Our hearts are broken for them all. As another mom of older children and toddlers, I agree that this has to be the toughest thing to deal with. Steven Curtis Chapman had a lot to do with encouraging us to adopt through his example and he has always been so kind and wrote that song for the family who lost their daughter in Columbine "This was her Time" and there was another song he wrote for a family friend who lost a child tragically. I have heard such wondeful things about him for years and I am so sorry to see this family suffer such an awful tragedy at a time that should have been happy with an engagement and a graduation dinner. The poor son...I can't imagine the guilt he must be feeling. I read on SCC's blog that just hours ago they were celebrating his oldest daughter's engagement. If you go onto his blog there are some video clips of beautiful Maria washing dishes with her father. Their daughter Maria just turned 5 years old ten days ago. My daughter's age. Wow. And then I made the mistake of reading Perez Hilton and the some of the comments that people left about the accident were just horrific. What is wrong with people???
