I’m back. Kind of.
I’m back, but I have an unbelievable amount of things to be doing right now. On the rumor front it will probably be best to continue going through the moderators at least for the time being, and possibly until I return from China. I’ll be around in the background though, so I can check in and put my two cents worth in here and there.
I’ve changed the CCAA Updates page (if I’ve gotten anything wrong please let me know).
And I’ve done a very quick analysis for how the next referral batches might go:

I did that analysis in a hurry, so I may need to look at it again later, but that’s my quick look at things. It looks like the most recent referrals landed right between the bad and mid case scenario from the last batch, and I foresee future batches being closer to the bad or mid case scenarios, as it’s been about five months since we’ve seen the kind of numbers in the good case scenario.
Again, I’ve been away from home for a while, my big girl needs a lot of attention, my husband could use some attention as well, I have a huge pile of mail my husband figured could wait until I got home, I’m trying to look at available flights and talk about hotels and, well, I’m busier than anyone can possibly imagine. So I’ll be around but I think the majority of the activity is going to have to continue on the forum for the time being.

Could you possibly turn the forum registration back on? Many of us were not aware we had to register separately for the forum, and while you’ve been gone (a whole month!), we’ve been outside here, noses pressed against the window, shivering in the cold, unable to come in and talk to anyone! : (

Welcome Back RQ!!! We missed you too. My mom and I check this board every day and then talk about what’s happening and when we think you will return. We’re hooked. My mom has to be in the hospital tomorrow but she was wondering how she could log in to see the rumors. She’s so cute - such a great support for our adoption even when she isn’t feeling well. Love you mom!

Welcome back, oh boy did I miss you. I am such a junkie. the Fab Five did a great job, sorry it just was not the same. I hope you fixed all your clients.
Funny thing, went to a birthday party for our friend’s little one that just got back at the end of January and another family there was a LID of July 2005, my friend was Aug 2005 and I am Nov 2005 ( some of the biggest months) needless to say we all agreed we could not have survived without the Queen. Please take your time and get your arrangements made, we understand.

Your predictions are sad for a Decemberonian hoping for a May/June referral but this whole journey has been a character shaper. I only have six groups in front of mine at our large multi-country agency and was holding out hope. I know I am closer, but some days I feel like I am hanging on by a thread.

Welcome back, RQ! You have definitely been missed! Do you really think that the best case scenario would have only 2 days of LID for June? I’m confused! We’ve never seen that small of number of days of LID since we started the process in 2005. Just wondering what the rationale is for that and if November 23 and 24 are really that big of days that there would only be two days referred in a month.

Just wanted to put my name on the list of people desperate to register for the forum. To my mind, that is a higher priority than another poll on the blog. We’re not going to get to the end of the most recent poll for a while, and even though the next poll is mine (LID 12/12/05), being able to participate in the forum conversation is a much bigger deal at this point.

Suffice to say after a little song about RQ to the tune of “My boyfriend’s back”, I wished her all the best.
Both her families missed her very much, despite the capable and wonderful fab five.

waitingfforbaby — i noticed that too — i wonder if there’s actually a typo in the ‘good case scenario’ for may, i.e. it should read 11/13, or maybe 11/14 or 11/15? there usually isn’t such a huge difference in days between the mid case and the good case, and in may there’s 11 days. maybe that’s it..?

I changed the analysis image to show all 2005 dates, and took out the best case scenario for June since the poll doesn’t go that far. I have no idea what I was thinking when I did that.
Also, forum registration is open for those of you wanting to register.
I’m not making any promises on another poll, but I hope to be able to put on together before I leave again.

Hi, I am new here…and trying any way possible to change my mind. Some are now saying that because of the Olympic, CCAA might speed things up!
