Review Room
First, I’ve again updated the list of orphanages in the earthquake zone.
Now, to talk about the Review room. If you haven’t read it already, you may want to read through the links in the Important Posts section to the right. But for our purposes right now the important link is the one called “How the Review Room Works“.
Read through that and then you will understand how it is possible that some agencies are being told that their January people are through review, but that not all of January is necessarily through review yet.
When the box changes we know that all of January is through review. And even then, people can still be notified of questions up to a few weeks after the box changes, since it apparently sometimes takes a while for the agency to be notified and then the agency to notify the parents.
Some agencies are being told that their people are out of review, but I have not seen where any agency is reporting that the box has changed to show that all of January is out of review.
So, if your agency has told you that you’re out, then you are out. If not, then you probably should not assume you are out until either a week or two after the box changes or your agency tells you that you are out of the review room.

Rq: Back to the earthquake. CCaa as you know released a response and a link if we all want to donate. Do you think it’s safe to donate through hem or shouild we just donate through our agencys or other charities?

The CCAA’s response says “We will make timely arrangement and help the institutions rebuild themselves after the disaster.”
That tells me the money given directly to CCAA will be for rebuilding later, not taking care of urgent needs right now.
My money is going to HTS right now, because the orphanages are going to need disposable diapers since they can’t wash cloth diapers right now, and they need clean water and blankets and tents, and they are going to run out of formula before long.

Thanks RQ. That helped with the decision.

Very interesting to read the comments on the review room post from 2006.

Could someone out there shed some light on what is going on in the review room? We had an LID of 01-10-2006 and did not get a referral because of a photo concern. CCAA will not issue our new LID. I think RQ needs to warn parents about what is happening because we have already waited 28 months and may have to waith another year! A lot of people do not know this is going on and neither do a lot of agencies.

myligrace08:
what photo concern could that possible be? What could make them not issue yo u referral based on a photo?

We do not know exactly what the problem was. The photo could have been lost, not sent, or rejected. All we know is that we had to resubmit. We were not warned of a delay and our agency says that they were not aware of us being put back. We know now that we came out of the review room with the next batch 90 days later. Now, we are having trouble finding out with what LIDs we are with. Please pray.

Hi Everyone
I hope someone can help with some information. We were hoping to host a child or children for the summer and live in South Jersey. Does anyone know how I can get details? I can’t seem to get into the blog area to ask this so I apologise.
Thank you for your help.

Shamrock, I don’t have the answer to your request but I live in South Jersey too. We live in Ventnor, where do you live? Are you LID, home, or paperchasing?
