Exciting Rumor
I have rumors from a fairly reputable source and a source without a track record that referrals have been mailed. One more source on this that has a good track record and I’ll be prepared to give this one an R4.
It’s looking very good for the 14th.
For those not familiar with the ratings system, there is a link in the top right sidebar that will explain them. These are still R3’s at this point, not a sure thing.

I am so excited that I can’t focus on anything else!!! I am a high school teacher, so being focused is a must!! :-)So, help me out…If they have been mailed, what is the normal course of action after this? Does it mean that they have just been mailed to our agencies and that we now wait for a call from our agency? I never really learned what happens next…It has taken so long that I guess that I felt that the referral may never come. I’m with {agency name edited out by RQ} so if anyone knows, please share.

That’s the best news I’ve heard!!! My kids all have a snow day, so I was planning on a busy day with lots of noise. I don’t even care now that it will be busy. I would love to be able get some news with her brothers around!!! Here’s hoping for a R4 rumor filled day!!

Great news! Did any of the sources mention “when” they were mailed? Do they usually arrive in Europe first? After all this time, I can’t believe I can’t recall who usually gets them first. Major case of baby brain!

Wonderful news!!! Getting to October 14th exceeds my expectations. If this is true, there will be a lot of happy October and November 2005 LID!!! Exciting. Here’s hoping for this amount of LID’s. Congratulations to everyone receiving their referrals (especially those with a September 29th LID!!!).

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!! Its getting closer! The storks a flyin’ !!!!!!! I thought today would be the day, so I take it to mean it looks like sometime later this week. prolly, Thurs?????? please??? wow, two years and its down to hours or days now…how exciting. Hey Lucky22anme…take it easy on those greys! As one waiting gram to another, take my advice and hit the bottle (hair color, that is) This wait is challenging on everyone…I envy that your grandchild is coming so much sooner than mine.
Our own adoption was so much less stressful than this one. But that was over 9 years ago. Our, now 12 year old daughter played in her first middle school basketball game last night, and even tho’ they lost, she got to play half the game and scored her first game points ever.(3) We were thrilled! She, and her brother have added so much fun to our lives, and we are sure their neice or nephew will be worth the wait when she or he finally gets here! Oh, but waiting is so difficult, isn’t it?

No, my agency hasn’t confirmed. I meant anyone else besides what RQ had mentioned. I wondered if anyone had called their agency this morning because if some agencies know, maybe several do and that might be a quick way to confirm it. I’ll let you know what I hear anything from my agency.

Thanx for great advice, GrammaG!!!Will do the shoe polish (hair dye) thingy. LOL With all the wait and worry greys are popping like daffodils. Was worried I would turn TOTALLY grey before baby gets here with all this suspense. Belated CONGRATS on your lovely, talented daughter, I am sure she is a special light of your life and she sounds like a future basketball star, keep encouraging her to go for her dreams! She CAN do it! And much happiness with her future niece or nephew. He/she will definitely be worth their wait (in GOLD), to her and your whole family. The wait is at times unbearable and seems surreal but time marches on and eventually it happens and WOO HOO! its worth it. Hang in there,and dont forget the hair dye if you need it from all the worrying and waiting!!!!!

Ok, I just talked with someone in the Child Match dept at my large, China-only agency. She said that the “hoped” that referrals would be mailed by the end of this month but hasn’t heard anything.
I’m not too worried at this point. My agency is super-conservative.

We’re almost there! OH MY it’s been such a loooong wait… and we’re down to just a couple of days!!! I already warned my boss that I probably won’t be in on Thursday! Last month when we thought we might be in, DH and I both went to “work” in the moning and left early to receive the call (that never came in…) and it was such a waste of a morning… neither one of us got any work done, so I’m not trying to fool myself this time… I’m just going to stay home! :-)

Thanks for all you do to keep us sane. This has been so long with so many dissapointments. To avoid going over the deep end we have had to put our emotions on auto pilot. I know this sounds good, but until I see 4R’s or we hear from Europe that they have been sent and the cut off date, I can’t really let myself go. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE LET IT BE SO!
BTW, assuming they have been mailed, do you have a guess on when they will be arriving in Europe and then the US.

What a hoot that your monthly wine club shipment arrived today!!!
I could’ve used a glass around 3 a.m. when I woke up, completely wide awake, after going to bed right before midnight. I’m SO wired that I could probably use a glass right now!! (And so tired after getting 3 hours of not solid sleep that it would probably only take 1 glass to put me right out!! )

Last batch of referrals, European referrals arriving and west coast US making referral calls were entries posted the same day. So, hopefully if we hear in the am that European referrals have arrived, US referrals will arrive the same day.

I was getting re-fingerprinted this morning and came back to great rumors news! I have an LID of 10/27/05, and like so many of you late October LIDs know, this next match will let us know our chances of being next. I can’t believe that we could be next. Come on matches! Granolagirl, how I wish I COULD make something happen! I’m trying hard not to believe that our agency has not heard anything about referrals being mailed…but with each hour I get less optimistic. I remember how last month there was a rumor that us 9/29ers were included…and we weren’t. Ugh. I don’t want to revisit that ugly place.

I could have sworn recently (within the last two referrals batches) someone made a comment that when their agency reported to their clients CCAA was matching, it really meant the referrals had been mailed.
At the time I put that info in the back of my head and now I wonder if that was my agency. If that’s the case, I suspect we will see referrals tomorrow. But that’s my WAG :)
How long to referrals take to travel? I think CCAA uses DHL, right? I’m guesstimating two days, but I don’t know for sure.

I know what you mean Erica! We were “in” last month according to the LID cut off date, but due to a CCAA request back in Apr 06, we went back into the wait mode!

WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!! I am sooooo excited!!!! I cannot belive they may be in the mail. That means we may hear from Europe by tomorrow maybe. THat would be so cool. Last month it was Europe and then us in the west coast were the next to hear. Lets pray this is true. I cannot imagine being that close. I know we are probably not in this batch with our 10-17-05 LID but I am not totally giving up hope. There is still a tiny bit of butterflies in my stomach at the thought that we could be included, but I doubt it. BUT— that means that we will for sure be NEXT!!!!! WOW!!! I cannot imagine being next. This will be a long but exciting month and what peace knowing it will happen– not what if!!

I am just so thankful and excited that we are even talking about seeing October referrals. Wow! It actually is happening. Im in shock. I haven’t let myself to even think about getting ready for Jaden. Maybe now I can. Praying that we will all hear something tomorrow. Isn’t it amazing that just a rummor gives us hope and peace. Just imagine what the real thing will do for us. Thanks for letting me vent.

No problem. I was wondering timelines as well. I just wish we would hear a definate that they were mailed and that they were mailed on Mon. not today. That way maybe we will still see our babies’ faces this week. Ugh….this is impossible!

She will also have a 2nd middle name…her Chinese name.

ROTFL - ummm, sorry, but my crystal ball is in the shop right now.
Seriously - you can look through some of the analysis and get a rough idea of the possibilities, but no one knows for sure.
I seriously doubt 10/27 will be in this group. As I’ve stated in recent posts, it’s looking very good for the 11th, and pretty good for the 14th. Oh, and the 17th doesn’t look so good.

I assume you were kidding, but maybe not.
My agency “predicts” February though my magic 8-ball says March. Frankly, I think we have a better chance of predicting the weather for say, July 29, 2007, than exactly when we we get our referral. (RQ’s fabulous predictions and analysis notwithstanding.)
