Bummer
The site didn’t change. And it is now Sunday night in China and they will be out of the office for a week.
Did they get the batch mailed? I don’t know.
We don’t know anything for sure about a cut off. But, a lot of people with LID’s prior to the 30th have been told they are in, and to my knowledge only one person with a LID past the 30th has been told that they are in.
I am really afraid the cut off might be the 30th. I’m not saying it is, I’m just saying that it’s really starting to look that way.

Well the good news is that when we start hearing that agencies are telling folks that they are in then referrals are usually not too far behind.
If I had to guess I would say we will be getting agency calls this week.
Let me say there is always the possibility that things have not been mailed yet and are awaiting signing, but I have a hunch we will get referrals this week.
Fingers crossed and don’t kill the messenger if I am wrong.

Oh could it be???????????????
Anxiously Waiting for LOA

Always anxiously waiting for somthing it seems LOL

So how long does it take for the agencies to get them if they were mailed on China’s Sunday?
And I think I’ve lost hope on getting my referral this time with a 12/05 LID. This is pure torture.

Well, have a nice holiday CCAA. And thanks so much…..for leaving us HANGING!!!!!!!!!! Humph.
And if the 30th is the cutoff then many congrats to those families - but a great big UGH for the rest of us still left!
September 30th, 2007 at 8:40 am
When they mail friday their time we usually get calls on Tuesday or Wednesday so I think we are looking a little later Thu/Fri maybe.
AW
fingers crossed

Wow–that would be the smallest batch ever I think. What I wouldn’t give for a candid conversation with the CCAA about where this program is going to. Congrats to all the 11/26 through 11/30.
September 30th, 2007 at 8:45 am
This is just cruel! (And I know, a gov’t agency can’t be “cruel”….but then again that means it also can’t “care” either…)
I understand the idea of not laying everything out on the table for us, but geez…
RQ…what was the date of the one person who was told after the 30th???
Let’s hope we find out by Wed, seeing as the package transport facilities would already be over their weekend days off…
September 30th, 2007 at 8:48 am
Big, fat, long, drawn-out sigh! Not a good way to start my morning.
September 30th, 2007 at 9:14 am
so sorry..but this really is awful!!
September 30th, 2007 at 9:14 am
Are we sure that the agencies received word from CCAA on Nov 30 or are they guessing because if they didn’t get that far they wouldn’t be sending our referrals at all. I am still holding out hope for some of Dec to get in.

It also a possibility that CCAA have delayed the publication of their website in order to ensure that agencies get their referrals first.
But if it’s turn out to be 30th I’m numb totally numb!!
September 30th, 2007 at 9:46 am
A bit OT but if the previous rumor is correct that the CCAA matches ahead and then “waits” to mail why would any of them “need” to work a weekend?
I have a really bad feeling that we won’t see anything until the week of the 8th.

dang it… i was so hoping for good news this morning!!!!
what are the chances we’ll be waiting until next week to see referrals?
September 30th, 2007 at 9:55 am
almostthere1- even if they were matched ahead, imagine the time it takes just getting them ready to mail to, what? HOW many agencies?? It must take a tremendous amount of work…
Again, I don’t think they match that far in advance anyway.
September 30th, 2007 at 9:56 am
any chance we may hear anything today from ccaa?
i didn’t really think i would be included in this batch
but i would like to say “next” , I thought for sure they
would get to 12/05/

Yes, Nov 30/05 families all over the place (multiple countries) have been directly contacted by agencies to confirm that they are in. No hoping. Definite.
But no word on timing of mailing! -nobody in Nov LID room here has had mailing confirmed by their agency yet, including the ones who were confirming 30th as in. The terms in “days” has been used, with agencies “hoping” for next week. (as of last week).
Some agencies are expecting packages Mon or Tuesday but those same agencies have things other then NSN referrals to arrive (waiting child info, for ex)
Working on the weekend may be standard before a holiday, and has happened even when there was no batch to mail out. So we can’t use it as an indication that referals have or have not been mailed. CCAA handles domestic adoptions and SN too.
AW yes! getting cutoff confirmation usually precedes referral arrival by a day or two. Still a good chance of that!
But there’s another scenario possible:
- with the holiday coming, Nov 30th cutoff could be confirmed to agencies, so, even though the CCAA will be shut and referrals not signed or mailed, those agencies’ contacted CCAA before the holiday week to get the state of things before the week-long shutdown.
- Several Nov families just got e-mails informing them that CCAA would be closed Oct 1-7. If our referrrals were about to arrive tomorrow, why tell us that?? Or was that a mass e-mail to all clients?
I do think it more likely that these were pre-referral-arrival calls, but Nov 05s might want to prepare for the possibility of no mailing. (yeah I know…)
I mean, what are the odds of a director with signing power working the weekend before a major holiday? Unless the signing was done Th/Fri and the packaging after signing doen Saturday.
We’ll find out Monday, at any rate.

Potentially only 3 work days worth of referrals and only 68 referrals (per the last RQ poll). This is defiantly one of the worse months I can remember. I wonder why they have slowed down even more.
If the rumor that they have already matched further then they have mailed, maybe that gives more strength to the idea there is a quota. Maybe they have already hit the quota and have to only send out a minimum of matches each month. Doesn’t the CCAA new fiscal year start in December? Maybe we will get back to “normal” them. I pray this is not the new normal.

We are hoping for news about our LOA . . . LOI 8/6/07. Tomorrow we have a conference call scheduled with our agency . . . most any news is welcomed.
Best wishes for you all - don’t give up hope on this week . . . we never know what tomorrow may bring.

After last month’s batch when people were guessing about the cutoff, I guessed Nov. 30 or Dec. 1. I was hoping to be wrong. I can still hope, I guess…
September 30th, 2007 at 11:55 am
Do we really know that the CCAA people will be off for the whole week?
September 30th, 2007 at 12:33 pm
threebluesteps,
As a 12/5/05er I’m losing hope because nov. 30 people have been told they are definitely in (although yay for them!), and that not many (was it 1 person? or none?) of the Dec. people have been told the same thing.
BUT - it seems like if there were so many definite confirmations of Nov. 30 being in, RQ would have given it a higher rumor rating. So maybe these agencies are telling their clients that they are “definitely, no doubt” in just because it is so obvious they would be, whereas agencies can’t feel sure about Dec. (like they can for Nov.) I’m not trying to argue, just trying to still believe that Nov. 30 is not the cut-off.

O, well, last month 4 days (am I right?) This mont 5 days. That’s more than last month. Today, I see it from the positive site. Our street is celibrating it’s 30th anniversary today. We had a bike-search-tour(?) and we were placed first! We had a barbecue and it was an enjoyable day!
