Conflicting Information
If we didn’t have conflicting information we wouldn’t know what to do with ourselves.
One agency says referrals were mailed last night (U.S. time).
But, hold your horses…. Another agency with a LID that had better be in this mailing (Nov 18th) has confirmed that they do not have a package coming.
What could that mean? I refuse to believe that it means they have been mailed and the 18th is not included.
Is it possible the agency saying they were mailed has a package coming and is assuming they are referrals and they are not? Or were they told they are referrals? I don’t know.
For now I’m waiting for a third agency to say something.

I think this month’s rollercoaster ride is out of control. I can not even begin to fathom a 3-day batch. Still holding out for Nov 21…it just has to be true.

The agency that reports no expeted package could be wrong. I have a very conservative agency that refuses to comment on the arrival of referrals until they are in their hands. This is to the extent that they will post that the CCAA is still matching and then the next day referrals have arrived.
I’m going with the good.

I just cannot believe the 18th wouldn’t be included. What with there being so few, if any, people logged in on the 15th, that would really only mean another two-day batch. I really, really hope the agency is wrong.

Brace yourselves, this points to a 3 day batch. the latest rumors are the ones that pan out–even though this rumor has to do with receiving packages……. its just a bad sign.

I do not BELIEVE THIS. Remember the LIDS after
the 18th!!!! Oh I hope this is not the case. What
a long week this will be ! Please let this be wrong.
We have waited over 20 + months now!!!

This is my gut speaking here but I am not ready to accept that the cutoff has dropped to a 3 day batch. What I am ready to accept is that maybe what someone thinks will be referrals will actually not be and we are getting close but just not close enough.
As with everything else this is only a gut feel at the moment but hey could be.

Out of interest, would all agencies be aware in advance of a package arriving, that it had indeed been mailed to them?
Or is it possible some would only know they have a package, when the DHL guy knocks on their door ?
I really don’t know, do they ALL get advance warning from CCAA by email or something ?
July 31st, 2007 at 2:40 pm
RQ never said that the 18th was not included, just that an agency with LIDs on the 18th wasn’t expecting a package. This could also just mean that they don’t know of it being sent yet. Doesn’t mean it will never get sent. Let’s not go down that road of the worst case scenario just yet, there is far too little information and nothing above an R3 to point us in that direction yet.

I’m on AW’s team this week !
Unless someone can categorically state that ALL agencies receive an email saying “referrals on their way gang, with you in the mornin!” .

yeah what mcwannab said.
This has been a month of a little of this and a little of that and for the nmost part we stand there and go HUH?
It is not quiet but it sure as heck is not clear.

I agree with AW and mcwannab…RQ never said that the 18th or the 21 IS or IS NOT included. This message is about the mailing of referrals or NOT. Just because the agency with an LID of the 18th is not expecting anything this week does not mean that the 18th is not included…there have been tons of times that an agency is not expecting referrals and voila they land at their door steps…..I agree with mcwannab …lets not go down that road…Today is day 25; I don’t really expect anything until day 28th or so (though I know referrals have occassionally come earlier)…thats Friday…Hang in there guys…Referrals are coming. A two day batch is always a possibility..I agree (April taught me that)..but we have no rumors pointing to that..wait and see before assuming the worst…

The agency without a package coming has let families know in the past when they are expecting a package, so I believe them that they do not think they have one coming.
And I’m with AW, I tend to think the package the agency does have coming is perhaps not referrals.
There is another rumor out there right now that several directors are on vacation so even if they were through matching there would be no one to sign them. Not sure what to think about that one - we were told last year that they had made it so that more than one person could sign them and they’d make sure they both weren’t gone at the same time.

and you know the queen NEVER climbs out on my limb!!!
LOL (not usually anyway)
AW
July 31st, 2007 at 3:02 pm
…well I don’t really want to jump out on that limb either…but I think its possible that the agency (the one that RQ says has been accurate in the past) just doesn’t know either way if something has been sent too…right? I am not saying that referrals are mailed for sure…but clearly there has been a ton of activity since Friday..lots of TAs (NSN and SN); some TAs are still outstanding for some people..so yup it could be this…and it could be LOAs for SN and it could be referrals…Either way, I am with RQ..we need confirmation from another agency…
If the rumor about the directors is accurate, lets just hope they are away only for a week….
July 31st, 2007 at 3:40 pm
I may thow up now. Please just let the referrals come and let the 18th be included. We already sent in our visa applications. Come on now!!

Eeek! We are LID 11/18 and I’m finally excited about the idea of receiving a referral this time around. I will be completely bummed if we are missed this month. I sure trust the RQ and her analysis so I still have faith ours will be here this week or next. I’m crossing my fingers the agency rumor is just a package, not the referrals. As for vacation rumors, I’d like to think they have some sort of plan for when directors are away. To not have continuity would be poor planning…and it’s slows the process even more. With such a backlog, I refuse to believe they don’t have a back-up plan for vacationing directors. Here’s to hoping!

I am with CTG on this one, one agency’s issue’s or reported (yet unsubstantiated) claims, does not a cut-off date make. I think (FWIW) that the cut-off will be the 21st and not the 18th (makes waaaaaay more sense if your playing the CCAA play at home game) and that there is a distinct, yet unproven, consensus in many a forum that the referrals may already be travelling (this I hope for most of all).
Everyone, just hang in there.

Here we go… up and down, up and down. This is a bumpy rollercoaster ride. I’m ready for a smooth ride. A ride that will take us to the 21st or further. I’m not going to believe that this next batch will only take us to the 18th until I see it. Until then I’ll just be positive. I’d really like to see all of November LIDs included, but I don’t think that will happen. A girl can dream can’t she? Just hang in there. The light can be seen at the end of the tunnel for all of you November LIDs.
