Europe Referrals

Referrals are arriving in Europe. One agency appears to be confirming that they received them through September 27th. That doesn’t have to mean the 27th is the cut-off, it may just mean that this agency had LID’s through the 27th and that they are included.

The last I heard, American and Canadian agencies weren’t expecting them until tomorrow. But with them showing up in Europe?

Just sign me off as being on pins and needles.

I’m so excited, I don’t know how I’ll get through work today. I just e-mailed my agency to let them know they can be arriving at any time. We are under the umbrella of a larger agency, so I hear what’s going on before my agency. Thank God for RQ!!!!!!! I’d be so in the dark with you and this group!!!!!

My Zoey is on her way and I’m going to be a Mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow what a way to start the day! I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of Sept. and I can not believe we are finally going to see our daughter.
RQ, I was just wondering if the US usually gets referrals on the same day as Europe, or does that vary from month to month? I am sorry You would think after watching referrals come in for over 15 months now I would know, but it seems that all previous memory has suddenly been lost to me and I can barley remember how to type.

    THIS IS IT!! 9/12 LID

RQ I totally understand you want to maintain your privacy but will you tell us when you get your referral? Or at least include it in the list of babies without telling us its yours? Please?
Can’t wait to hear about the new families and see those beautiful babies – in tears just thinking about it! What a lovely start to 2007, congratulations to all – please post links ASAP, waiting to share your joy in Wales,

  15. RumorQueen Says:

Sometimes the U.S. referrals happen on the same day (just later).
Sometimes the U.S. is a day before Europe.
And sometimes Europe is a day ahead of the U.S.

I don’t know if that has to do with when they are mailed, or with how the courier routes them.

  16. sarahjane Says:

Let us hope the arrival of referrals is today! I sure hope to hear that Feb. is out of the review room soon. I can only imagine their anguish. Here’s to SOB.
Will look when I get home tonight for some good news.

  23. janey1245 Says:

    Here is hoping….

Oh, and if they refer thru the 29th that will be 21 days of referrals. Isn’t that an increase.
Even taking it to the 27th seems to be a bit of an increase. If we could get at least 21 days each month that would give us a tad of a decrease in wait times over time.

    RQ..does this make sense?

I HOPE WE SEE YOUR REFERRAL PHOTO THIS WEEK!

  24. waitingfornaomi Says:

My first post didn’t show up, so I’ll try again :) Thank you Lord!! The first thing I did this morning, of course, is check RQ. What a great way to wake up, referrals arriving!! And better yet we’re in!!! I already called DH at work, my cousin, my sister, and was trying to think who else I could call that early in the morning!! I will definatly be next to the phone today. I am so excited to see this news this a.m.! I guess I should say I’m excited for all of you that are about to see your babies’ sweet faces for the very first time!

  26. marythefifth Says:

Janey, if you look at the poll #s, the 27th would represent a significant decrease in the total number of matches compared to last month, rather than an increase. I think most of us theorize that it is # of matches rather than calendar days that is the best predictor of the CCAA’s pace. Of course, this would really be the month to test that theory! Getting through the 29th would be more consistent with what they have been doing the last couple batches. Time will tell…and hopefully not too much time!

As a 9/29er I am so anxious to find out if we are included or not! I was thrilled to see the 27th made it. So happy for all of you!!! With the 29th being such a big day, I am afraid to hope we will be included and then be disappointed (again). I’m sure so many can relate to that. Wish I knew what the chances were of being included 50/50 40/60, etc? If we are being matched this round, I would really just love to enjoy this special time without the stress of “what if”.

    mnmommy –

I am telling people we’re the next batch. (we’re also 10/10.) I think even if they don’t complete all of sept but get close, to 28th or 29th, we should be good for jan… esp given there are no LIDs for Oct 1-7. so, for example, we’d just have sept 29, 30, oct 8,9,and then us – reasonable for one batch. However, I am still totally hoping for all of SEPT, as we all are!!!!!!

  47. sophie_mom Says:

Ok, I told myself last week that I was NOT going to get my hopes up this time around. But with a 09/29/05 LID and hearing that they’ve matched at least through 09/27/05, I’m officially excited. If we’re not in this batch, I will be devastated even though we’d definately be in the next batch.

    09/29/05

  48. RumorQueen Says:

I’m not ready to make that assumption yet. They have updated it after they arrived at least twice.

Some agencies say the CCAA site will continue to be updated until the new Pay for Information system is in place. Other agencies say they are done with the box.

The CCAA will not be back to work until Thursday, so I would assume it will not be changed before Wednesday evening in the U.S. If it is going to be changed.

    As a 09/29er I’m freaking out!!!

I’ll never forget when we got the referral call for Kylie. I was at work that day and knew I’d be getting the call, so I had the list of questions in front of me. Every time my phone rang my heart raced, but then it would end up being a customer (how I wish my work phone had caller i.d.!). Our agency is in Colorado and I’m in Ohio so I had no clue what time they would call. Finally at 2:21 pm I got the call and my life was forever changed.

In 2001, I was in the dentist chair while the voicemail was being left at home for my referral of dd1.

When I got home, I flipped out!!! I called the agency and I couldn’t even speak once she told me she was holding a picture of my daughter. I had the list of questions, I knew what to ask, I had planned it all so well, however, at that exact moment, I totally fell apart. I was blubbering like an idiot (a happy idiot, but an idiot nonetheless!) LOL I could barely put two words together! It was an incredible experience and one I’ll remember for the rest of my life!

Will I be better prepared for #2? Nah, it will be just as wonderful, or moreso, as I get to share it with #1.

But, anyway, I am now doubtful that I will hear anything today from my agency.

  78. DragonMom Says:

Our agency’s update says “no matches have been made yet, we expect that CCAA will undertake matching when they return from break”.

Good thing RQ has the straight info!

  79. Number Cruncher Says:

If the cut-off date of Sept 27 is correct, then this is great news as far as a speed-up goes. In the 33 days since the last batch of referrals, CCAA cleared off 19 days woth of LID’s. Thats a ratio of 1.737 calendar days per LID, down from 2.3 a few months ago. And the moving average of the last five months has decreased for the 7th month in a row, to 2.111.

So everyone who was counting the days and then multiplying by 2.3 can now multiply by 1.737 instead. For our LID of February 7/06, the speed-up from 2.3 to 1.737 means late July/07 rather than mid-November/07 for a referral.

I’m from the Netherlands. Our agency received referrals with a LID 12 and 19 september 2005 and 30 SN referrals . I must say they don’t have more LID in september!!!

  83. willowflower Says:

    numbercruncher,

It is the number of referrals in a batch that count not really the number of days. If they only got to 9/27 this time around, they aren’t keeping pace with the previous months.

  84. wait4hannah Says:

    RQ –

Is numercruncher’s math right? Will it be that much of an increase or decrease like willowflower said?

I hope you are right numercruncher :)

    LID 12/20/05

  85. RumorQueen Says:

Just for the record, NumberCruncher’s math doesn’t jive with mine.

Also, I would not advise doing a re-average until they hit the mid-November dates, since the end of September was a “small” period, and the first week of October has nothing at all.

And besides, my average from the other day took into account that they would get to 9/29. So this doesn’t change my previous 2.3 multiplier.
