O, well, last month 4 days (am I right?) This mont 5 days. That's more than last month. Today, I see it from the positive site. Our street is celibrating it's 30th anniversary today. We had a bike-search-tour(?) and we were placed first! We had a barbecue and it was an enjoyable day!

threebluesteps,
As a 12/5/05er I'm losing hope because nov. 30 people have been told they are definitely in (although yay for them!), and that not many (was it 1 person? or none?) of the Dec. people have been told the same thing.

BUT - it seems like if there were so many definite confirmations of Nov. 30 being in, RQ would have given it a higher rumor rating. So maybe these agencies are telling their clients that they are "definitely, no doubt" in just because it is so obvious they would be, whereas agencies can't feel sure about Dec. (like they can for Nov.) I'm not trying to argue, just trying to still believe that Nov. 30 is not the cut-off.

After last month's batch when people were guessing about the cutoff, I guessed Nov. 30 or Dec. 1. I was hoping to be wrong. I can still hope, I guess...

Potentially only 3 work days worth of referrals and only 68 referrals (per the last RQ poll). This is defiantly one of the worse months I can remember. I wonder why they have slowed down even more.
If the rumor that they have already matched further then they have mailed, maybe that gives more strength to the idea there is a quota. Maybe they have already hit the quota and have to only send out a minimum of matches each month. Doesn't the CCAA new fiscal year start in December? Maybe we will get back to "normal" them. I pray this is not the new normal.

Yes, Nov 30/05 families all over the place (multiple countries) have been directly contacted by agencies to confirm that they are in. No hoping. Definite.

But no word on timing of mailing! -nobody in Nov LID room here has had mailing confirmed by their agency yet, including the ones who were confirming 30th as in. The terms in "days" has been used, with agencies "hoping" for next week. (as of last week).

Some agencies are expecting packages Mon or Tuesday but those same agencies have things other then NSN referrals to arrive (waiting child info, for ex)

Working on the weekend may be standard before a holiday, and has happened even when there was no batch to mail out. So we can't use it as an indication that referals have or have not been mailed. CCAA handles domestic adoptions and SN too.

AW yes! getting cutoff confirmation usually precedes referral arrival by a day or two. Still a good chance of that!
But there's another scenario possible:
- with the holiday coming, Nov 30th cutoff could be confirmed to agencies, so, even though the CCAA will be shut and referrals not signed or mailed, those agencies' contacted CCAA before the holiday week to get the state of things before the week-long shutdown.

- Several Nov families just got e-mails informing them that CCAA would be closed Oct 1-7. If our referrrals were about to arrive tomorrow, why tell us that?? Or was that a mass e-mail to all clients?

I do think it more likely that these were pre-referral-arrival calls, but Nov 05s might want to prepare for the possibility of no mailing. (yeah I know...)

I mean, what are the odds of a director with signing power working the weekend before a major holiday? Unless the signing was done Th/Fri and the packaging after signing doen Saturday.

We'll find out Monday, at any rate.

almostthere1- even if they were matched ahead, imagine the time it takes just getting them ready to mail to, what? HOW many agencies?? It must take a tremendous amount of work...

Again, I don't think they match that far in advance anyway.
