Roller Coaster Central

The agency with a package arriving tomorrow apparently no longer believes that package includes referrals. However, they have something else on the way that should arrive Monday and they think there is a chance that package is referrals.

Two agencies are saying referrals will not arrive until the second week of May.

Everything is an R3.

Hi RQ; yup; I heard that one too. Hopefully the package on Monday contains referrals, but it is possible that it will be TA. Any possibility that the package tomorrow contains referrals/TA’s or LOA for SN? I think I am going to tell myself that referrals are going to come later this month because I have this horrible feeling that things are going to go the way they did at the beginning of the month….we all thought that referrals were in the air…then we had to wait another 8-10 days to hear more wonderful news: 2 days…

    The second week in MAY????

    That is just rotten stinkin’

    But par for the course.

I have decided that CCAA will continue to be one long disappointing experience until the day (whatever century that might be) that I get a referral.

    UUUGGGHHHHHH!

Surely the package due on Monday wouldn’t have been posted by Wednesday? Despite the distances involved I thought it only took a couple of days in the post for things to arrive?

I think this rollercoaster is more like Space Mountain than any other - all the usual rollercoaster features (highs, lows, anticipation, changes in direction) but it takes place in the dark!!

A few months ago I read somewhere (on RQ’s blog?) that the CCAA thinks the waitingtime will grow to 24 months by the end of the (this) year. If that is the case, the december 2005 LID-dates will be referred in december 2007… The CCAA knows how many families are waiting in line and probably did the math! I first didn’t believe it but the small batches might indicate where we’re headed :-(
Does anyone else remember reading this?
The wait stinks! I hope they get into november this round but I doubt it….

  6. DragonMom Says:

Tintin, that would fit with the 9 day scenario in RQ’s “An Exercise” post, assuming it was just the end of december that has to wait 24 months.

  7. franchina Says:

    TinTin,

Yes, I do remeber that very well. It was an official statement on the website of a European agency and said it came to them directly from CCAA at the 8 december meeting. At the time, I thought it was unlikely, but now…. I see no reason to doubt it.

You are right as using RQ exercise in the post 2 back they will get beyond 2 years at just 9 days. So 2 or 3 sets of 2/3 day referrals would let them then accelerate back to 9-10 days each time and take it out to 2 years by end Dec for Dec 05 logins.

Just to be depressing…that means it will have taken them 2 1/2 YEARS to do the year of 2005. The first referrals for 2005 started on July 29th 2005 and that month was 38 days (sigh)…

If we weren’t so close (nov 7 05) we would be leaving the programme…as I, for one, don’t have any faith that things will speed up alot. I feel for everyone behind us. You have even more patience than I.

My agency is the one mentioned in this post and the previous. I’m lovin’ you RQ! You have effectively forced my agency to start giving out more information. They indicated that they if they don’t give us info asap, then someone else out there with rumors floating around will give us info.

Hail to the power of the Queen!

  10. vpandash Says:

Not surprising. I am mentally preparing myself for referrals to arrive the 2nd week of May. And I am expecting the cut off to be October 30th. I can’t afford another huge let down like last month. :( That way if I am wrong it will be a wonderful surprise!

SuzyQ My agency too has referred to “rumor sites” when I ask questions, and mind you I don’t pester them at all. But the fact of the matter is most all on this site is accurate! And the only place I can get info. I cannot even find out what LID dates they have or what Dossiers they believe are being referred. We do not get any kind of email updates monthly. Although they did post the new rules changes but that was several days after RQ posted.

I wish more agencies would give more information instead of holding back.

    frustrated,

Can you imagine, as an 11/23 LID I’m feeling waaaayy behind an 11/7 LID? I vivedly remember the days that only the LID month counted, the specific day didn’t matter at all, because the entire month would get referred at the same time. Not to mention the time when two LID months per month were referred. Looking back that seems like fairy tale land….

For me the waiting is not the hardest part, it’s the not knowing when. I’d rather wait 6 months with a definite referral date, than another 4 months on this frustrating rollercoaster…

Let’s hope CCAA gets to november really quick. Really, really quick!

It would be wonderful to see referrals arrive next week!

But …. it would be more realistic to expect them the week after next. *sigh*
