The 24th appears to be in

r3I have it from three different sources that the 24th is in.

Not that the 24th is the cut off, just that it is included this month.

r3I have 4 sources saying that matching is not yet complete, and I have it from 2 sources that matching is complete but nothing has been signed. Either way, for now everyone agrees they have not been mailed yet.

Uggg… I really really hope that the 24th is not the cut off, a 3 day month would be disheartening. I am really hoping/thinking they will get through at least the 28th but at this point, with the rumors all over the place I don’t know what to think. Come on CCAA.

I am just glad we are getting information. Thanks RQ. And maybe 11/24’s can breathe a little easier today.

  3. AmazingGrace Says:

Contrat’s to all those who will be looking into their babies faces. I can’t imagine how I will fell if for some reason the 24th is the cut off!! How long have we been in November for? Forever!!

  4. Family2B Says:

Well, although 24 Nov doesn’t sound good, and if I’ve read the poll results right, there are more RQ voters in 21-24 Nov than the batch before.

P.S. my antispam word is family which is kind of funny with my screen name.

  5. canjkn Says:

RQ- Thanks for all you do. Any information is appreciated at this point in the month. I won’t be happy if the 24th turns out to be the cutoff, BUT at least that is one day over your “horrid case” prediction. (Still trying to stay positive…and only mildly suceeding!)

    Thanks RQ!
Does anyone else feel like this has been the longest month ever?
Congratulations to all the families who will receive their referrals.

  7. lilsmom Says:

If the 24th is in you would think that they could at least match up to the 27th. The polls show only a few people logged in for those 3 days. I don’t know if I can handle another 3 day month!

  8. hedge Says:

Don’t everyone get down…….if you’ve read alot of the hub bub in the last 24 hours………you’ll see that what this post is saying is that it is probably at least the 24th…….in no way no way no way…….does this mean this is the cutoff.

    Still with much hope -

  9. Calamity4e Says:

Anybody care to start making bets on the 24th being the cut-off date?

    I’ll wager 2-Lemon Drop Martinis.

    Takers?

LID 12/20/05 . . . and waiting, waiting, waiting– Will November 2005 ever end?

  10. waiting for lola Says:

Hang in there gang — I’m crossing my fingers for you all!

  11. eli Says:

calamity — i’m wagering on the 24th too, something about this feels ominous, like it really is the cutoff. i feel like i have seen this pattern before. hope i’m wrong.

oh and if it really is the 24th, its pretty easy to predict the cutoffs for the next couple of months based on RQ’s polls. seems they are sticking to about 120 RQ families a month (and in real numbers i think thats only approximately 350 babies a month? yikes - amazing when you think it used to be more like 1000)

hope they can get a bit farther. we’ll know soon i guess…

  12. Pouge Says:

  13. suzanne_radford Says:

yah!!! for the 24th, I will soon be an auntie!

  14. Jamie Says:

    Calamity-
I am with you, something about deja vu and we have seen this pattern before. Not getting my hopes up for more than the 24th–anything else is bonus at this point for me. I hate saying this, but I have been round this turn on the roller coaster before and I am beginning to recognize what comes next. Still keeping my fingers crossed for a little bonus though.

  15. lilandgrace Says:

    Thanks, RQ,
I hope they can get past the 24th, but won’t be surprised if they don’t. Let’s just get those things mailed!!! At this rate, CCAA may not get the next batch done before the October holiday!! I don’t have to worry about that, but there’s a lot of people who do. Come on, CCAA!!

11-22 NEXT, and not looking forward to another LONG week-end!

  16. GraciesMom Says:

I also think they only got to the 24th. I have that “told ya they wouldn’t get far” feeling in my gut. I raise the 2 lemon drop martinis and through two fuzzy navals!

  17. Nancy Says:

I had the same thought - seems like whenever we hear a certain date is “in”, it turns out to be the cut-off.

I hope we are all wrong!

Hopefully this does not post twice as ilost my firstone

I’m with those of you that have that sinking feeling that the 24th is as far as they have gotten. Please let that feeling be wrong!

  19. meilismom Says:

I think I’ve been waiting/hoping for a surprise ‘larger than usual’ month for the last, um…18 months! You would think a girl would learn… Now, here I am still hoping that CCAA can get us into December.

  20. tochina4sara Says:

I looked at last month’s rumor pattern and it was July 30th that we heard rumors of the 21st being the cut off. Now I, too, (being Aug. 30) am having a sinking feeling that we are getting hints that the 24th is the cut off. Please don’t let this be true!

  21. vttoonses Says:

My anti-spam word is “ccAA” which is interesting because by the time I got to the bottom of the posts, I had a number of other 4-letter words bouncing around in my head.

I’ll pass on the martinis and fuzzy navels, just scotch please.

  22. Worthwaitingfor Says:

Every month, I hope for a “speed-up”, every month disappointed, but I am trying to be positive, since we don’t have ANY control over this process, those were three BIG days, let’s get past those…on to December 5th (the next big LID) moving slowly forward in this reallly long line! We will all get there, on this slow boat together!

  23. rumorslave Says:

I’m with the others, if the 24th is the cut off, why not go through to the 27th? There doesn’t appear to be many families in those days and the psychological effect would be great.

I think I’ve been singing “wake me up, when september ends” since about march.

  24. adventures Says:

The 22nd is huge so I’m not surprised if the 24th is indeed the cut-off. Disappointed but not surprised.
Rumorslave, I’m always asking that question–why not just go a few more days if they are small but they never do. :(

    11/22/05–grateful to be next!

  25. terrialba Says:

    The cut-off on December ????

If you can read in Spanish … that´s WONDERFUL ..
Do you think it´s true ????

Edited by RQ - link removed since it pointed to an agency.

  26. terrialba Says:

    Ohhh ¡¡ december in ??????

Edited by RQ: Link removed since it pointed to an agency.

  27. RumorQueen Says:

terrialba, the machine translation for that site says:

We still do not know if this turn includes day 13 of December, is difficult although yes that several days of December have been assigned.

That could sound like they are hoping some of December is in and acknowledging it will be difficult for it to happen.

Or, it could sound like they know some of December is in and don’t know if the 13th is in.

I think we need a better translation.

  28. mom23boys Says:

In my own predictions I thought the 24th would be the cut off. I was hoping that I was very wrong and way too pessimistic. The 27th- 28th would really be a nice moral booster. It would be very sad to only get through 3 days- even if they are huge. We just need to get through November. I really feel for the Dec 05 folks here. You must be hanging on by a thread.

The comment above about 350 nsn placements a month - are they really back to 1999 levels?

I guess we will have to wait untill the number of immigrant visas comes out after Sept to get a real picture of the number of children available.

  30. Silvia Says:

    Hi!
let me put you in a picture, there are this rumor in Spain but there are another one from 3 agencies, not so great, with a cutt off of the 24th. On the other hand your translation is perfect ,this website say that, but is the only one with this information. Who knows, maybe is true or maybe no, nothing sure right now.

  33. afraine Says:

Here they are saying that the families in Spain are expecting the
referrals during the week of September 10th. It ,also, mentioned that they
are not sure if December 13 is included but that defenitly they are
going to cover till the beginning of December.

  34. Sybil Says:

Do you think the CCAA is referring smaller batches each month because there are less children to adopt? Has the Chinese government figured out there is going to be a shortage of Chinese women in the future and have they laxed the rule of one child per family? Or is this all just some political
    bureaucratic game?
My husband and I are new to this…our paper work arrived in China in Feb. ‘07 but, we weren’t logged in until April 20, “07 so we have a very long way to go. This is all very discouraging seeing all the children around the world needing loving supportive families.

  35. cab2 Says:

Sorry to be so positive, but I have a strong feeling that December referrals will start very soon. I believe the Spanish rumors…hopeless ( but nervous) optimist I suppose.

  36. threebluesteps Says:

reported elsewhere: A person in the Netherlands with an LID of Nov 25 was told they are NOT in this batch. In past months, these reports of people told they are NOT in have held true (have turned out to be more accurate indicators of the cutoff).

So we’re seeing, I think, about the same pace of dossiers referred (hey, at least it’s holding steady & staying fairly predictable)

On the upside, reports of people told they are not included is one of the last things we hear before referrals arrive — a sure sign that referrals are about to be done/sent, even if not this week.

  37. GotchaBack Says:

I’m so hoping for good news……… I think my heart is skipping a beat. To me, I’d feel so incredible if we could just get out of November….. If and when we do enter December, I’m thinking it’s going to snowball from there. Call it optimism, or merely my survival tactics, but we’ve continuously heard that November is tremendously huge, to enter December, it might feel as though we are flying through referrals, and when we do enter December, I just might feel as though we will REALLY get to see our baby some day, and sooner than later….. my March ‘06 lid has felt like I was trying to go up to the second floor, but on the downward escalator…….. I can see my Dossier at the top, but it just keeps getting further and further away.
I WANT TO GET TO THE SECOND FLOOR!!

I am truly happy for all of you that are next……… CAN’T wait for this next round.
