Already in Europe?

We have a report that referrals with a LID of December 27th have arrived in Europe.

This is one report, and I’d really like to hear it from a couple of people from the agency or (even better) more than one agency before I report it as a sure thing.

To my knowledge, none of the U.S. agencies have issued a Stork Alert. But, if referrals indeed landed in Europe, then there is a good chance they could land in the U.S. today.

Holy Cow! How exciting! I’m not going to get any work done today! Where is the chart of RQ’s predictions for this month? You know, with the good, bad and the ugly guesses… Does the 27th mean “Good”? All I know is that I’m finally beginning to believe that I may see my daughter this year!

Hey - the 27th is the bad case…we may have made the bad case this month. WOOHOO!! 25th is the horrid case. We really had low expectations this month. :)

  10. marissasmom Says:

Thanks for the link. There wasn’t even a Good case predection. How sick that I’m so excited about 8 days…

Well, I’m happy for those of you who will see your child’s faces soon.

  11. Joliewannabe Says:

With an LID of 12/27, we were not expecting this at all. I’m still not sure what to think.
How am I supposed to get any work done today? I am FLIPPING OUT! I feel like I might throw up. I can’t take this. We could be IN this batch, I can’t believe it!

Please…please we need some definitive info soon or my business is going to go under. I can’t work under these conditions! :)

  12. LittleMaplesMom Says:

I’m just happy that the early rumours/thoughts of the one day batch didn’t come to fruition. Eight days isn’t great, but it’s still a lot further than I thought we’d be.

  13. mom2livvy Says:

Oh joy!! Could this be the day?? I was afraid the bad weather in China might have slowed things down.I’m got so much to do here at work but it will be tough to get it done.

  14. RayRDT Says:

My understanding from who I think is the original poster is that the agency *just* confirmed the cut off is the 27th not that referrals are here (we still don’t know if this agency has LIDs between Dec 28-31) …

    Ray.

  15. 3xwait Says:

Does anyone else feel like they are watching paint dry? I keep hitting refresh, going to check out some of my yahoogroups (which takes maybe 30 seconds) then coming back for more news. I can’t stand it!!!!

  16. 4emily Says:

WHoo hoo let’s all hope with fingers crossed this is true!
Hopefully they will FINISH DEC 2005 this round!!! :)
Jumping for joy if its true.

  17. 3xwait Says:

RayRDT, in RQ’s previous blog post (Gathering Speed) someone did say that their French agency has already received referrals. This was said by a different poster than the one in the forum who said the agency just confirmed the cutoff by phone. I don’t know if they are with the same agency or not. :)

  18. mumarlene Says:

Holy Cats!!@!!!…the 27th is great…..keeping our cold fingers and toes crossed in Canada for….even a few more days beyond….we hope!!!

Congrats to all new mommy and daddys to be….

  19. Kimber Says:

Congratualtions to all! I hope they make it that far:) This week is exactly a year since we got our referral. How time flies.

I have never been a daily RQ watcher–until now!!

Hoping that you late Dec ‘05 LID’ers get huge surprises this week.

    Woo-hoo!

  22. French Marianne Says:

    3xwait,
to answer your question… yes it is the same agency (my agency). For the moment in France, it is the only agency that heard of referrals. Several families have phoned my agency to check and the same answer has been made, about the fact LID 27.12.05 were included in their batch.

  23. French Marianne Says:

    3xwait,
to answer your question : yes, it is the same agency (my agency). Several families called - and some even talked to the Director of my agency - and same answer was made : LID 27.12.05 are included in their batch. But for the moment, it is the only French agency that has heard from CCAA.

  24. IrishRM Says:

After waiting five and half years for this (it’s a long waiting system in Ireland).
Our LID is 20th Dec. 2005
    I can’t believe it’s so surreal now.
To think that we might have our first baby soon.
Referrals haven’t hit this part of Europe - its now 4.40pm in Ireland
Congratulations to all those nearly there!
Rx common that all important phone call! weve’ waited long enough!

  25. French Marianne Says:

I’ve tried 3 times to post this. Sorry if it appears several times. To answer your question : YES it is the same agency (my agency). And several families have called and even talked to the Director, who always said the same : families whose LID are 27.12.05 are in their batch.

  26. French Marianne Says:

Haha… RQ … are you stopping my posts at your end, by any chance????

  30. The Gang Says:

“I was afraid the bad weather in China might have slowed things down.” Ha Ha Ha - maybe they got snowed in and just decided to keep working?!

Congrats to all you Dec 05 LIDs that will be coming in this new batch! Certainly gives hope to us 06′ers - to think that we even see the finalization ‘05 will be just a huge cherry on top of the bigger-than-normal- batch sundae :)

  31. kcbock Says:

OH how amazing it would be if they made it through the rest of 2005– the longest year EVER!!!! I will keep my fingers crossed that they make it to the 27th but even better if it is to the 31st!! Keep the faith!!

Congratulations all those Mummys and Daddys!!

  36. jebmbc Says:

It is amazing that we get so excited for the bad case senario. What has this wait done to us? I think it has lowered our expectations tremendously. I am hoping for them to FINISH December!

  39. bella's mom Says:

For those of you who have never heard Don Hendley’s song “Taking You Home”, here are the lyrics. This song played a very big part in my adopting my first daughter. For many of use now, the most important line is “There were days, lonely days, when the world wouldn’t throw me a crumb; but I kept on believing this day would come.” I highly recommend buying the CD.

    TAKING YOU HOME
    I had a good life
    Before you came
I had my friends and my freedom
    I had my name
Still there was sorrow and emptiness
    til you made me glad
Oh, in this love I found strength
    I never knew I had
    And this love
Is like nothing I have ever known
    Take my hand, love
    Im taking you home
    There were days, lonely days
When the world wouldn’t throw me a crumb
    But I kept on believing
    That this day would come
    And this love
Is like nothing I have ever known
    Take my hand love
    Im taking you home
Home, where we can be with the ones
    who really care
Home, where we can grow together
Keep you in my heart forever.
    – Don Hendley

Wow!!!! That is amazing. We are 12/20 so we know we are in this batch but only have been told we’d probably get a picture this week or next. In the past when Europe was getting referrals, how far behind was the US?

  41. LilysMum Says:

    Bella’s Mom,
Just bought “Taking You Home” on ITunes. Today was one of those most lonely days, but trying to believe that the day will come….
    Thanks for the recommendation.
