Nothing this morningI don’t see any rumors about the next cut off yet. If they are to arrive next Friday then we should have rumors. They may not arrive next Friday, of course, but that’s the most likely day. If anyone has anything, please email it to me.

Maybe it will take a little longer than the “most likely day” because there are more LID’s included in this batch! I’m hoping!

dmquinn2, let’s not start another “could the earthquake affect…” thread. I don’t mean you’ve said something wrong, but look what happened to yesterday’s thread. Besides, there’s no way of knowing.

Since we have no rumors to talk about lets talk about what everyone did over the long weekend. That should distract us for say five minutes or so…We spent the weekend at the soccer field. My dd had a soccer tourn. They didn’t do so well but had alot of fun any way. We went to DS graduation on Sun. Needless to say I was crying before we even left the house. Who gives these kids permission to get all grown up?

dmquinn2, I really don’t think so. I’m sure that they continued to receive children files from the other provinces, if not Sichuan and have been able to continue their MUCH APPRECIATED work! Although, I’m sure they must feel devastated to hear of Sichuan SWI and government staffers that they know personnally that must have been affected by the earthquakes.
I hope all of you waiting to be in this next batch get your referrals soon! You’ll be overjoyed! We are LID Nov. 2007 for our third precious daughter from China.

I spent the weekend on a field trip with 47 teenagers (14 year olds). Four days in San Francisco, they did very well on the flight down and back but in between….

i spent the weekend clicking on the refresh button trying to get to the forum — rofl. i appreciate all you do to keep this site going, rq, so please take this as a compliment when i say that i am suffering from forum withdrawal.
so any 5-1 loa’s out there with a juicy rumor about when the rest of the ta’s are coming :-) i *was* waiting quite patiently until yesterday…does that count for anything?

Another thing I wanted to mention - when speaking about the earthquake, watching the news, etc., please be extra careful about “little ears” that may be in the other room, playing outside, etc. My daughter (6 years old) had a complete meltdown lastnight. When I finally calmed her down enough to talk, she asked in between sobs “Is my baby sister okay?” Not only had she overheard us but people talking in the supermarket, at school, etc. I had no idea how much of all this she was hearing and how worried the poor little thing has been about the baby.

to slubber, i am also waiting on TA with an LOA on 5/1. if you can believe what happened to me - my agency called on Friday that I received TA - yeahhh… not. i called them on Tues to tell them i had not received their e-mail re; next steps and they said they have no idea why they called me. no TA. can you believe it!! so i continue to wait but someone did receive theirs yesterday….

I melted in upper 90 degree weather at a kid’s birthday party at the ZOO!!!!
Yup, nothing like being in menopause while sweating like a beast among the stench of beasts.

Since there were only 3 days referred last month, I won’t know how to make any predictions based on the next batch unless it is big (which I sadly doubt). If it is 1 day…we all assume it is due to the earthquake…or is it a continuation of the decline? Of course it is great for those receiving referrals, but it does not help the rest of us looking way ahead.

I just wish more people would not focus so much on words such as “Continuation of Decline” and other negative words that are used so frequently on here. I’m in the same boat as the people who have been waiting awhile and I just wish people would try to be more positive.
Have you ever heard the saying that the more you focus on what you don’t want that you bring that negative energy to you as opposed to focusing on what you do want you bring more of that positive energy to you?
I get tired of reading all the negativity.

I don’t think it is fair to make people think there is going to be a speed up when there is no evidence of one. People are trying to plan their lives, we try to point out what is likely here. Maybe it’s not what people want to hear, but I’m not going to lie to try to make people feel better. Sure, it might make someone happy for a short time, but then the crash happens when they don’t get their referral when they thought they would.

I was referring to a comment that someone else had made. I would never want anyone to lie or to make false assumptions. All I was saying is that I wish more people on here would try to be more positive instead of always focusing on the negative.

I understand how these people feel with a long wait ahead myself. I am just trying not to focus on the negativity, trying to maintain positive thoughts.
