Not much moreSo far we just have a couple of sources saying they have been mailed, but a few other agencies have told their people that they have a package on the way to them that they hope is referrals. It would appear that, if these are referrals, they should arrive Thursday. Ya’ll just don’t know how bad I want to give this one an R4. We’ll call it a three and a half.

Doesn’t Spain usually receive their referrals first? Have you heard anything from them?

Europe is six to eight hours ahead of the East Coast, so they usually get their referrals earlier in the day than we do.
Not all countries and agencies in Europe call their people right away though, so we don’t hear from all of Europe, just a few here and there.

Thursday is perfect! Three years ago, on Feb 1st, our incredible daughter from Fuzhou, Jiangxi joined our family. Hopefully, we will have lots to celebrate!

Any updates you have are really appreciated. I have watched others be at this stage (and loved it) but it is SO fun to be an actual part the waiting bunch. Thursday would be good. I can shop over the weekend!

For what it’s worth, when I asked my case worker if she knew something and she’s just not divulging I got NO REPLY! To me that says a lot without saying anything…. Like I said, it’s just a hint to me but enough that I am so excited I think I might do something crazy… like skip American Idol tonight for RQ… HA only kidding!!! :-)~
(oh yeh, and when I told her I would be en route to our vacation spot on thurs morning, she replied with “keep your cell phone on and pad ready!”) oooooh yeh!

I would be so happy with a Feb 1 referral. We lost our oldest son 7 years ago on that day, he was 8 years old. It would be nice to make some good memories on that day. He liked babies and I know he would have loved having a baby sister.

This is the best news I have heard in a long time. I called our agency and e-mailed but no response to date. DH and I are leaving for a business trip to Tampa tomorrow AM. Would rather be home waiting, plus it looks a little to chilly for Fla. Another sleepless night….

I can’t wait any longer!!! After being set back b/c of questioning in the review room this is killer. My Agency said we would get ours “Before” the next batch and Not With it. How is that going to happen? As I am writing this DH just asked “Any news about my daughter?”

On one of my listservs, another waiting Mom and myself were discussing your impending referral. (My personal guess is your LID is 9/29/05, not that I expect you to confirm. I also have a bunch of other guesses about where you live and what color your hair is, etc. but that is neither here nor there.) Anyhow, OTOH, we were totally selfish about how are we going to get info while you’re away and busy with the new addition to your family? OTOH, it made us sad to think that to protect your anonymity, you won’t be able to share your photo(s) with your loyal subjects. We are hoping you have a private website you can use to share your joyful info with your close family and friends. Is this the case? After all your incredibly hard work and generousity, it just seems cruel not to be able to spread the word and pictures among those you know best. Or, are you going to be sneaky and just list your referral blogspot with all the others without proper attribution? Hmmmm, I wonder….

I hope Feb. 1st is your day. I am sure your precious son is looking down to make sure that day will be special. I am hoping for a March 4th referral because that would have been my Dad’s birthday. He died 5 years ago. The last time I was with my Dad on the night he died after battling lung cancer, I asked him to send me a baby. 6 months later I became pregnant with my daughter after 7 years of fertility treatments. I know he played a big part in getting her here, and I know he is involved with my 2nd baby. I wish you all the best!

Jmlance—I have a friend who is VERY good at that “I have a secret I can’t tell but if you ASK me enough questions you may be able to find it out.” Sounds like what you did and what ALL of our agencies are doing to us!! If only we could see their cheesy a@@ grins over the phone as we are totally clueless but grasping for straws–I bet they are peeing their pants with excitement too!
Oh yeah we JUST got back in the door from swimming—it did help! See a new rumor was posted!

Love the nursery. I caught a glimpse of a chandelier. It looked pretty and we are thinking of one for Mia’s room. Where did you get it?
I need more rumors at this point!!!! I keep checking back and forth and nothing and it is driving me crazy!!!!

You know what I just realized– We are 10-17 and I have been thinking that we are far from being included in this batch if they are only getting to 10-14. That we would have a bunch of days to get through to get to us until I just looked at the poll that is up and what I did not realize was that 10-14 is a Friday and then the 15th and 16th are weekend and then we, the 17th are a MONDAY!!!! So really, if they only went one more day then we would be included. That is a lot more close than I was thinking– WOW!! I think CCAA could pull out one more day– dont you???? If not then we would have missed it by only one day– uggg!!! But im ok with it if it happens (OK I keep telling myself that but I really am not- UGG!!)

We hear news of referrals quite early here in Ireland, I will post immediately if w hear anything, I can feel your excitement, R.Q. I love this time of the month!!!
Just wondered if you read my recent post regarding NEW RULES for China? The Irish Adoption Board are interpreting the rules as all dossiers in China on May 1st will go under the new rules. I read the original letter from CCAA, would anyone have the clarification on this point? I am just about to send our dossier and I am worried, Many thanks, this would put us in the other category if true.

Hi I am new to this site. I have to be honest and say that I didn’t know it existed until just a few months ago. Even though we adopted before, I just go the web site address recently and have been addicted ever since.
We are LID Oct 17th and I can’t stand the long drawn out wait. I emailed my agencey and they said that they haven’t heard anything yet but suspects that we will be in the NEXT batch. I was not happy to hear that.
Christy , I never thought about it , but you’re right, if they just did one more day, we would have been included. Here’s to hoping!!!
In case I didn’t say, we live in NOva Scotia Canada.

Christy, Land of Nod has two cute chandeliers (www. landofnod. com- without the spaces). One is pink and green and one is green and yellow. I’m thinking of getting the pink and green one, but since we’re at least 6 months from a referral, I have time to check antique shops too.
Congrats on being closer than you thought! I hope you make it this time. However, it must be comforting to know that even if you are missed by one day (I pray not!) that you don’t have to keep saying, “We MIGHT be next” for the next month :)

I was at work today with no internet. I was going crazy. My husband did call to give me the rumor that referrals have been mailed… please oh please let this be true. My good friend is coming home Thursday with her son from Guetamala and I would love to take our referral photo to the airport. I have wanted to cry all day… cry for happiness of course. I cannot believe we are so close to knowing our daughter. It is like a wonderful dream actually coming true.

October families are probably only 48 hours, give or take, from seeing YOUR BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just think…all this waiting waiting waiting waiting and questions and drama and let downs and frustration and anger and sadness…is about to come to a HAPPY ENDING!!!!

I can’t find the chart RQ made stating what would be best and worse case for referred dates. I am so hoping that this time we get to the best case date! With a LID of 08/29/06 I know I have a long way to go, but I can be excited for all of you that are so close, and have hope for a speed up for the rest of us!
If someone could point me in the right direction to that chart so I can get on with getting my hopes up :-)

Thanks to everyone for your sweet words. The Nursery was mostly done over a year ago now. How time flies….NOT.
Christy. I got the chandelier at a garage sale about 6 yrs ago when we lived in Houston. I paid 20.00 for it. Didn’t use all the crystals that it has. I covered plain shades in the fabric. Saved it for a special place!
My thoughts are with everyone here. I love this support and best wishes for tons of Referrals for us all.

Thanks for all the high hopes with regards to 10-17 being in. I pray we will be in!! I just pray they go beyond the 17th!! That would be AMAZING!!!!
RQ, you mentioned in a comment on the last thread that it is not looking good for 10-17ers. Is that comment based on the info from last week or is there new info you are basing that on? Any info would be good as I am still holding onto a thread of hope :)

Here I sit, checking the RQ site for the 3rd time this morning (I am an American living in Germany), like there would be updates already. It is so hard to wait for the next few hours until the rest of Europe is up and at work to see if refrrals arrived!
Even so, if the European agencies get theirs today, it will still be tomorrow evening our time before my agency in the states gets mine. If referrals are in today, the next 36 hours are going to be LOOOONNNGGGG!!

I am a first time poster. I am single in Australia and 7.16pm Wednesday night and have been checking the site since 6am this morning - yes addicted! I have a 10/12 LID so hoping that the 10/14 is true as on 4/1/07 this will have been a 5 year journey for me so you could say I am ready!!

I woke up this morning certain that RQ would have a new posting. My hopes are deflating that we get our referral call this week. My agency takes a day to translate before calling, so if they receive referrals on Friday, we don’t get a call until Monday! I know, it’s just a few more days, but this is borderline torture.

Thanks for your vote of confindence. Where are you living?I live in Dartmouth. You aren’t going to be long after us as your LID is 11/30/05.
When our file was registerd,CCAA was giving out referrals within 6 months, so we thought we would have been there and back with our little one last June. And here we wait, and will probably NOT head over until almost June. I can’t believe it!!! I only took 1 year from registration to referral of our first daughter. I really thought for sure that this was it for us—-but now I am pretty sure we will have to wait yet another month (or more, who knows).
I just really would like to know why it is taking so long to process these things??? I don’t mean to sound so negative as I am in the next batch, but it’s so hard not to be upset when you’re on the cusp of cut off.
Are you on any of the yahoo sites for Canadians??
