Just a bit of news...someone in the UK has been told by <organization> that with a Nov 16 05 LID they are probably in the "next next batch".

Fits in with the current theory.

Another one here in the field of mental health. I am currently looking for a job (even if only for a few months), and have learned my lesson. I am NOT even mentioning the adoption. I'm too tired. And as we know, anything can happen.

Reality testing here - Am I going to get my baby?

Dear Mumarlene,
I also work in the field of mental health...and I do pinch myself sometimes to make sure I have not invented this baby story. Sometimes it truly feels like it is all in my mind.

Dear Babymakes3 and Spall......

.....I know exactly how you both feel...I'm almost embarrassed to talk about the adoption anymore....I work in the field of mental health and I'm sure people feel I'm very delusional..in fact sometimes I feel this will never happen....

I think to be very safe and not to get our feelings hurt this month, we should say the rumor is "People with LID up to 11/10/05 will get their referral." Then when they do indeed refer up to 11/13/05, we will be thrilled it was a few more days.

I just can't bare hearing a rumor past this time frame. Because, like through the past year, we will just be disappointed again. It is about time a bone is thrown our way, but after the CCAA visits, I think the 10th-13th is a realistic acceptance.

Risking undue repetition here, but...
if the CCAA matches roughly the same % (of total November's NSN Lids) in THIS batch as they did in the last batch, then the cutoff will be Nov. 10, which is a 3-day batch.

If the pace holds steady, we will see a 3-day batch this time.

So if/when you see the bug purple "Nov 10" or "Nov 11" come up on the blog, don't disembowel yourself too soon--it is not a decrease in # of dossiers referred. And if they go further, they've matched more than in last batch.

As hard as it is not to latch onto days, it's not the # of days but the # of dossiers ahead of you.

BTW, when referrals materialized out of the blue last July, was it considered a bigger batch than normal?

Too funny guangximom, as I was just reading the forum. I think everyone in there will need some Tums.

Thanks so much for clarifying LadyBug4. After reading your post all I can say is... Phew!! I refused to fall into the 2-day rumor, but did lose a tiny piece of me in it. I've regained my strength! So thanks for clarifying.

confused, a "batch" refers to the batch of referrals that the CCAA sends each time. They prepare them and send them pretty much at the same time to agencies around the world. Hope this helps.
