Rumors are scarce

We have two rumors, the one I reported on earlier that says they are going to get at least as far as the 20th, and now one in Europe that says they are going to get at least as far as the 19th.

Neither of these rumors says what the cut off is, they only state a date that will be included. These rumors are likely an R1 or R2 at this point, nothing substantial just yet.

In other news, it appears that Kailee Wells got to meet her donor in China. Here is a China Daily news story about it, and here is a story that explains a bit more of the background in case you aren’t familiar with her story. You can also check out her website as well. You might want to have a tissue handy.

I know we don’t have a cutoff yet but wouldn’t that only be three days of referrals as the 17th and 18th fall on a weekend? I can’t imagine there are too many LIDs for weekends but I know it happens. I looked at our agency’s LIDs for Dec. Jan. and Feb. and not one of them fall on a weekend.

Just my rambling thoughts for today :)

    mom222b,,

I am with you,,, just when you think that there is a pattern, or you tink something is starting to make sense,, theygo and mess it up.. with a very small batch….

As a 12/20 LID person I have to say “You have to be kidding me!”

if the early rumors are for the 19th or 20th, and the patterns of early rumors being optimistic hold true… then we’re in for a world of hurt come the real referrals.

I certainly hope for all of us it’s not true

  5. waitingformeiling Says:

She is not saying that the 19th or the 20th are the cutoff, just that it is likely they are “in”.

  6. mom222b Says:

Considering that the 20th is supposed to be a big day, I would hope they could at least get that out of the way. The 20th would be more in keeping with the recent number of batches.

I don’t think anyone is saying the 19th or the 20th is the cutoff but these early rumors have a way of being true.

I can’t imagine it will be much beyond the 20th but I would love to be proven wrong :)

Keep in mind that some agencies send applications over once a month, and many others only send apps over twice a month. So, to say that the 19th or 20th are included could only mean that their LIDs are covered thru then. That agency’s next LID could very well be not until January 10th or 20th.
It’s a real possibility. And I’m really hoping (for the sake of all our December 05 people, that this is the case.

A story with a happy ending is what I call this story. Thanks for posting the story about Kailee Wells. I have followed this story (through its ups and downs) since I adopted my five year old in 2003. I still remember reading about Kailees story in the People’s Daily in 2003 just hours before I met my own little sweetie. As a result I have periodically followed this story over the past four years…I am really happy for Kailee and her family that things are going well.

  9. MaggieInDallas Says:

RQ, I have sent you an email (more than one, actually) requesting that you allow me back into the forum. I requested to be banned when it looked like my adoption was not going to happen, and I needed not to torment myself by coming here all the time. But now I have my referral and I am busy getting ready to go to China. I really need the help of the RQ community.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post such a question, but I’m out of ideas.

    Thanks!

everytime rumors of the included dates come up, someone points out which dates are weekends and wants to not count those dates. Check the polls. CCAA does do LID’s on weekends! Not every weekend is always included, but enough are where weekend dates do count! Basically, if someone working for CCAA wants a day off, he/she will typically work a weekend to make up for it. So, yes, we must count weekends!

If it does not go through the 20th, no matter where you all are, you will hear my scream in frustration. I’ve been patient. But now, my father-in-law’s cancer is really winning. I just want him to get to see his only son become a father. We are LID 12/20. F-I-L is on borrowed time already and as of today things have taken a bad turn. I’m feeling scared and mad at the moment. We have been virtually powerless on both fronts, becoming parents and keeping F-I-L alive all along but it’s feeling particularly tough right now.

  13. flowerpower Says:

Sadly, it sounds as if the 19th is the cut-off. This has been the pattern with European rumours in the past. This sucks.

  14. RayRDT Says:

HOLY COW, if the 19th is the cut-off, that’s only 5 days !!! My prediction was Dec. 25th to have the same number of referrals than last time. The CCAA is sending less and less referrals each month … I dunno what to think anymore …

Ray who’s really sad today :-(

luvbugsmom~ “everytime rumors of the included dates come up, someone points out which dates are weekends and wants to not count those dates. Check the polls. CCAA does do LID’s on weekends!”

I did point that out because while I am aware that it happens, it is not the norm. The tone of your message seems a bit harsh and I don’t think it was necessary!

  16. WelcomehomeKelly Says:

    Ladyj,

Here’s to sending happy thoughts to you and your family. I wish you and yours all the best.

Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, happy thoughts…

Thanks so much Stef. My acupuncturist told me today that I need to let go of what I cannot control. She was really talking about my father-in-law’s health but I suppose it counts for this too…..but I am thinking Dec 20th, Dec 20th must be included, Dec 20th, please, please, please!!!!
