In the air?

Two agencies are now saying that something is headed their way and expected to arrive Monday.

Still nothing firm on a cut-off, but no one is talking about any dates past the 12th.

What a strange month this is, but what did I expect when it was our turn?

Hopefully we will hear something more concrete before Monday. I just want to know!

    LID 1/10

  2. cherchersophie Says:

Our agency told us that they have matched through the 12th. They do not know if they have mailed yet but said CCAA usually gets everything mailed before a holiday.
    Best Wishes to All!!

To me..Friday or Monay makes complete sense because TAs started arriving on Monday….and I always say 3-5 business days later referrals have often arrived. RQ do we know if these agencies have received TAs yet?
Congrats to everyone receiving a referral this month…

  4. waitingforbbsis Says:

Thank you skingspan. So Monday will probably be the day.

  9. Dragon Fly Says:

Does anyone know how I would estimate the number of referral days inbetween now and my logg in date June 2, 2006. I see people that list that and I really want to be able to count down accuratly and mark off days. Thanks

  10. daisycat Says:

It would be nice if they include some Chinese heritage referrals as well.

Congratulations to everyone who will be included in this batch.

  11. hotmama Says:

    Dragon Fly,
It’s impossible to know how many days the CCAA will match each month — as RQ always says, they can choose to do the same, a lot more or a lot less.

That said, I have a “count down” sheet for the remaining 59 or so days until they reach our LID of 3/14/06. I am assuming that, between now and the August Olympics, they will issue referrals for an average of 6 days per month.

I then pick up the pace a little in September to an average of 10-12 days or so. I don’t know if that pick-up will occur after the Olympics, but conventional wisdom at this point says it just might. And it makes me feel better. This gives me a fun activity each month (crossing off days on my count down sheet). Good luck!

  12. Juliasfolks Says:

After almost 28 months, not counting the year and half before our LID, it looks like just one more long weekend!!

    Dragon Fly

We are the same LID as you! I calculated September or October 2010. That would give each month five days. I know it can be more or less so I thought it would be an average. I just printed out each month up until Oct 201 and put it in my diary. It does make it feel that you can cross another month off. Hpoe this helps

  14. jeffjenny Says:

SN LOAs are arriving today. Looks like the CCAA mailed something before they left on holiday.

  15. mom2LK Says:

juliasfolks – There is still a chance that we will get the call on Friday. Hang in there!!

  16. strawberry Says:

congrats to all getting referrals…last year at this time we got ours :) ..thats hard to believe.. our LID was 10/31/05 i cant believe they have only gone a few months in the past year
i hope you guys get calls tomorrow (we got ours a day early too)

  17. wait4ever Says:

Who’s counting with me? 127 days until the Olympics are over. Let’s pray the 3 agencies who said it will speed up are correct. Congrats to all who have referrals. LID 1-07…To China 2011 or 2012??

  18. shamrock Says:

    Hi Everyone
I wonder if anyone knows about the SN lists. Our agency did not get Hague accred. yet and do not have SN list. What can we do? Can we ask the CCAA for the list or how does it work?
    Thank you

  21. Carol Says:

Last month’s packets were reported to us to have gone in the mail on Wednesday, which was actually China’s Tuesday, and we were told not to expect to see anything before Monday (some b/s that DHL did not do deliveries to our agency’s HQ on Saturdays). Nevertheless, I was sitting in a courtroom in trial when our referral came through on my Blackberry — mid-morning on Friday.

    Here’s hoping for pictures tomorrow!!!

  22. lamarrero Says:

help help help please. I almost lost it totally when I read about LID’s in 2006 possibly getting referrals in (EGAD) 2011. I just need to know how those numbers were arrived at. I dearly love a good number, but dearer still is my calculator. My heart is falling out of my chest, we are so shocked in our little home. Thank you, Lisa

  23. leigh Says:

    lamerrero,

At best, 3 months of LID referred per year. We’re looking at a late 2008, early 2009 referral for a 2/06 LID. If the CCAA continues at the present rate, it could easily be 2011 or later before 2006 LID’s are completed. So, so sorry…..

  24. lillysmom07 Says:

Thanks RQ for all you do!
So thrilled to be able to post here and say….
    I AM NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to shout but this is shoutin stuff!
    Wohoo!

  25. yviefaye Says:

Is there somewhere that explains how many lids there are between now and my lid of Sept 8th 06. Do I count every day? Omit weekends and holidays? Or is there somewhere that logs every LID. If I count every day and assume 5 days are referred each month between now and my LID I will be waiting for another 4 years and I will 55.
Come on China stop messing with peoples lives and give out some accurate information.so we can make some tough decisions.

  26. millie12 Says:

I am glad for all the people getting referrals.

Being Sept 06 LID i too would like to know how to calculate the wait properly.

I have put the end ofNov -dec 09 in my diary, I need to have hope. I am praying for a speed up – and hope that come jan 09 they may open up other orphanages and this may result in a speed up. Do I make sense?. Probably not.

Anyway one these blasted Olympics are out of the way, we’ll know what way we are going, one way or the other.

FOr now though, i’ll have to continue doing positive thinking.

  27. Nancy Says:

yviefaye and millie12, I think your best bet is to just count calendar days as LID’s. Then when you’re tracking how many days they refer each month, include the weekend days. Sometimes people do have LID’s on Saturday and even Sunday.

  28. sophie_mom Says:

An early congratulations to all of you about to see your child’s photo for the first time!!! You’ve waited a lonnnnggg time for this.

I still remember the referral days for my girls (June 2004 and February 2007) like they were yesterday!
