This is my first time posting a comment. We are lid 1/24/06, our agency just e-mailed us and and said that they have received referrals for the 1/17/06 people and also stated that ccaa told them not to expect these June referral people to travel until after the Olympics.

If I may ask… Was this from a non-American agency? There has been talk that this might be an issue for those whose consulate is located in Beijing.

We got our referral today – a baby girl born on September 24, 2007 in the province of Chongqoing. 8-1/2 months old.
Our agency says we should travel before the Olympics as we aren’t traveling through Beijing.

ford, It is an American agency, they stated that “We did receive notification from CCAA that these June referrals will most likely not be able to travel until after the Olympics.” Congradulations to all who are seeing their babies for the first time. Congratulations all! We got our call and a picture today. She is the most precious thing I’ve ever seen. She lives in the Beijing area and we too were told that travel would likely have to wait until after the Olympics. She is older than I thought she’d be at 18 months. In her picture she is standing up like a big girl with a few tiny teeth in her smile:-)

Congratulations to all! I’m surprised that we haven’t heard that 1/22 is the official cut of date other than from an agency in France. Anyone else out there hear of anything later than 1/20?

We got our referral today! It’s a boy and he’s almost 2 1/2 years old!!!! From Guangdong province. Shocked and beyond thrilled!!!!!!!!
Luckily we hadn’t really started on the nursery yet or bought anything that was for boy/girl or infant. For those who are curious, we had requested girl OR boy, 6-18 months, what a wonderful surprise!!!

Since there were probably only a handful of logins on 1/21 and 1/22 ( the weekend) I anticipated that we might not ever hear from these people –and thus we would probably not know of the official cutoff until it was posted on the ccaa site. I’m hoping this comes soon. I still think it’s so odd to have a cutoff on a sunday — but i’ll believe it when i see it!

My friend called to say that her sister and dh were referred a gorgeous little boy. I don’t know the details yet, but he
is about 13 months old. She is excited to have a nephew.
Her sister and dh requested girl or boy, and I think over 24 months. They got a picture of him in a pink sweater, and were confused at first. But he is definitely a boy.
