Even though it means nothing in terms of referrals speeding up…it is still nice to see some action on the CCAA website.
And, especially now that CCAA is looking more closely at things, it really is a relief for those who have passed review.
Congrats Juners!

Congrats Juners ;o)
July 26th, 2007 at 10:38 pm
With the speed up for May and June could that possibly mean less people logged in for those 2 months?
July 26th, 2007 at 10:42 pm
CONGRATS Juners, this is a great milestone!
Now lets hear some news about this next
batch of referrals.

For my first two adoptions, I never even thought about review. It seemed like such a behind-the-scenes process, and no one really talked about it or knew exactly when we were in or out of review. I have to admit, though, this time I am actually tearful thinking about being out of review. I told my dh, “CCAA has approved us for another little one.” I just can’t explain how that feels…I feel so blessed tonight. And my anti-spam word is family. :)

So glad (understatement) to see this ‘milestone’ today - don’t know how I will get any work done for the rest of the day (may be nighttime in the US but middle of the day here).

First TA’s in fast turnaround, now reviews ……do I dare dream that referrals are going to have us gasping for the little air which is left after the smokin’! Congratulations on all those out of review. It’s such a great feeling. This means the CCAA are now 2 1/2yrs ahead of themselves. I trouble believing they are going to get so far ahead of the matching room, and not catchup soon. Oooh and don’t forget the 400 quilts. Wow now this could be the beginning of a rocket ride this month instead of the roller coaster.

bornfromtheheart: what do you mean when you say that CCAA is 2 1/2 years ahead of themselves? I’ve been running dates thru my head trying to figure out what you mean. :) Thanks!
July 27th, 2007 at 12:12 am
Chocolate! They’re on chocolate! They certainly deserve chocolate.
July 27th, 2007 at 12:28 am
Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m jumping up and down! We are just thrilled. We are going out to dinner tomorrow night to celebrate! So, I guess the CCAA could read my DR’s writing after all. I was a bit worried they wouldn’t be able to read his “chicken scratch” and would ask us for translations….

3xwait, I need sleep……its meant to be 1/2 yr ahead of themselves. (ie/ files from review against files being referred. Not the time for files already LID silly me) Got so excited.. with all the changes. I think I shall go eat chocolate to refresh my brain fog.
Funnily my anti spam is mama ….see its that fog again. She’ll think I’m absolutely mad by the time she meets me.

Finally something that relates to me on the front of RQs Blog! Feeling incredibly happy right now, partly for meeting this milestone, partly for CCAA approving us, and whole lot for just knowing we are moving along in the line. A great way to start the weekend here in Australia.

Congratulations to all those LIDed in June :-)
It does seem that at least parts of the CCAA are speeding up - LIDs are issued quicker and now Reviewing is speeding up. I know I’m dreaming but maybe referrals are next - its a lovely daydream :-)

Congrats to all june LID-ers!!!!!!!
May and June are out so quick….. does/can his mean something???? I know, I know, the reviewroom works different as the matching room and they don’t work together, but, but, but…. o, well…. I can dream…
July 27th, 2007 at 7:11 am
Something I used to post about but felt like a wet blanket so I quit reminding people….. when the CCAA puts a month out of review you should wait a couple of weeks before assuming you are in the clear. When they post they are done, that’s exactly what that means, they’ve reviewed them all. It doesn’t mean they’ve notified everyone of questions though. It can take a couple of weeks for them to get the question to the agency and then for the agency to communicate it to the family.
I know of two families last month who found out about questions after the site had changed. I think when they get through a month so quickly it probably increases the odds of that happening.

I’ve looked but can’t find the date May came out of review. I wanted to count the number of days it took June.

July 27th, 2007 at 7:43 am
It is looking like about 6 weeks. Can if really have been that long!!! Time is flying right now.
July 27th, 2007 at 7:47 am
The chart says 21 days. Isn’t that three weeks?
July 27th, 2007 at 7:47 am
Babydreamer, the website was updated on July 5th saying that May was out of review. Today is the 27th so that would be 22 days for June in review. I’m a May LID and I believe that we were only in there for 14 days. It’s nice to at least see something speeding up!!
Congrats to all the June families!

Oh, no wonder it seems so fast. It’s been 21 days.
Amazing.
Thanks RQ, I was looking farther down on another page.
July 27th, 2007 at 7:58 am
Congrats everyone! Now come on referrals!
July 27th, 2007 at 8:17 am
congratulations everyone in June!! You have waited long enough!
July 27th, 2007 at 8:34 am
OK!!!! DH and I thought that as our review got closer we would go on a diet “just in case we get a weight question” (he is right on the BMI borderline) Looks like we better hurry and diet LOL, eventhough we are LID feb. 07…the math based on 21 days per month, only gives us 21 weeks before we go into review…..toss out that cheesecake and pour out the chocolate milk!
July 27th, 2007 at 8:50 am
Congratulations to all of June. Now if the CCAA could speed up on their referrals, it would be wonderful.
July 27th, 2007 at 8:56 am
Yea!!! Congratulations to all the Juners! Chocolate all around!
July 27th, 2007 at 9:05 am
Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations to all of you that have made it through the review room. I’m so happy for you all.
I wondering if any one has heard how far the next batch of referrals will take us ? I’m waiting for any rumors dealing with the next batch of refferals, so if anyone knows anything please be kind and share. Pleasssseeee.
My anti-spam word is “China”. I’m sooo ready to pack up and leave.

Congratulations to June 2006ers… At last..out of review..YEH.
Congrats again to all of those who received TAs…
Now please bring on those referrals NEXT WEEK!!!
July 27th, 2007 at 9:24 am
I don’t mean to be negative, but I’m curious…how many dossiers are denied in the review room? I mean, is it simply a rubber stamp, or could you wait months and spend lots of money for the CCAA to say “sorry” How many people are denied?!?
July 27th, 2007 at 9:26 am
I’m hopefully not as dense as I look on here. I was checking my own e-mails and calendar and guessing from memory at the 6 week time frame. Then I found the chart and saw the actual dates. The posts are a bit out of order. I don’t know why my comments take so long to hit this site.
I’m glad it was faster than I thought.
July 27th, 2007 at 9:51 am
WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!
2 quick months through review. I sure hope this is good sign of things to come!!!
July 27th, 2007 at 9:56 am
For just about a year now I’ve been following this web site and feeling that our adoption is never going to happen (LID 8-2-06). I’m not much into posting on the web but with this news I decided to register and post my first comment. I can say that finally it feels like we might get past our first milestone in the next couple of months. This is GREAT news!!! Congrats June Families!
Also, thanks RQ for keeping it real - that’s what I appreciate the most!
July 27th, 2007 at 9:56 am
Wow…..I am speechless. I have been so worried about the review process. We’re actually going to get our little girl. Thanks for the well wishes!

Congrats to everyone logged in June! Now if only they’d get to September I’d be a happy camper. I’m still hoping that we’ll be out of review by the end of the year, but at this rate, it might be a lot sooner than that!

any figures on how many are refused by the review room? If the agency signs off it should be a formality? Mark

A question to those who are through the Review Room. Did you allow your fingerprints or I171H to expire during the long wait? Was anyone questioned about this? I ask because our LID is 9-15-06, and I’m wondering about letting our fingerprints expire for a few months (which may occur while we’re in the Review Room). Or, will this just put us further behind? Also, can you let me know what types of questions you were asked in the Review Room. Thanks - Linda
