And now the 8th is not in (rumored)

I think we have to make this one an r3, and it’s getting closer to r4 status.

Apparently people with LID’s of the 8th are being told they are not in.

If it wouldn’t offend so many people I’d utter a string of cuss words here on behalf of those it will not offend.

Nothing is a sure thing yet, it’s all rumors still. But, the rumors aren’t so encouraging anymore.

  3. fjm Says:

Wow. How demoralizing. Down to a 7 day batch so far. I know that our wait is not the CCAA focus but at this rate of matching wouldn’t it be polite to acknowledge the wait and let people know that the wait is expressly for the purpose of closing up the program or encouraging them to go elsewhere instead of the eternal hope for speed up? Could this be in retaliation for the earlier rosier rumor?

  4. PinkPunch Says:

    No words for this. Seriously.

  5. frustrated Says:

    Utterly..
I’m waiting, no now anticipating you are going to say the 7th isn’t in.
If so, diet is shot and I’m going to bed with chocs, wine and cry myself to sleep.

  6. janey1245 Says:

    Dreadful. Just dreadful.

2006 will be waiting 4 years it seems.

  7. fjm Says:

Wow. How demoralizing. A 7 day batch at best. I know the CCAA is not focused on the wait for us but wouldn’t it be polite to let us know that they want to close the program and that it will be 2 or 7 day batches going forward so wait at our own risk. Having people waiting for many many years seems really wierd. And RQs November LID poll just keeps getting bigger and bigger–at this rate another 4 months to get through November.

I just don’t get this whole thing, I think I am confused mainly how we get the positive rumors in the first place, and then they always seem to be wrong????? Hmmmmm, the more this goes on the more I wonder!

  10. janey1245 Says:

    fjm said it perfectly.
We should shout that from the rooftops.

  11. HakkaMonkey Says:

oscar1elmo - it’s my guess that agencies are predicting/hoping (like the rest of us) that the next batch will be “big” or “bigger”. Maybe RQ can shed some light on whether or not agencies actually discuss this with the CCAA or if it’s simply their predictions.

I am trying not to get too down about the smaller batch rumors. I will remain guarded until we actually find out the cutoff. Say it isn’t so!

  12. ladybuginnebraska Says:

Well if they make it to the 7th, We have a 6-day batch
I think it will take atleast another 3-4 months to get
thru 11-2005, We have some very heavy Lids comming
up. Well I think I finally learned my lesson after 18months
I am giving any dates out to friends & family till we get
    our referral.

:( This feels like a bad dream :-(

  13. HakkaMonkey Says:

Well, I think I can answer my own question — I just went to the FAQs to refresh myself and #11 discusses where this type of info comes from. Go to http://chinaadopttalk.com/faq/

Sorry about the bad news, friends.

I think “hope” is one of the things that makes us human.

Maybe things will brighten up as the week gets underway. There is always hope until there are facts.

  16. Kayleecomeshome Says:

I just spoke to my agency and they are still saying to wait until the end of this week. They do NOT know how many days will be in this batch. I’ll continue to keep my fingers and toes crossed and pray. I feel a little like the little doll Susie on Rudolph. I haven’t any tears left to cry…

How do they expect waiting parents to not be on anti-depressants with news like this! I have no words to describe how I’m feeling at this moment.

  18. 3kids2dogs1hubnME Says:

Ok- who was the one who said they were waiting for the bad rumors to start?

  20. MeizhiMom Says:

What I think it horrific about this, if it in fact comes to be true is- the CCAA was CLOSED the first week in November 2005 as they are EVERY year for the holiday!!!!

So while it might actually be 7 calendar days(Heaven forbid!), the # of LID’s on those days is SOOOOOO small because of the closure.

Getting out the nausea medicine once again,
    Meizhi’s Mom

  21. RumorQueen Says:

The CCAA was not closed the first week of November.

    http://www.chinaadopttalk.com/ChinaAdoptTalkPollresults.html

Also, the “good” rumors supposedly came from people who were in the CCAA building and saw that there were more baby dossiers than normal, and who saw morale there higher than it had been in recent months because they could do more than they’ve been doing.

I have no idea how we got from there to here.

  22. rumorslave Says:

    Oh sh!t!!! Freak, freak, freak!!!!

  23. crazy4emily Says:

I thought for sure that the positive rumors were *too* positive. This rumor actually sounds more realistic. (don’t shoot me!) I was so hoping to be wrong this time, and to have the postive rumor be what really happened. Of course, the fat lady hasn’t sung yet, has she? I’m all ears now!! Sing away, let us see those referrals!!

  24. momwannabe Says:

    Hi RQ,
I’ve asked a few times about the number of people said to have been logged in during November but I haven’t received a response. Maybe I saw this on another site but it would explain alot. 3000 Dossiers in one month would make for very small batches. If this is true then we shouldn’t be surprised if we get another 2-3 day batch right?

  25. ljsatx Says:

I feel like a big fat idiot for thinking the good rumors could have been true. When, oh when, will I learn my lesson???

  26. Kayleecomeshome Says:

    Hi momwannabe,

I saw the same 3000 dossiers listed as you sometime last week or the week before. I’m waiting to hear a response as well.

    LID 11-09-2005

    Enough said.

  28. ourlittlereddragon Says:

We are LID 11.18.05 and this month’s batch of referrals was to have been our “indicator” of whether or not we’d get referred in July. It would appear that, once again, we’ve cursed ourselves by sharing even the potential of getting a referral. I know that adoption is a leap of faith, but come on. I would tell anyone else going through this process that, unless you absolutely have to, don’t tell a soul that you’re adopting. Just show up with your child once she’s home and before dimentia sets in! At this point, I belive it’s not far behind. I agree with Panda2004: how cannot you be held to task for taking pills when, at a minimum, you need them to get through this process?!

  29. anxiously waiting Says:

Like I said a week or so ago.

People who “should” know spilled the good rumor.
Now it seems people who “should” know have spilled a bad rumor.

    Where does that leave us.

Right where we started before we thought we knew anything.

Right now I am not putting faith in either. I am in wait and see mode at this point. Even though the bad rumors seem to hold more weight, is it just because we have become accustomed to the small batches? I don’t know at this point.

  36. fjm Says:

who’s telling these agencies their cut off? I thought they didn’t know until they received their packets? I know we think that they get information from liaisons and such but…..Hopefully this is all some bad guanxi.

  37. catherinethegreat Says:

Well, I was worried this would happen. This am I did not want to know the rumors……and here we are…..sigh; is all I can say…August is out for my LID for sure now…

  38. ellen Says:

I’m going to crawl in to bed now. Get me up in about 30 days.

  39. Kayleecomeshome Says:

    Inthepink,

No disrespect to you all who come after, but I sincerely hope that your agency is correct with saying the 7th at least!

  40. patientlywaiting Says:

So doesnt this rumor up to the 8th and the rumor about the 16th-21st have the same R3 rating? So in other words we know pretty much nothing?

Buckle your seat belt and keep your hands and heart inside the ride at all times until we come to a complete stop!

  41. waitingforlibby Says:

I’m so sorry for all the November LIDs if this is true, and I’m so sorry for all of us who are behind you. This sure takes the wind out of our sails, but thanks for sharing your info, RQ….

    Off to cry now…

  42. mlb75 Says:

crazy4emily, I am right there with you. I felt that the rumors seemed way to optimistic and that if they had gotten through as far as it was rumored then when they got to the smaller months (December, January, February) then they could have gotten back to 1 month of referrals per month, but they were not indicating that.
With that said, I fell for the rumors and started recalculating when we might get referral. This has been the hardest, longest thing of my life.
    LID 2/28/06

  43. manda4lilly Says:

It would seem the other shoe has just dropped.

  44. Kayleecomeshome Says:

    RQ,
Could you please list the last few dates that the referrals have moved over the past few months. Perhaps those people at the CCAA were just pleased because the batch is larger than they have been recently?
    LID 11/7/07

  45. bornfromtheheart Says:

Maybe the “7th” has been posted in the pay for info system only some agencies have access to. Who knows anymore.
I for one know that Hope, faith and believing are starting to need a really big refuel. I need a whole new bunch of family and friends that only think we’ve started this ride, so that questions are less than those being asked from the old clan.
I am nauseated by the waiting.

  46. tochinaformeimei Says:

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

We are going SN. But it breaks my heart every time I come here and see the depressing news of yet another let down. Why are they (CCAA) doing this? Why can’t they just have been honest from the beginning when they saw all of the ‘05 LIDs pouring in. They could’ve at least given us a clue of the multitude of dossiers and that it would be MUCH longer than a 6 month wait, which is what a lot (most?) of you were told. It just doesn’t seem fair. It’s like them dangling the prize in front of your nose when you know your LID could be included in this batch and then having it snatched away and your heart broken …. again. For the bazillionth time. *sigh*

My anti-spam word was mama. And that made me cry….

  47. firsttimemomlongtimewait Says:

Dec 2006 LID, there is no way a referral will be here in 24 month, or 36 months….out of money. out of patience. am getting off this ride and facing a life without kids. I wish I had someone to blame, whoever starts these rumors should know there is a heart barely beating on the other side of a computer screen counting on them being right.

  48. momwannabe Says:

    RQ,
Thanks for directing me to the Post that said 3000 Dossiers were logged in during November. If that is the case this is nearly half of the number of annual adoptions. It would seem to me that it would take 6 months to get through November. Is that consistent with your predictions? If not, why not?

  49. Natalie Says:

    …..What the bleep??? #%%&&%^()_*&^@#!!@

We are all trying to keep ourselves calm during this process, but one has to wonder what China is up to???

These short month batches are very traumatic psychologically…puts a new spin on Chinese torture…

  52. tochinaformeimei Says:

    firsttimemomlongtimewait ~

Don’t give up hope! I know this SO old, but it will happen …. eventually.

This time my anti-spam word was CCAA. The business that I would like to interrogate right about now.

  53. seeinglillybugs Says:

With a late 2006 LID I am still standing lin the very long line just to get on the ride. Since this is the only ride at the park, I plan on staying in line even if it take 6 years. I am still holding out hopes for you mid Nov folks. Every month we have good and bad rumors, no way to know just yet if the bad ones are any more accurate then the good ones.
