All over the place
A European agency seems to think some of December may be included in this batch.
A North American agency seems to be hopeful that the 28th may be included.
Most other agencies are pointing to the 24th and 25th.
And I’m not even sure that these are all that ratable at this point. I think they are all in the realm of an R2 or R3, probably closer to R2.
It is pretty frustrating to be this far along and not have a clue. But some months it happens this way.
UPDATE: I am led to believe that they will likely not be here before Labor Day. I have two accounts that they are still working on matches (coming from two completely different places).

Oh I hope it is further than the 24th or 25th. That would be horribly depressing. Come on referrals!!! December sounds nice!!!

Are any of them saying when they expect to see these referrals? I’m sure you would have mentioned it if they had an idea of when they would arrive…..I can’t stand this wait!

Let the roller coaster ride begin….
I’ve been home for over 4 months with my daughter, and each month I get so excited about referrals. I bet there are a lot of people like me who are home with their children but are still glued to RQ 24/7.

Wow, this is crazy, everywhere from 3 days to more then 9 days. I hope they make it into December, that would be awesome but I am not counting on it. I feel sorry for those of you with a late November LID, the nerves must be all over the place right now. Good luck.

Thanks for this. In my mind (and in my own analysis), any and all of these scenarios are positive. Because Nov is so huge, getting more than a 2 to 3 day batch would be real progress. I know this is hard for some folks to hear, but Nov 22-24 are all pretty big days, as are the 28th and the 30th. Cross our fingers and hope…!!!

My personal guess was the 27th but I was hoping for the 28th –thinking they might stick with the 7 day thing… it will be nice when we all know so we can start thinking about next month! and of course so those families who do receive referrals can FINALLY see the faces of their little ones.

The actual matching process only takes a few days.

This is really a frustrating time right now because all the late Nov and early Dec LID’ers are so close and yet so far away….

But just because they were looking good, it does not mean they had matched them. I may just mean that they knew how many baby files were there and knew they could get at least that far.

Thanks, RQ. Most months I feel so optimistic, but this month hearing an agency say Dec. might be included just makes me sad. Not because I wouldn’t love for that to happen, but just because if it’s like the last few months it will just set us up for heartbreak. Let’s see, if an agency is saying into Dec., it probably means around the 25th. :(

tochina4sara, I think she may mean “included” because that’s what is stated in the first sentence. I don’t see any reference to a cut-off. Could be wrong-wouldn’t be the first time!

I’m still thinking October for us but it just about sent me into tears to just see in print that Dec. “might” be included in this batch. I know better than to get worked up but it’s a great reminder that no matter what we’re getting close!

I’m curious - is it possible that the CCAA would make referrals for European agencies through December while still only referring November dates for North American agencies? Has that ever happened?

I’m counting on the 4th personally and would love for them to go into December but I wouldn’t count on it. The 24th or 25th seem more likely to me and I would love to be wrong on that!

I have heard a rumor from China that the CCAA have completed all paperwork up to December. I’m nervous posting this as I know that it is so hard to hear and then for it not to be true, but I did hear it from someone in China, so I thought I should post it here. Apologies in advance if it does not turn out to mean referrals for the rest of November. Hoping things really are speeding up to Feb 2005 and beyond LIDs and holding my breath for all the November LIDs….

Well I am ready for bed! I am emotionally exhausted and feeling a bit depressed. My chicks left for college and I am again reminded about how quick time flies. Also I am hoping they complete November, but we are so use to be dissapointed. I am old, tired and growing greyer by the minute. I am treating myself to a tylenol PM! Loooong time reader, first time poster. It seems to me they might keep matching until they can finish the 2005 quota year through November 30. As someone who works with government administed programs, I see this done to allow for internal procedural changes.

Perhaps they are just going to send a batch later into September that includes all of November. Since many of us have to wait to travel until November anyway because of the trade fair maybe they are thinking there is not such a rush and that they should just try to finish November. Just a thought… what do you all think?
