, I’ve been shopping for a new pony for our 5 year old dd.
To sum up, I have a crib filled with 1st daughter’s stuffed animals and old toys, the boxes for Xmas decorations, the vacuum cleaner, tupperware full of dd’s old clothes, and a dresser in the nursery. I have no rocking chair or bottles or baby toys or a high chair. I have nothing that would allude to the fact that we’re expecting a new baby. But I did just find the most adorable little bay mare pony that I’m having trucked to our farm next week!!
On top of that, instead of ordering those mandarin audio cds, most of the Chinese that I’ve learned…I’ve learned from watching Serenity and Firefly.
I’m in for a woooooooooooorld of hurt here, people. Reality is going to kick my butt when that referall arrives. But until then, I think that I’ll need a new saddle for the pony, cuz mine won’t fit her!

To everyone waiting,
I am sorry that there are no referrals, no cut-off announce, or no solid rumors out there. Like everyone, I was hopeful for news at least by now. This reminds me of that crazy November 2nd batch where we waited and waited (38 days) for referrals.
The good news there, is the longer it took, the more they delivered. So, I am hoping this is a similar month and that they will kick off the new year with more than we are expecting. At least, through Septmeber 30th!! Happy New Year RQ families!

darn. just when you think something went wrong and your post didn’t show………. sorry bout that.

Cheysu,
I smiled when I read your post. The only referral we got this year was a 12 hand line-back dun. We had been looking for a good small horse for our children for over a year. When we found out her name was Ladybug, we knew she was just the one for us, and she is! The saddle came for Christmas. Out of a yucky and hard year of waiting, she still makes me smile.
Hoping I can keep smiling for another year!

WOO HOO for the May 2006 LID being questioned…not that they have to deal with the question, but that May 2006 is actually being reviewed for some agencies–I so much want to get the review room over with. LID 06/05/06

Unfortunately I don’t think most agencies will be telling their clients anything until at least Tuesday since Monday is a holiday.
I still can’t help but hope that if any agency employees know that packages are on their way (we hope!), they can find out what’s in them and share the info, though! Please??

Okay… two ladybugs on my bathroom window earlier. TWO. Doesn’t that count for SOMETHING??????
No rumors on the Spain boards??
Waiting… waiting… waiting…
This waiting is REALLY getting to me and now I’m COMPLETELY doubting that we’ll even hear something this week at all!! I feel like CCAA is playing a game with us all like “Yea, you can talk about rumors, but WE hold the grand prize”.
Sigh.

Darn it, I’m having some serious posting issues today… sigh.
Is your pony a fjord cross? I’ve seen a lot of line back duns that are out of fjords somewhere down the line. (no pun intended)
Our new pony is 14 hands, a little bigger than I wanted, but she is dead quiet, very sweet, and perfectly trained. DD can get her to walk and trot over ground poles and bridges all by herself, which is a feat for a 5 year old’s little legs. You’ll have to send me pics of your kids on your new pony!
December 31st, 2006 at 5:43 pm
Cheysu,
I am not familiar with the fjord breed. Someone did mention that she looked like a Finnish breed of horse. Maybe this is the same thing? I’m glad you found a good pony. I know how hard that can be. We had a wonderful (ancient) small pony that my kids could ride independently at 3 + 5 years of age. He died several years ago, and we were never able to find another like him.
I hope your DD enjoys her new friend.
It sounds like you are going to be one busy lady soon if you are expecting a referral. Congrats!
