With a LID of 3/1/06 we feel very relieved! Still a long way to go but at least it’s something to celebrate. :-D Congratulations to all who received their referral I love seeing the beautiful pictures.

We are LID 12/14 and the fact that we are almost half way through October sends shivers up my spine. I know that it could take a while to get through the next 2 months, but it is only 61 days now. Wow. Back in May when I first started following the rumor queen, it was over 3 times that. And now LIDs March and even April 2006 are starting to feel finally part of the process, when 6 months ago getting through review was a distant dream for them. Time marches slowly but it does march. It helps to be reminded of that. I am thrilled for all the parents rewarded for their patience in this last matching round.

Our LID is 10/25. Any speculation as to what CCAA will do w/ respect to the new year? Some say they’ll send before the new year, some say after. With only two weeks to process this month, do we have a shot for mid March? I forget the ID but someone had replied to us that they had a LID of 10/29 and their agency said by mid march they should get their referal.
Any ideas? Comments? Being so close (12 days) is scary, CCAA could (I guess) only do a few days this month and then have a bigger month at end of march early April… which would stink.
Anxious to hear what anyone out there has to say about the matter. Thanx

Maybe this has been addressed, but what I don’t understand is that if the slow down is due to fewer babies then why is the review process so slow?

I meant to say some of March – out of Review.
MomtoGeorgia~ usually the date that is posted is the day they have finished – so if your LID is 3/22 than you should be through the Review Room. I would check with your agency to see what they think.

Hi! I’m new here so please forgive me if I don’t do this exactly right. I just got an e-mail from my agency SW and she said that 10/15 LID’s were included in this referral batch! So, the CCAA website isn’t exactly accurate. Has anyone else heard of someone from 10/14 or 10/15 getting a referral?

It was nice to see that many of the babies were referred from different provinces this time: Sichuan, Guangdong, Jiangixi, Anhui, Hunan and I think a few others…. does this referral batch seem larger than last months RQ?

Woohoo! Finally out of review! Now I can stop having nightmares about our dossier lying on table under the hot lights surrounded by a pack of perplexed people thinking: “…and these people want to adopt…?”
How many others out there had the secret fear that their dossier was holding up the works, or am I just crazy?

Wow! We are LID 3/3 and I was thrilled to see we are through review. I was so anxious last month when February hadn’t made it out. I had to keep hitting refresh on the CCAA’s website to make sure I was reading it correctly! Thank you CCAA!! Even though we got no sleep last night due to those tornados, we are going to celebrate tonight!

Actually, our LID is 4/11/06 — a long way off yet (but possibly in review now?) Our SW sends out a general e-mail to all of her clients whenever she gets word of any referrals, to keep us all appraised of the progress. I suppose she could have typed the wrong date. Boy, that would be a bummer for anyone with the 14th and 15th. For their sakes I hope she’s right!

Oh dear. Maybe she had the LID wrong, and your agency had referrals for the 13th (rather than the 14th or 15th)….. cause that would really hurt (to be told you are having a referral and then…..)…. I know its a mistake, but ouch!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS! to all of the new families and their beautiful babies. I was a sobbing mess yesterday watching all the excitement here on the Rumour Queen website. With us possibly being next…I don’t know what I am going to do. I have a feeling we are going to be one of those people on the cusp for next month. Keeping our fingers crossed for a March referral! With a LID of 3/29/6 I think we’ll have to wait quite some time to be sure that we made it through the review room. I’m bummed that they just posted Februari and the first 3 weeks of March…..why not just 1 week more? And it has allways been complete months before…..

If you look at the CCAA Updates & Referrals page (link in upper right-hand corner of this page), you can see that the early 2006 referrals were received 1/02, 1/25, 2/27, 3/27. CNY began January 29 last year, and there were 33 days between referrals in late January and late February. It doesn’t look to me like the 1/25 batch represented the fabled “extra batch.” Notice that they “reset” their calendar after that so referrals were arriving at the end on the month rather than the beginning. They seem to do this “reset” thing periodically, but it’s most likely due to the availability of paper-ready babies.
Check out the other areas of this site. There is some great info there, and for the time RQ is busy with her adoption, it will be great to have a handle on what she has made available to us. I think the greatest compliment we could pay her would be to know how to use the tools she has given us over these many months.

There ARE fewer babies being matched – just not fewer babies needing homes. The latter would be good news and I think we all would be happy to keep waiting if we did not feel so badly for that child that doesn’t ever get the chance to be paper ready and at CCAA!

I think there is a onesie that says: “My mommy is not the Rumor Queen”. But what if she’s wearing a purple bandanna on her diaper bag, or what if not? I think all those travelling with this referral batch are going to have one extra level of fun attached to their trip. (Hey, is she the one? Is it her? Hmmm, I wonder…)
Also with a 10/27/05 LID, but I’m afraid we are not going to make it this next batch (whenever that happens, pre- or post-CNY). I’ve gone through 2 Magic 8 balls in the last 2 days and both broke. What does THAT mean?
That said, we are almost done painting the nursery which we only recently started. hey, you know what I just realized? The room is RQ colors! (lavender and light sea green) RQ’s kingdom stretches even further than we already knew. LOL.

Any word about there being a small batch of referrals to come out BEFORE the CCAA shuts down for the Chinese New Year break? Or is it more likely that nothing will come out until AFTER CCAA reopens post-Chinese New Year break?
I WOULD SO LOVE A WEE LITTLE BATCH OF REFERRALS TO COME OUT BEFORE THE CNY CELEBRATION! Am I hoping against hope????

Just alittle weird that the CCAA posted review through 3.22 and not the whole month, but then again who knows why they do the things they do. As long as they keep doing them, right?! (hang in there pettrout!)
with CNY fast approaching it’ll be interesting to see how the next group of referrals plays out.
Here’s to a suuwee-t CNY, lots of celebrations, eating like pigs, and not being to boaring. ;) sorry, couldn’t resist hamming it up on that one.

That’s funny… I do machine embroidery and have thought of some funny bibs for Hope. My son is year of the pig/boar. I told him I was going to make her a bib that said “My brother is a Pig” or “My brother is a Boar” since he’s eleven he thought that was hilarious! I think I’ll stick with “I love my big Brother”

we saw a shirt that said “it’s my big brother’s fault” at a store…but since AR is our first, she doesn’t have a big brother. So we settled for the shirt that says: “I’m in charge here…the parents are just for show!” and the way our little “spicy-girl” is coming along it’s kind of fitting. LOL

those of you who just got your referrals…when you travel, just look for the mommy with the crown. rq – you DO wear a crown, right? :) i swear, i have this image of you looking very much like the queen in sleeping beauty (my niece is hooked…i watched it 3 times over christmas…). i am all too happy to be one of your loyal subjects!

Congrats to everyone who got their referals.
Every time I see an update on the CCAA web site, I try to calculate the projected waiting period for my own dossier. I know that RQ have created a table showing the refferals date, the number of days in review room and the number of days in between referral days, etc. I find that information very helpful. Does anyone know where to find it?

I’m so happy for all the new families…
We have been home since December 28th w/our precious daughter. I have not had any free time to check in and feel that I’ve missed seeing all the great news!
Adoption is the GREATEST gift, I/DH have ever received… Certainly, there are ups and downs, but I cannot imagine not having gone through it all now. Our lives are so much richer (and I thought we had a great life before DD), busier for sure (w/a 17 mo old running around), but it’s like we have been living in black & white (yes, I love b/w movies and pics too…but you know what I mean) and now it’s FULL COLOR!
I wish you all speed to referral..the happiest day of my life was November 2nd (referral day)….until December 18th when we became a FOREVER FAMILY!!!…life is not the same…and I’m thrilled!!!

Kristinian; Really odd; some more missed referrals. Did you see Jennifer Gebhart’s posts; it seems that her referral was missed last month and was misplaced within the CCAA. She finally got her referral this month. You should get your agency to call the CCAA on Monday to see if they can find out what happenned. Hopefully its on its way and just a little late……Take care.

Congrats to all who got their referrals in this batch. I love looking at these new babies. I’m new to posting, but have been reading RQ for a long time, anxiously awaiting news of my new cousin. Any thoughts on another batch before CNY? I would love to see just a small batch for my aunt whose LID is 10/14! I’ve heard about a CNY tradition here and other places that all desks must be cleared of work — any thoughts? I am so excited for them and looking for hope.
