Changed their mind

The Spanish site is now saying the cut off might be the 5th-9th instead of the 12th. They say two sources are saying the 12th and one source is saying the 5th-9th.

On this side of the pond, I don’t have anything new.

On another note, on Thursday I’d like to do a blog post linking to blogs showing kids, adults, and even dogs and cats dressed up in their Halloween costumes. So, get your pictures uploaded to your blogs Wednesday night and PM or email the URL and name of the blog to me and Thursday I’ll put them up on a blog post.

As far as I’m concerned, with the recent posts going back and forth, I’ll keep my attention focused on this site, thank you very much…
    Thanks RQ!

Well each month I do the same thing and drink the Kool Aid and each month I go ahead and get burned.

    Hi, there,

I just have one little question about older posts saying that according to a couple of agencies the 10th is in. Te 10th of december was a Saturday in 2005. The CCAA does not register on Saturdays or Sundays unless it is the Saturday or Sunday previous to a major holiday (Chinese New Year, First of May, or First of October), because that is what they do so they can then take 7 days off in a row, they work the previous week-end.

  7. mammam Says:

    Well, here we go again.
Why do I have this feeling of de-ja-vu?

To be honest with you, I’m not ready; I’m in the middle of something big in my career. The house isn’t ready. The father isn’t ready. I haven’t told the cats. My front door needs another coat of lucky red paint. And I hate flying and being ripped off at Christmas.

Looking at the numbers from the March poll, sometime between the 5th and 9th would seem to make sense, although I would LOVE to exceed that. Still, there’s a lot of difference between the 5th and 9th, seems like they’re all bigger days in there. I just don’t want to see December take more than 3 months.

  9. almostthere1 Says:

Not surprised -after looking at the poll and the previous months actuals - I was surprised that anyone was estimating they may get farther than the 5th!

    Bummer

My only hope for some good that will come out of this Spanish site situation is that a few more people will finally understand the value of RQ and the way she goes about this impossible task of trying to assess the information that is out there.

One of these days I suspect you are going to get fed up with all this RQ and we will go back to the way it was before you arrived on the scene. As one that was waiting in the days BRQ, I can confidently say a lot more people will understand the value in what you do.

  11. anxiously waiting Says:

    Saw that one coming.

Would have loved to have been wrong but……..

  12. anxiously waiting Says:

Maybe they will get to dec 9 and post it as dec 11 asit is weekend days.

    AW

    ??????????

Anyones guess right now. I am thinking Dec 6 but it is a guess.

  13. eli Says:

i really could care less if the spanish site was wrong or not about the 12th. what i care about is that it’s starting to look like this nightmare is never going to end.

A cutoff of the 12th, while very optimistic, made some degree of sense to me if ccaa wants to keep this program somewhat viable. It made SENSE that we would see a slightly larger than normal batch this month ( since last month was so teeny). and if we see another small batch, where is the hope that december will take less than 6 months to get through?

  14. windthrow Says:

Wow AW if they only get to the 6th that would be pushing a record low in terms of the poll numbers. I will guess the 8th.

  15. mammam Says:

We can only wait and see. I think we will know on Wednesday the 7th November 2007. That is my gut feeling.

    Lets see if I’m right.

  16. waitingforlibby Says:

Oh, but she’s NEVER wrong, right?:)

  17. pootiepie Says:

Why does this not surprise me?

  18. Calamity4e Says:

I’m wondering where all the people are who were flapping their gums about the Spanish RQ yesterday?

    Hello?

RQ, like others here, I appreciate all that you do. I especially appreciate your scepticsim with rumors and your honesty in realying information to us. Granted, it ofetn isn’t what we want to hear– but that is life. I’d rather have a better grounding in what to expect than lolly-bopping around with my head in the sky and “BAAM!”

Personally, I think it will take the CCAA 5 months to complete December with the 5th month including a few days for January. This is simply my own gut– and I hope my gut is wrong and it doesn’t take this long.

With a LID 12/20/05, I don’t expect to see my referral until January. I really really hope it doesn’t take any longer than that. I am hoping for 7-day referral batches.

  19. mcwannab Says:

Who was the char. on SNL in the 80’s who would say all kinds of things and then say “Never Mind”? I have her voice in my head right now playing the part of the Spanish RQ.

  20. windthrow Says:

    Gotta love the web…

    There you go mcwannab

  21. Mom2Isabel Says:

    mcwannab-
Wasn’t it Lisa Lupner (Gilda Radner.) I think it may hvae been in the late 70s though. Of course, I am now showing my age.

  22. my2sons Says:

I think it may have been Rosanne Rosannadanna. “It’s Always Somethin’ !!”

  23. doihear3 Says:

Windthrow is right! It was Emily Litella.
I loved the one with the VIOLINS on TV.

    NEVER MIND….

  24. June Says:

You go, Windthrow & mcwannab!!! Haven’t heard an emily litella ref. in a long time! thanks for the wikip. link, funny stuff. I miss Gilda Radner, one funny lady!

it is always something, if its not one thing its another…

    the truth changes!
    : )

  25. mcwannab Says:

Thank you Windthrow!!! It’s Gilda playing Emily playing the Spanish RQ in my head. And now we have added Lisa Loopner snorting at something boyfriend Todd said, and Rosanna Rosannadanna saying “It’s always something…” and we have a full party going on in my head. It’s a wonder that I get anything done with all these voices in my head.

  26. goingtochina08 Says:

The Hawloween idea is really cute RQ! Thanks for doing that. All of us in the Dec. ‘05 room are really depressed about the new rumors, and I think this would be a fun thing to look at as some of us wait for The Call. I am so hoping it will come this week, but it looks like I will have to go through another weekend…
