European Rumors
There is a European rumor that referrals have arrived at a European agency, and they cover through at least the 3rd. This agency’s next dates are the 5th and 8th, the person giving the information cannot confirm yet that either of these dates are included, but they are also not saying they are not included.
I have no idea how they came by this information, or how they would know the 3rd is included but are not sure if the 5th is. It sounds odd to me and I’m not sure how to rate it. Probably an R1 at this point?
On another note, a North American agency that is generally pretty reliable is saying referrals have not been mailed yet.
Anyone else getting dizzy?

I looked at your comment very quickly and thought you wrote “Is anyone else getting crazy?” Yes! Earlier this month I was thinking, OMG, this could happen sooner than I’ve been thinking (lately) and now I’m going to have to hustle and take care of all the things I’ve let slide because it seemed like it would never actually happen, that I’ll be in “someday I’ll have a baby” mode forever. And now it feels like more of the same, one disapppointing month after another. It does help to hear from people that once they get their child, that is not a disappointment. Some day I’ll have a baby…

OMG. My heart just did a 360. Can you tell us if there are several people who have reported this or just one or two? It just can’t be only 2 days … I don’t think anyone is ready to face another 2-day referral month.

This roller coaster ride isn’t making me dizzy…but I think I’m going to be sick!!!
So, we’ve gone from early rumors of a 15-day or so batch, down to a possible 2-day batch?!?!?! At this rate, it will take a year to just get through November! That free extension on the immigration approval may come in handy after all!

Are you kidding me!!! I went from squealing with excitement (scaring my husband) to taking deep breaths with the realization that I have a LID of 11/04 and will hopefully be in this next batch which should arrive soon.

My heart goes out to all you November LIDs. This has been the craziest rumor month in quite some time. We all just need to remind ourselves that we will eventually be united with our babies….it may just take much, much, much, much longer than we thought….sigh.

Hmmmm, it makes no sense to me that another batch of referrals should arrive before most travel approvals have been mailed out.

Well…I am not surprised…Not sure how I will take this…Are we sure these are for NSN? Could any of them be for SN? I know there is a date attached to them….but I am kind of surprised then that the internal pay for view site is not updated then…Stranger things have happenned…maybe this agency will get more than one package this month for referrals…An R1; not great news…even if it turns out to be another one of those months…no point in reacting yet to this…I just don’t quite believe it…

Olaya: Could you please elaborate a bit. Have you seen a referral announcement, and that it wasn’t a SN referral?
Sorry for asking, but a friend of mine is waiting for their referral, and I so hope that they get the call ASAP. But I don’t want to call them unless I’m sure that the stork is on its way. (We’re alse in Europe, so I assume that your news means referrals at least tomorrow morning for us.)

Also, pardon my ignorance, but is it normal for Europe to be referred first? I’m confused. I thought that Europe was farther down the line from what I’ve read recently.

I feel like I am on an endless rollercoaster, the kind I really hate, with my legs dangling and parts of the coaster are dark. And my head is getting banged against the supports. yep, thats how I feel. My daughter has started asking when baby sister is coming home and I just keep telling her we are waiting for the nice people in China to tell us baby sister is ready to meet us. She actually wants to draw a picture for the nice people in China to help them find baby sister. I am not sure if I should actually send it to CCAA or not. (dont want another black mark on my record)
hey, maybe my permenant record has really followed me from school and this is what happens? Oh well, got to get back to work.

Sometimes the packages reaches Europe first, sometimes the US/Canada. Everything is sent out at once, so it just depends on who gets the package first (and who has currently day-time).

Don’t y’all think you are over-reacting a bit? The 3rd is in, doesn’t mean (necessarily) that the 4th ISN’T in, does it? I think it just means someone with a LID of Nov 3 got a call. That doesn’t mean anything else. (yet) Right? Or are my blinders on … Maybe I’m just in disbelief that that they would only go through the 3rd…it seems impossible, doesn’t it?

A few things - I’ve gone out of my way to not publish which country we are talking about, so why would someone post in the comments which country?
And second, no, I’m not really buying the first rumor.
The only R4 that I have out there is that some TA’s should be arriving today.
That’s it though, nothing else is an R4 or R5, so we do not know anything.
The strongest rumor out there is that the cut off is the 7th, but even that is still an R3 which means I’m not making that prediction.

This month is the most excrutiating in 19months of waiting…
Never in my wildest did I think 2 days..4 days until the 5th but never only 2.
With a Nov 7 LID I AM TRYING to remain calm. This is a rumor..hopefully only R1

I think only one person got upset Olaya, and honestly if they don’t want to see rumors I have no idea what they came to a rumor site.
Just don’t mention the country please, as there are only a few agencies there and we don’t want any of them to get into trouble again for letting out info.

Am I the only one who interpreted this differently? If the agency who received referrals has the next LID’s of the 5th and the 8th, then they wouldn’t have received any referrals if they only referred to the 3rd or even 4th. Does anyone else see this or did I read it wrong?

No one on the boards from the country that this rumor originated from has announced a referral. I really do not believe that referrals have arrived there, I think this is a bogus rumor, thus the R1. But it is out there and was already being talked about so I needed to report it so I could give it an R1.

They say that an agency has already received referrals, and that the 3rd, AT LEAST, is included. They are certain of that (that is what they say), and nothing else.

This makes absolutely no sense to me.
Either they have them or they do not. If they have them then they know how far they got for their families.
And I have not seen any announcements at all on the boards for this country.
I’m still calling this one an R1 and probably bogus.

The last time that the referrals came, there were a couple of people that had to wait longer for there refferal because the paperwork was mixed up. They are from Holland and they are still waiting for it. I think that these are the referrals they talk about.(sorry for my bad english)

Just hoping now the whole thing is bogus, the whole past week is bogus and we can go back to the happy rumor of mid-Nov. Otherwise my hope for July is out the window, and now I’ll pray for August and have reality of September.

* The “European rumor” comes from a site run by PAPs, not from any agency site.
On the point of why can the agency say the 3rd is in but not know about the rest… quite simple: the agency has said NOTHING. The site confirmed that the referrals arrvide… through courrier tracking. So the real info they provide is that the package just arrived this morning, Euopean time. Let’s pass on how they were able to tack it, as it is irrelevant to the current state of affairs.
* The question of “Nov 3rd is included” is not a new assertion by that site. They confirmed (?!?) some days ago that Nov 3rd was in for sure… and that they knew nothing about the rest. But this date is unrelated to the fact of the package hitting the agency’s desk.
My own recolection is that they know for sure that the package arrived to the agency (but not though agency’s sources). They assume it contains referrals (based, apparently, on previous agency sources). They pretend to be sure Nov 3rd is included (but thy’ve been claimning taht for a while). I cannot tel how they got that, but I can only imagine that this comes from a Nov 3 family being told so by the agency, and then turning the info into that blog publishers.
I guess tomorrow the agnecy will start the calls, so then the usual referral anouncements will start on the various boards.
Now, try to get some sleep, or at least some rest ;-)))

Mussol - they are tracking packages over there? Surely they know that the only time the CCAA has gotten publicly upset over something being talked about on the internet was when families tracked packages?
Besides, just because a package arrived does not mean it was referrals, since U.S. agencies received TA’s today I’d imagine that was what was in the European agency’s package.
That site isn’t very scrupulous - first they use my graphics and try to pass them off as their own without admitting they are from another site, and then they use tons of pop ups, and now they are publicly admitting to tracking? I haven’t gone there since I got hit with a half dozen popup ads and some cookies that keep track of where you search.

Personally, I’m not giving this one ANY weight at all! I expect we’ll see referrals on Monday, then we’ll all know. Til then, I’ve jumped off the coaster and am just expecting a weak and disappointing month, just like the last 15 mos have been.

RQ, I don’t know for sure whther they actually tack the packages or whther they got an internal courier source (this is, in fact, what they claim). But it is quite obvious (and explicit) that they source on “the package arrvided at the agency” is courier-based and not agency-based. While the source on the previous “Nov 3rd in; we don’t know anything else” rumour can only come from an agency, either directly or indirectly though an adoptive family.
Now they claim they are writing to the agency apologizing for the mess.. and asking whehter they can keep using their “courrier source” in the future, even if they assume they won’t be able to.
I have no idea on their other sources (except that some are quite obviously… this site ;-) Nor on their general accuracy. Just wanted to clarify that the rumour reported there is completly split into two different ones, and with different sources. And yes, the package could be just TAs, they explicitly claim that they don’t “believe” this based upon past experience, but no first-hand information. So we’d better take this (and most…) rumours with a grain of salt.
All in all, not much info. No one seems to have much, if any.
