ejcimd - this means all files have been reviewed. It doesn’t mean that all families have been notified of questions. We usually see people continue to get question for about two weeks after the site changes. This is because it can take a while for the CCAA to package everything up and mail it and then for the agencies to translate the information and then notify the families.

WHAT ABOUT REFERRALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I”M GOING NUTS!!! Does the fact that they have updated the box with the reviews but not with referrals mean that they aren’t doing referrals or something? Someone please say something before I loose my mind here–I’m LID 11/30—shouldn’t we be next RQ/anyone/someone/ Give me SOMETHING?????

Does anyone else find it impossible to believe that there is not one whisper of a rumor anywhere out there in the world???? For months now we have had rumors two weeks ahead of the referrals!! Yes, they were way off but at least we had somthing!!!!! RQ, I know if you had somthing you would tell us, right?

adomom12; I am with you! I am on pins and needles awaiting some referral news as well. We are LID Nov 28, and have been on a long journey. When we started this whole process we were told 6-7 months, because at that time they were doing about 7 months, then it was 9 then 11 then 15 then 17 - 18, now I can’t take it anymore. Let the referrals finally come.

Well it looks like the CCAA has been busy. Maybe we will see the Matching room change in the next few days!!! I’m thinking December 5th or 6th as the cut-off! Less will just put me over the edge.

If the CCAA is taking a year to review dossiers, just how many dossiers do they have ? We adopted in 2004 and the entire process was under 9 months LID to Child in Arms. That was with 8000 children a year being adopted.
Assuming the evaluation process ( time to process dossier) is relativley fixed, just how many dossiers do they really have in back log? or are they sandbagging?

ARG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never spent so much time on the computer in my LIFE!! RQ-you’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you—I mean, I know those of us with late Nov. /early Dec. LID’s are driving you nuts, but come on! Just one little old rumor–what about the weather-SOMETHING! Perhaps it is cloudy over there (duh) and they are working less/more hours because of the clouds????? Then we can all blog about the climate changes and global warming and other such weather related items and how it all effects the CCAA and their referral speed……….Silly, I know. But, at least it would be SOMETHING!! Better than this “really hard to take” quiet….

It’s actually a little unsettling to me that the review room keeps cranking along while the referrals drag. Back when I adopted my first daughter (late 2001) I’m pretty sure that you were in the review room and then matched within a month or so of each other. Fast forward to review v. referrals of May 2005 - May 2005 got out of review at the end of Nov. 2005, then were pretty much all with referrals end of March 2006, so only 4 months out of phase. Now they are just about to complete referrals for Nov. 2005, who got out of review in early Sept 2006, so THIRTEEN MONTHS out of phase. I have to think that having review and match so far apart is going to have its problems. . . BTW, I am LID Nov. 2006 so I do get excited as the review months fly by, but I’m just worried that it’s going to turn into a “phase 1″ review and that it will need to be updated down the road.

Nancy - I am just as confused as you and actually asked this on another string with no response. My first adoption was done on Jan 2002 so leading up to that - once you got out of review you went right to matching and were in matching for maybe 2 months on the outside before receiving referral (if my memory is correct). What happened? and Why? I am very curious about this - do they just not want to overload the “matchers”? I just can’t see any reason not to move things quickly through review unless they are just waiting as long as they can in hopes that due to the long referral wait there will be some homestudy updates in the interim?
I’m sure this has been discussed awhile ago but I missed it or wasn’t here then.

I haven’t been on this site for a while but thought I’d check in. Wow. My LID was August 2005, and I can’t BELIEVE they have only matched families up to November 2005. Has the situation gotten even worse?! My heart goes out to all of you. I remember how painful and dreadful the wait was. I will say now that I have had my daughter for about 9 months, once you have your child, all of this will become a distant memory. I promise. Soon you will be so wrapped up in your totally new life, all this pain WILL FADE AWAY. Stay strong everyone. It is so worth it, and it does eventually happen! I mean it’s no problem that my daughter is 85 years old now–KIDDING!
