My agency also said referrals just went through the 8th. We have 5 families with LID 12/9 and they were informed that they were not in.

Congratulations to everyone expecting referrals. I was told that the priority means couples who are within the desired age range and who are childless will get priority. This is what our Guide told us tha they want to start doing.
Some countries give preference to childless couples. She said it doesn't mean that you won't get a referral but they now have a priority. I have no clue if this is true or not, but she knows someone who works on domestic adoptions in China, and this is what she was told by them concerning international adoptions. She also claims that agencies in some countries have been informed of this priority. This is just second hand information, and may not even mean anything at all.

First, on the "out of review" thing, please remember that different reviewers work at different speeds, so perhaps one agency was told that their people for that month were out of review...

As to thru the 8th...I'm thrilled for every single person who gets their beautiful babies this month. I'm not thrilled though with the batch - this is still below the "average" amount before the horrible month last month. Could this possibly be another downward correction, and then a new slower rate being implemented, possibly?? It won't even be 100 subject of the Kingdom here by the last poll. Those are abysmal numbers...

And it puts us at 12/14/05 on the outside edge of even having hope for next month if this is the new official trend. And about Dec 23 for a Jan cutoff. Seems like the theory that CCAA saying 2 years by end of 07 does not imply that that will be a round cutoff, huh?

I'm so happy for all the 1-8 people (did we ever find any 1-4th people even?)- I obviously understand what y'all are going thru, and it's time for you! You've worked and waited so hard for this, and I'm just so truly happy for you.

Waitingforlibby .. I'm wondering about the same thing.
If it means that anyone who does not fullfill the new demands will be last in the line, does that mean that they wont get a referral? I am probably not getting the point of it. (Hopefully I'm not, cause that would be horrible!!!)

Fingers crossed for Dec 8th!!!!!!!!!! (At least)

I rang the UK Gov to ask if they have anything. They have nothing and know nothing.

What a surprise.

This is a tricky month. It’s got to be the 8th now it’s the only time I've phoned them to ask.

LID 8TH December 2007

8 is my lucky number I was born on the 16th day 2 x 8 = 16 on the 8th Month and I've been with my husband 8 years this has got to be it.

Come on CCAA let us know.

RQ,

A little off topic here...What is your interpretation of the new CCAA posting (dated 10/31/07) regarding "priority rules"?

And congrats to all the early Dec. LIDs...can't wait to see your referral announcements!

Has really one of the Dec Lid'ers with a 12/08 LID received a confirmation from their agency that they are in?

I am sad to see that the CCAA only got through about 7-8 days. I have a LID of 3-07. At this rate, I will have social security benefits with an infant to care for. I was really hoping to see them get through Dec 12 (or so).

Anxiously awaiting AVA....

From another web board that my wife and I are on, we have received e-mails saying Sept of 2006 is out of review. We are LID 10/13/06. I guess getting out of review is another big step...

There was some post yesterday about people with out children and how we wanted to speed this up in whatever way we could ( ex. SN ) Some people thought that was the wrong thing to do.

Well I think I can explain how my wife and I feel, a line from the end of the movie "When Harry met Sally" and Harry tells Sally , "when I met the women that I want to spend the rest of my life with I want the rest of my life to start as soon as possible". Well for at least my wife and I, we want to spend the rest of our lives as parents and we want the rest of our lives to start as soon as possible.

I hope I explained myself correctly. Congrats to all the Dec 05 LIDs and please God speed this rollercoaster up....
