That’s pretty good news, isn’t it RQ? Are they back on track with the matchings with this batch? Although it’s 6 days, it seems to be a lot of families….!!!!!!
Congratulations to all the families who are going to see their precious child for the first time coming days! I’m so happy for you, and I feel much more confident with the wait!!!

OMG, We go from not knowing if referrals were coming to an R5 for Nov 1st! I think I’m going to faint!!!! This means I’m in!!!! I can’t beleive my time may be finally here. RQ, one question….any idea when referrals were mailed and we may see them? Oh God, I need to sit down and breathe…..

I just cried when I read this….I mean sobbing, big fat sloppy tears. Please let this be true. I was geared up for another 2 day batch, but to see November-I’m almost in a state of disbelief.

Is there any chance we might see a poll to include Jan 06 soon? With a LID of 1/24/06 we started this when the wait was 7 months!!! That seems impossible to me but it was true at the time. I have been in the dumps all month after the last batch and really thought that the CCAA was about to pull the plug. This batch has made me feel so much better– a step in the right direction. Now that I see NOVEMBER (whoo hoo) I am wondering if Jan 06 is a big month or not.

What a wonderful way to start the week. I am not going to get my hopes up just yet, I am still guarded after last month. But, I am going to have my phone nearby at all times and my referral sheet ready! This is definately positive news for everyone who is waiting.
I am so happy for the rest of us Oct Lid’s and the Nov 1st Lids. This is great news and I can’t wait to share in everyone’s happiness!

Last year’s referrals were for seven days and we were referred six days this year. Referrals are running pretty close from year to year. Last years batch for May was for 9 days, so you might see a 9 day batch next!!!

I remember crying over the 5 day batch last year. And now I’m crying over a 6 day batch- tears of relief and joy. What a difference a year makes.

I am sooooooo happy! I attended a family party this weekend where I must have explained a thousand times (again) how the China process works and how far away we are from a match. Needless to say I was utterly depressed by the time we got home.
This, however, is stupendous news !!!!!!!!!!!!

Since my sister-in-law Aunt2Laura called me this morning to tell me about this R5, I must admit I have been very skeptical. My stomach is in knots and I haven’t told my husband yet, because I’m still waiting for something more definitive. Before last month, I would have taken an R5 to the bank, but after that disappointment, I just can’t take this in or even really get excited. It’s too good to be true, too good to believe. Someone, please, convince me so I can enjoy this moment.

Woo Hoo!!! So happy for those of you who are included in this batch! What a difference a month makes. My hope is almost restored. I may even go ahead and submit my I-600a renewal today. I was going to put it on hold indefinitely to try to avoid having to do it a third time which seemed a real possibility last month. Can’t wait to see those baby faces. Bring on the referrals!!!

mom2laura- It is true!! My agency called and confirmed LID up to 11/1/05, and that referrals are coming in a couple of days. I know it is hard for us to believe anything having missed the cut-off by three days two months ago, and last time by one day. In our house, we are not officially jumping up and down on two legs until we see the pictures….we are jumping up and down on one though!

LinPatton3..I am with you…who would have thought that 6 days could be so great…I think its hitting November that has done it…Lets hope we get back to two weeks at a time next month..(although I am worried we have one more month of smaller numbers….better than this month or last month..but still less than the average… as this is what happenned last year)…. However, for now, I am thrilled!!!

janey, i think people just had their expectations SO lowered last month that they are just happy we didnt have 2 days again. its funny how sentiment can change that way.
the poll numbers indicate that this was (almost) an average sized batch, so i guess that’s the celebration, that and the fact that we made it into november finally.
i know what you mean though, with a feb 06 lid its hard to get too excited about the number of days referred this time.

One reason people are so excited is because 10/28 and 10/31 were HUGE days with zillions of dossiers. So while this may not be a lot of days, it probably is a lot of referrals.
Also, this lends some credibility to the rumor that we’d have one more slow-ish month and then it will speed up again. While that rumor was going around, others were speculating that the program is closing down, etc., so any news that suggests the first rumor is true rather than the second is welcome news indeed!
At least this train is moving down the tracks again…
