Nothing new this morning

I think the best number out there right now is probably the 21st, but I’m not going above an R3 with it at this point.

I do not expect to see referrals arrive today. Some agencies had let clients know they expected something yesterday, and I believe all of those agencies have now confirmed they received the package and it was not referrals.

A few people have asked about upcoming holidays and trade fairs:

  • The Moon Festival is September 25th.
  • Then there is the National Day Holiday that usually starts October 1st and often goes for about a week.
  • Then we deal with the trade fair in GZ from Oct.15th -20th and then again from Oct.25th-30th

The moon festival should not affect travel. The National Day Holiday can affect travel and may also affect referrals. The Trade Fair does not affect referrals but some agencies will not allow their people to be in GZ during those weeks so travel can be affected. For those agencies who do travel during that time, hotels are more expensive and oftentimes families stay somewhere outside of Guangzhou instead of on Shamian island.

    RQ,
How many agencies have said the 21st? Do you think these agencies are giving their best guess or could they actually know something? Or maybe they’ve read your predictions!

    Thanks RQ…

We traveled duing the October National Day Holiday. We had to hang around GZ for extra days waiting for things to reopen so we could finish our paperwork and go home. I wouldn’t want to do that again if I could help it…….

RQ - How do you think the travel plans will be affected by the Olympics next summer? We are thinking with a LID of 2-14-06 that travel next summer may be likely.

    Thanks,

I hope I don’t get banned from this forum for speaking out of subject, but how come when can’t post comments in the Twinkletoes section? Do I need to reregister as if that is a different site?

That blog has it’s own database of users, so yes, you need to sign up over there, too.

I wish I could figure out how to get all of the various bits of software to feed off of the same user database.

Again, I am so sorry for speaking off-subject, but if you try and sign up, it tells you have to choose another email address and user name. I can choose another user name but not another email address. As I have a 3 year old toddler now, I just thought it would be nice to share.

Lauriesue - use this link to sign up for the GGTT blog

I tried this link, and the same thing happens. It wants a new user name and a new email address. Oh well!

  11. RumorQueen Says:

Exactly Lauriesue - you have to sign up to leave comments on that blog!!!! That is where you sign up!!!!!

  12. Lauriesue Says:

I can’t sign up. It keeps telling me to use a different email address. I suspect that’s why you don’t get so many comments on this part of the site.
