Gathering Speed?
A U.S. agency is now hinting that this may be a bigger batch as well. Specifically, that we may see most of December referred in this batch.
I’m very close to taking this one to an R3. Remember, an R3 doesn’t mean I think it will happen, it just means we have multiple agencies saying it and I’m reporting that they are saying it. I’d like to have one more agency say it before I actually take it to an R3.
In the past we’ve had very small months followed by larger months. Last month was a very small month.
But, we’ve also had small months followed by small months, so that doesn’t really guarantee anything.
It looks like the roller coaster is going to head off towards the big hills this month. Buckle in, keep arms and legs inside, and try not to throw up.
UPDATE: An agency is now saying the 27th, so we’ll put that at an R3 now.

It almost seems too good to be true :) :) Let’s see a huge batch everyone, I know the December/early January families must be anxious.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, let this rumour come true. Then maybe, just maybe we might get our referral THIS year.
I’ve got everything crossed but I’m NOT going to board the roller coaster.

Congrats to everyone who would be next. We are just praying to get into 2006. Hoping that this rumor is true…
We have a long way to go but with getting into 2006 referrals, then at least we know we are one our way to ours. Even if it will be a long wait.

It seems that it may be a bigger batch than lately though…on the discussion board a french agency has said they may go to the 27th which would be great if its true. Watch out everyone, the roller coaster is climbing!!!

RQ or other number crunchers in RQ land ~
IF we assume that the 20th was mostly matched last month, would making it to the end of the month be an average sized referral batch? Or (hopefully) would making it to the end of month be a larger than expected batch, assuming that the 20th was mostly matched last month?
In either event, this would be a great month and a huge congratulations to everybody in RQ land and especially to the remaining 12/05 and all 01/06 families.

I’m ready to hurl too! (LOL) and I’m not as close as some of y’all. I am telling myself that anything beyond a 1 day batch (since the 20th was so big on that last poll) would be AWESOME. Telling myself not to believe the huge batch rumors in my head, but my heart and stomach are doing flip-flops.

If they made it to the 27th, it would be a nice sized batch, but not ridiculously big. On the old poll, it would be about 124 RQ familes. Just a bit bigger than average.
There are many more votes on the new poll of course, but we’re not supposed to be using that one anyway yet. Plus I have my doubts about the huge numbers of votes on that new poll, so I’m still taking it with a grain of salt..

jeha2003, I don’t know if December 27 is the last date in December that the French agency has dossiers, but it will be interesting to see if the cut-off announced by the agency is the same. I suppose so but…we never know.

Sorry for not having been clear. Referrals have arrived in my parisian agency for families whose dossier are logged in before 27th December 2007 (inluded). No I do not know the next LID of our agency… Sorry.

If referrals have arrived in France, when should the U.S. start seeing them? I realize that there is no “normal” with anything relative to this process anymore, but, in general (in the past), are U.S. referrals received close to European referrals?

this is great news that they’d make it to the 27th of Dec. I have 2 thoughts though that keep me worried…
The first, the idea that heading for the big hills is really what we used to be disappointed by. I just cannot get excited by this size of a batch. to the end of December… perhaps that will peak my interest, otherwise it’s approximately the same old same old. The second, that there will no longer be a hard cut off and that some agencies and countries will be referred further ahead, and some consequently will be further behind.
I guess a compilation being shared of all the private info from many agencies will tell the whole picture.
